Thanks! I have since sold it. I wanted to upgrade to a s550 actually. For creature comforts. Now I drive a 22 ram 1500! Things have changed and I could not be happier. I do miss how much of a highway rocket the 550 is.
Been a min since I sold my car BUT my local Benz shop was able to plug into the car and reset the parameters on my air suspension. It was really the move. In sport mode it was flush, but if I was driving on nasty city roads I would take it out and it would lift like an 3/4 of an inch.
What radar detector are you using? Also, is the windshield similar to the s class where it only has a couple spots to mount the radar detector? Thanks. Great car!
Thanks Marco, I had the RW Diffuser installed on my 2012 CLS550, and it looks great. How did you get your front 275 width tires to fit? Today, I had 19" Michelin Sport4S, 265 width tires mounted up front, but the tires are so wide that they rub up against the Airmatic Strut badly. The shop manager will try to see if spacers will solve the problem tomorrow. Otherwise, I will have to purchase another set of front tires. My rears have a width of 295 and fits well. Did you have to use spacers to make the tires fit?
Hey Joe! Are you mounting on stock wheels ? The Brixton wheels I got (speciifically designed for this car and gen) have an offset. With the offset I was able to get the tires to fit.

Did you have to you have to replace the ENTIRE bumper panel, in order to make the RW diffuser fit your CLS550? I just called RW and they said their diffuser will not fit on a CLS550. They said it will only fit on a CLS63.
On the MP world forum I put a pretty detailed post if you Google it. You’ll be able to figure out exactly how I did it. There are some OEM parts for exhaust hangers you’ll have to buy. But look for CLS 63 diffuser install on CLS 550. You do not have to replace the whole rear bumper it is only the lower section it is two pieces.

Umm exhause set up cost... depends on how much you find a amg exhaust for. I found one local. It was off a totalled E63S. Hada shop bolt it up. I posted on the mercedes forum how to do it properly. You will have to search on the MBworld forum. Becuase you need to swap lower seciton of the bumper, get more exhaust hangers etc. Expensive and I would not do it again. If I were to do it again. Res delete and call it a day.

Hey there - I have a uniden R1. I am unaware the Sclass having issues with a radar detector. Mine worked great all over.

Sold the car years back. This video was for the sale.
If I where to do it again I would just do a res delete and out and pipe. Would sound the same.

is your car lowered with the programming or links ? any issues with the lower ?
I had it reprogramed at my shop. They set it up so in sport mode it was lowered and comfort, stock height. No issues.

I actually had my Shop lower it with the star module. They adjusted it and got it dialed in so it did not rub at all.

Car has air ride suspension just push button and it lowers!
