EEG of Patient After Car Accident

  • My name is Jared Beckwith, I’m a registered EEG technologist. In this video I review a patient’s EEG after a car crash into a tree. The EEG record showed diffuse theta waves (4-7/second) representing generalized brain dysfunction. A normal EEG shows alpha waves (8-12/second).

    Hard to see much other than the pops. Turn up the gain! What program is this?

      You’re right, this EEG is lower amplitude than most normal records. Adjusting the sensitivity could help see the theta waves better. I’m reading the EEG’s on my own review software called AiON.
