The next volume, _Battle Angel Alita: Mars Chronicle Volume 10_ is finally coming out in February, after more than 2 years waiting. After the original first series of books, there's 2 more series, _The Last Order_ and _Mars Chronicle._ Great video. I subbed because I saw your latest video.

This series is the biggest and most grandiose story of her whole life journey, it's relentless, and disturbing. _Mars Chronicle_ is extremely original and refreshing after the amazing action-packed _Last Order,_ and you get to learn incredible new things about Alita and her origins. I won't say more. It's been so long, I should reread a lot before the new volume.

the reason anime became a force in the west is because the japanese culture is an old school conservative culture that still values education philosophy contemplation introspection politness etiquette real masculinity real femininity gender roles which are things that poeple in the west dont find in their moden media. and it reflects on their stories which are usually based on internal struggle. all of this contrast western media which praises degeneracy and perversion and illiterracy and mindless fun and superficiel extravagence . western characters are usally disrespectful and ironic and lack any sort of emotional or intellectual depth and that is seen as cool or as the ' norm '
Unlike America, they can still escape their wage slavery through decent escapism with normal gender roles, gatekeeping has helped them hold the line longer but the east is being targeted now pretty hard by the usual large scale corporate enemies.
@@venomsnack Yeah, I respect Anno, but as far as greatest anime director goes, you can never go wrong with either Yoshiyuki Tomino or Ryosuke Takahashi (VOTOMS is one of my favorite anime btw).
