My trick when making quiche: I never layer the ingredients in the pie pan. I scramble the egg mixture and just throw all ingredients into the egg mixture, give it a good mix and pour it all in to the pie pan. It gets evenly distributed.

Yes but don’t over mix the eggs or you’ll get spongy eggs. Also use room temperature eggs and mix gently

Wow! I have been baking rich, creamy quiche since 1972 when mom purchased the latest appliance…a microwave oven. The recipe in the Litton cookbook was Crustless. Delicious! I was a teenager, then and never knew that quiche could have a crust until you just taught me right here! This looks amazing! I will bake this asap.
Can I use this crust for keto custard pies, too?

Mmmmm…😋😋 I started eating crustless quiches sooo many years ago and it just honestly never occurred to me to add a crust back to it!! I think because I made the individual ones to grab on the way out to work? Anyway, when I stopped going to the office, I started making one large quiche again, but still crustless!! Thanks for the reminder! Everyone loves crust! 💕

Annie- Pillsbury Crescent Rolls. So many appetizers call for using a tube of crescent rolls as a crust on a cookie sheet (bake the crescent roll crust, cool, top with cream cheese and smoked salmon, cut into squares, for example). Could I use this recipe in such an application? Advice? Direction? Thanks, Doll! You are a Keto Rock Star! 💚💕💚

    • @gladysobrien1055

I don’t see why not! If pillsbury can sell their chemical filled horrible tasting rancid fat dough for you to use their way….(i had been offered pillsbury pastry once in my life…it was awful tasting. Used as an egg roll wrapper!)
Why shouldn’t this healthy buttery flakey healthy low carb crust be used the way you want to! And most likely with better results!

Thousand-dollar idea bakery owners and farmers market stand operators. I wish people would sell frozen balls of keto dough like Pilsbury has pre-made options. I don't want the whole meal made, just this step skipped. Same with "sugar" cookies, pizza crust, and the list goes on. It would not be hard for others to store a frozen option people could buy.
