Oh man; should I be looking at an UST projector rather than a flagship OLED for our new cinema room / snug? Need to find out how I can demo one of these I think.

This looks good! Still not convinced it would be as good as one of those really humongous TVs or an OLED, but looks to be a worthy option. Great video!

This can go up to 150-inches and can do 3D.
Not even my 77-inch Sony A95L QD-OLED TV can compete with this projector when it comes to IMMERSION.
Picture quality is a different topic.
You wouldn't understand if you've never watched a made-for-IMAX movie on a TRUE IMAX screen. I'll take a huge projector screen size any day for watching movies with my friends and family vs watching movies with them on a 77-inch QD-OLED TV.
Gaming however OLED offers better performance and picture quality but projectors offer greater immersion for single player games.
The best of both worlds would be buying a HUGE Micro LED TV that can cover an entire large wall.

@@TheAntifluencerobviously you haven’t seen one in person. It has over 1 billion colors, your Oleg has half that amount and yo can fit for Oleds in one 120” UST screen. It’s immersive, cinematic experience not a reflective computer screen look.

Also no eye fatigue from a ust as it's not directly lit as TVs are. This is a major factor over tvs

I really like my projector and 100in screen. Movies are great. Not quite the picture quality of my s90c and qled tvs, but it is very fun and watchable. It's not your projector quality, but mine is very affordable. I just can't see buying a 85in or larger tv when in 5 years or so you have to replace it. Those are big ass tvs to move around.
I am glad to see KG into projectors, they have always been an interest of mine. Good job KG!

    • @TechWithKG

I share the same thoughts on buying large TVs it scares me personally thinking about the logistics of it and if there is something wrong with the screen you have to deal with that hassle.

I've always loved projectors for watching movies. I prefer televisions for sports, tv and gaming. NOTHING beats a projector for movies. For me, it's not even about image quality as I KNOW my 4k tv has better image quality than my projector. It's about the ambiance. I've setup two home theaters in my last two houses. It's never very fancy, but it's the BEST way for me to watch a movie.

Not happening until TV's reach 150 inches or higher.
UST projectors can go up to 150-inches which is still more immersive vs a 115-inch TV in a dark room.

One question, could you please test the HDR10+ feature? Prime Video has some content with that codec.
Please! I've noticed that some brands says 'HDR10+' in a way to cover normal HDR10 reproduction. I want to really know if supports that (:

    • @TechWithKG
      @TechWithKG  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

Contrast was one of the things that surprised me it definitely helps to be in a completely dark room, and it definitely wasn't as bad as the video showed for Forza 5 that was filmed with some ambient lights on and it was an SDR capture from my Xbox (I thought it recorded in HDR it didn't). While its not OLED level no where near that its pretty close to an entry level LCD that + the size makes for a solid movie watching experience.
