Oh man; should I be looking at an UST projector rather than a flagship OLED for our new cinema room / snug? Need to find out how I can demo one of these I think.
I really like my projector and 100in screen. Movies are great. Not quite the picture quality of my s90c and qled tvs, but it is very fun and watchable. It's not your projector quality, but mine is very affordable. I just can't see buying a 85in or larger tv when in 5 years or so you have to replace it. Those are big ass tvs to move around. I am glad to see KG into projectors, they have always been an interest of mine. Good job KG!
I share the same thoughts on buying large TVs it scares me personally thinking about the logistics of it and if there is something wrong with the screen you have to deal with that hassle.
This looks good! Still not convinced it would be as good as one of those really humongous TVs or an OLED, but looks to be a worthy option. Great video!
This can go up to 150-inches and can do 3D. Not even my 77-inch Sony A95L QD-OLED TV can compete with this projector when it comes to IMMERSION. Picture quality is a different topic. You wouldn't understand if you've never watched a made-for-IMAX movie on a TRUE IMAX screen. I'll take a huge projector screen size any day for watching movies with my friends and family vs watching movies with them on a 77-inch QD-OLED TV. Gaming however OLED offers better performance and picture quality but projectors offer greater immersion for single player games. The best of both worlds would be buying a HUGE Micro LED TV that can cover an entire large wall.
@@TheAntifluencerobviously you haven’t seen one in person. It has over 1 billion colors, your Oleg has half that amount and yo can fit for Oleds in one 120” UST screen. It’s immersive, cinematic experience not a reflective computer screen look.
Great job KG, i've been looking forward to this video and hoping to see more on USTs down the road. I think that this is going to be a good route for movie watching and sports. Loved the video and great channel.
How does this projector's picture quality compare to a TV? Is it similar to the U7N or closer to a U8N? I haven't found any stores in London where I can see a demo. Did you end up purchasing the upgraded version?
to check this kind of product in person is sometimes hard because there are no shops with this product in showrooms, just to say that probably is the capture by the camera but the image looks a bit dimm, right? Seems is need more punch in the image
I've always loved projectors for watching movies. I prefer televisions for sports, tv and gaming. NOTHING beats a projector for movies. For me, it's not even about image quality as I KNOW my 4k tv has better image quality than my projector. It's about the ambiance. I've setup two home theaters in my last two houses. It's never very fancy, but it's the BEST way for me to watch a movie.
Not happening until TV's reach 150 inches or higher. UST projectors can go up to 150-inches which is still more immersive vs a 115-inch TV in a dark room.
That UST projector is really amazing dude. Thanks for sharing with us! One question, could you please test the HDR10+ feature? Prime Video has some content with that codec. Please! I've noticed that some brands says 'HDR10+' in a way to cover normal HDR10 reproduction. I want to really know if supports that (:
Contrast was one of the things that surprised me it definitely helps to be in a completely dark room, and it definitely wasn't as bad as the video showed for Forza 5 that was filmed with some ambient lights on and it was an SDR capture from my Xbox (I thought it recorded in HDR it didn't). While its not OLED level no where near that its pretty close to an entry level LCD that + the size makes for a solid movie watching experience.
It’s plenty Lumens, plus AWOL’s have Ricoh 2.0 9 piece optical glass lens. It will kick your OLEDs ass and do it at 150”. Keep watching your suped up computer screen.
YES welcome to the club! It’s all about size immersion my friends
THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID. 😅

Would definitely like to see more UST projector content!
Definitely in the plans!

Also no eye fatigue from a ust as it's not directly lit as TVs are. This is a major factor over tvs
I have the ViewSonic x1-4k and while HDR doesn't look that great , the SDR contents looks incredible specially movies

Thanks, and yes its awesome for sports I watched a lot of playoff games on it this year it was a good experience.

Prices need to come down on these ust projectors 98 inch tvs for 2000 or less are here
I've also really considered this option
Do you think UST projectors should be in the running for those looking to replace our older OLEDs for a newer model, i.e. LG G4 etc?
Yo you have me thinking about this now , would love to see you review short throws 👍🏻
Very nice projector. Enjoy
Given the increase in huge screen tvs especially from hisense & tcl, I wonder if these projectors will come down in price?

I believe I watched stuff on Amazon in HDR 10+ it seemed to look fine but I’ll double check
@@TechWithKG thanks i will be aware :)
How low does the projector have to be positioned relative to the bottom of the screen?
Depends how high your screen is if it is a floor rising like this the projector will be placed on the floor
@@TechWithKG fix frame 150inch I want a big screen trying to see if it would fit in my house.
What's the motion blur like when gaming? Better than LCDs and oleds?
Motion blur isn't an issue with this projector, I had no problems.
Hi, how is the fan noise?
I don’t ever really notice it personally so for me it’s not an issue it’s not gonna drown out content or anything like that
See more projectors
Definitely would love to check out more USTs in the future.
I don't like projectors, contrast not good enough.
But u should ask Samsung to send u their 98 Inch Micro LED, that's the TV we all want
Yeah, the contrast was exposed in that racing game he played. It did look good with Ratchet and Clank tho!

Lol Samsung definitely won't be sending anyone that let alone me.
AWOL are charging ridiculous price ,
For these projectors, because it’s fake 4 k 😢.
I agree on the price for fake 4K.
Aside from that, at least this UST projector can do 150 inches and also run 3D movies.
Real 4K would cost twice as much and you can’t even tell the difference. Did you watch the video? Pay attention.
3000 lumens equals 875 nits… too dim.

@@jaychannel8558 wrong again. You’re unable to understand basic math and are blatantly incorrect.
This feels like an overpriced gadget. Anyone? 😅
