I've been playing around with tekkenbot prime, and I think I understand how instant while running moves come out. After the third forward input, at point blank range, your character is considered "running" for a single frame after the input. Meaning that if you input your button at the same frame as the final forward input, you are not considered running. To sum up, instant while running moves will only come out if you input your button presses the exact frame after your final forward input. Edit: I would also like to mention that this is super interesting to me since I always thought that it was my forward inputs that messed up my iSW, when in fact it was just the timing of the grab.
Aeterna you are literally the only other person I’ve seen on the internet that understands this. It’s pretty obvious if you look at inputs during practice, If you input f+2+4 on the final f it doesn’t work. Exactly like you said, it has to be the frame after. All I know for sure is its tight, 1 or 2 frames tops.
Years later and I’m finally coming around to playing King and this is still a kick ass tutorial! I’m not super consistent with the instant Shining Wizard yet but landing it in match is so satisfying

Wow!!! After a week of vigorous training I found this video. Now after 10 mins I can isw in combos consistently that I was practicing for hours and previously failing.. Thank God for you man, I was getting extremely discouraged untill now. Thanks again.
@@Avicenna_ its not so easy to do .keep trying ,you will get it . Do it calm and relaxed, thats Important. FNF[F+2&4] that neutral is very Important and that your hitting F+2&4 together . Bab..babbab saying loud was my big Help in Timing for The FNFF+2&4 .at The Last "bab" you need to Hit F+2&4 together ,then its works but its Not easy . The neutral is very short but this Little Break ist very Important . Keep trying ,you can do this .Hope thats Help you a little

So I'm practicing doing it standing at point blank range using the f,n,f,f 2+4 command, but I keep getting the regular f 2+4 throw. What could I be doing wrong?
It means you aren't executing the iwr properly, to avoid getting the throw you can do 3+4 instead of 2+4 to do the iwr drop kick (you know you did it if you stay on the ground)

It's all about rhythm. You could try think of it as like, tapping forward 3 times, now add the neutral in there and keep that same rhythm. If you still need help, I can quickly record my hand doing it for you.

The neutral game is when both opponents are on their feet. It is about the knowledge of your own and your opponent's ranges, about movement and spacing, all in order to gain an advantage or set up a mixup situation that starts up a combo.

Not neutral game what the above comment says, though he's not wrong he's just defining the wrong thing. So think of it as two forwards then let go of the stick and forward+2+4. The window is really tight and you can't rush it like the vid says otherwise you'll just get a regular grab.
What up boss I been practicing king / learning stick since December in preparation for T7. I'm currently having trouble getting dash jabs down to isw. Appreciate any response liked and subbed.
Don't worry about dash jabbing, that is T5DR legacy stuff, but if you really want to try do it, then all you must do is ff very fast and don't do ff+1 but ff (neutral) 1.
Is this acutally possible on PS4 pad? I really tried but I could never pull it of properly. And I really hate the different timing after every move to do it... but I guess there is nothing I could do against that, right?

I would recommend using a RP+RK bind to ensure you don't mess up pressing the two singular buttons together. I don't use a console controller, but if I did I think I would set that bind to maybe the right trigger
Thank you! No because it won't reach as it's a stationary move while iSW is a running move (which is how it's possible to do), you would have to drop the second f,f+1 which means you're losing a lot of damage just for doing aerial GS (which also does not as much damage).

If you're playing on console there is a demo in the command list with a little jingle. That jingle really helps when you're learning the timing!

The complete Input is very fast but once you can Hit it ,you will See ,its Not that hard with Training and relaxed ✋ ✋

Practice makes perfect! It took me some time to get it down very well, but it always got better with practice.

If you get a jab, then you did the input too early, if you get the ff+1 but it misses, then it was too late

I've had a great experience with King, I'm a yellow rank, but this is too extreme for my fingers and my joypad..
Trust that once you get it down it'll get easier and easier till it's effortless. It was very hard for me in the beginning learning it too
The wave dash for king is the old hard way or it has been changed to the traditional wave dash ?
It will never be normalised, gotta get down f,d,df,f if you wanna wavedash :(

I don't think it's finger killer, but I'm left handed, so I have slight advantage with stick execution I guess as well
