- Director Wes Anderson is known for his stop-motion movies, like "Fantastic Mr. Fox". His newest film "Isle of Dogs" is out in theaters now - and it was no easy task to bring over 1,000 puppets to life. Puppets vastly ranged in sizes - some were the size of a fingernail while others could be climbed into - but above all else, they had to be individually manipulated to animate them for the big screen.

I love how they designed a story that's simple enough to be generally understood by younger kids, but interesting enough that older audiences can also have fun watching it.
I personally think that mature audiences would enjoy this movie more

Wes Anderson's style is so uniquely charming and funny, and brimming with detail on every level. Absolutely amazing film.

Brilliant. The film is brilliant, the animators are brilliant, and Anderson is brilliant. "Dogs" and "Fox" are examples of stop motion taken to its artistic peak.
The Color Palettes used in this movie are simply outstanding!

I’m excited for this movie
In retrospect it's rather funny that the two biggest stop-motion animated films of this year both presented the animators with challenges due to all the hair and fur used in them: Aardman's "Early Man" had cavemen wearing fur and having much more realistic hair than Aardman's human characters usually have along with mammoths and other pre-historic creatures, and Wes Anderson's "Isle of Dogs" had a LOT of dogs.
