I recommend the Pride of Lion's (Jim Peterik's, who co-wrote The Search Is Over, post Survivor band) songs: "Unfinished Heart", "Now", "Interrupted Melody", and "Everything That Money Can't Buy". Also, I recommend the Jimi Jamison solo songs: "Alive" and "Love You All Over the World" (both written/co-written by Peterik) and Jamison's Crossroads Moment album in general. Also, the Richard Marx song: "Always" co-written by the late Burt Bacharach.
Literally for me one of the most romantic power ballads of its era. Just loved Jimi Jamison's voice. Still so sad knowing he's no longer with us, ugh.😔
My first boyfriend had sat next to me all semester in geometry class, then finally worked up the nerve to ask me out (actually had his best friend as a go-between 😋) towards the end of the school year. He always dedicated this song to me whenever we had a dance at school. I don't think I've heard it since then. Wow, thanks for the memories!
Two more AMAZING power ballads from Loverboy - This Could be The Night - and Mike Reno does a duet with Ann Wilson from Heart - Almost Paradise (from Footloose). Both well worth a listen.
I so love this song..❤ Thanks for reacting... If i may suggest for the next "Survivor" song that you might react to, i recommend "High On You, Is This Love, American Heartbeat, Rebel Son, The Moment Of Truth, or Didn't Know It Was Love"..❤
Alright my babies.... I am so fortunate to have seen this band 4 times ‼️ Your reactions to this video is good .... From the climatics, to the piano ending awwe.💯🔥🎼🎶🎤🎹🎸🤘🏻😎👍🏼
There are a lot of these reaction channels. But I like these two the best! They are very genuine and sincere. I feel their passion. Keep up the good work.....God bless you and thank you.
I’m so glad you did this one! No one ever does and it’s absolutely one of my favorite love ballads from this era! I was in junior high and knew not a dang thing about love, but it got me in my feels anyway! 🥰
Another one you should really check out by Survivor that I haven’t seen mentioned is ‘Man Against the World.’ It was written for a Rocky movie (Rocky 4) as were Eye of the Tiger and Burning Heart, but it doesn’t get the recognition the other two get and I think it’s Jimi’s best vocal performance; it’s really good. It was ultimately not used in Rocky 4, but was released on Survivor’s next album.
Jim Peterik, the keyboardist and songwriter, said that when Jimi auditioned for Survivor, this was a song he auditioned with. He said Jimi listened to it once and sang it just like you hear it here
Great vid! Survivor has many, many great songs! My suggestions: Eye of the Tiger Burning Heart Ever since the world began High on you Is this love The moment of truth Man against the world Caught in the game Broken Promises Desperate dreams
Many years ago I was taking guitar lessons in an old house in suburban Chicago and when my lesson was done I would hang out in the basement and listen to Jim Peterick and his musical friends work on their songs and musical arrangements. I would always be able to recognize some little bit or other in the future songs of Survivor and 38 Special.
How Much Love from Survivor is underrated. Maybe because it does sound a little like High on You Part 2. The band knew what they were good at. And kept it going. Lol
The whole Vital Signs album could be on your next list. I’ll throw out a couple of B sides that are good as any of the singles, “It’s the Singer Not the Song” and “I See you in Everyone”.
6:06 LOL 😍🥰😁😆 I'm with you, I'm such a big sucker for these hopelessly romantic 80s power ballads. I had to stop what I was doing to watch this video -- I can't resist!
Survivor did make some classic ballads, as well as pumping anthems. RIP Jimi Jameson. Such a great voice gone too soon. And Jay likes a pop ballad so it must be a good one...lol. This song is well done. Power ballads by rock bands were huge in the 80's. This was an expectation from the people and the music industry because they were huge sales. Many felt contrived because bands felt an obligation to make them. Others, like Survivor, brought it.
Amber and J, Another stunning band from San Francisco, CA ... so many - it's crazy!! This band was super talented and have a TON of killer songs!! Can you two PLEASE do ... *American Heartbeat* 😉 @RobSquadReactions
God knows, I love and miss Jimi Jamison may he rest in peace, but let's not forget a shoutout to Jim Peterik on piano and Frankie Sullivan on guitar who wrote some of the most amazing songs I've ever heard including this one. Great reaction guys!
I actually knew Jimi Jamison from the band target that was a band in Memphis back in the day saw them play many a gig and I also saw open Black Sabbath and Joan Jett. then went on go sing with a group called cobra then onto Survivor but sadly he passed away rest in peace jimi you are missed.
Suggestions: Ed Bruce - It just makes me want you even more Nicolette Larson - Let me be the One Nicolette Larson - Lotta Love Arkey Blue - Too Many Pills & Daddy's Sick Again Roy Orbison - Pretty Woman & Crying
To be honest, I usually skipped over this song on the album. It's a good song...but the songs that followed it were more to my liking. I highly recommend listening to "Broken Promises" and "Popular Girl." God bless!!
This one gets me every time. Even in an interview, Jim Peterik said that there wasn't a dry eye in the house when this one was being recorded. Jimi put so much emotion into it, especially that last line. He is so missed in the music world. Thanks for reacting to this one. Takes me back to childhood.
I saw an interview with Jim Peiterik where he says that, and he said that's the kind of emotion that Jimi's voice produces! Survivor guitarist Sullivan said that Jimi came to the band to save them, because they had a contract and a new album that they had to release and without a new vocalist that would not have been possible, they tried many singers, but Jimi Jimi spelled them with his voice! and not only them, to us too,❤
Jay & Amber, you’ll love their "High on You"!!! Todays song - Jimi Jamison - lead vocals, written by Peterik and Sullivan.
Great band great singer gone too soon. Survivor were one of the 80's best!🙏
Oh thats me like much quite!!!
🥰🥰🥰
Love “High On You”
Maybe they'll love it. Maybe they won't. Let's give them the chance to react first.
Rest in Peace Survivor lead singer Jimi Jamison, You left us way too soon.
God bless him
God....WHY can't we have songs like this anymore?
Thank God we at least have these videos to enjoy and reminisce!
I recommend the Pride of Lion's (Jim Peterik's, who co-wrote The Search Is Over, post Survivor band) songs: "Unfinished Heart", "Now", "Interrupted Melody", and "Everything That Money Can't Buy". The best music was already written. It's been on the decline 20 plus years.
Amen
Love the songs from this group. Takes me back to my teen years.

Great tune! I would also check out High on You by Survivor and Don’t Cry by Asia
Anything by Asia would be great!
Love Don't Cry😊
Two more AMAZING power ballads from Loverboy - This Could be The Night - and Mike Reno does a duet with Ann Wilson from Heart - Almost Paradise (from Footloose). Both well worth a listen.
I have suggested these songs too!
I so love this song..❤ Thanks for reacting... If i may suggest for the next "Survivor" song that you might react to, i recommend "High On You, Is This Love, American Heartbeat, Rebel Son, The Moment Of Truth, or Didn't Know It Was Love"..❤
One of my favorite groups from the 80'S
Not One bad song from this Group period!!!! Eye of the Tiger and High on you next
Different singers though....Dave Bickler and Jimi Jamison
Next Asia song: either "Don't Cry" or "The Smile Has Left Your Eyes"
Love it how two youngsters hold such high regard for music that can last for an eternity.
Keep up the good work.....God bless you and thank you.
this song my wife played for me at our wedding in 1989 and the song I played for her was Taylor Dayne's I Will Always Love You.
I’m so glad you did this one! No one ever does and it’s absolutely one of my favorite love ballads from this era! I was in junior high and knew not a dang thing about love, but it got me in my feels anyway! 🥰
Teenage me wore this cassette out.
Omg ... i haven't listened to this in eons! Brought back great memories of wearing out this cassette!

Love love love this song.
Love this song, one of my favorite bands. Love you guys. Keep the videos coming.
I’ve loved this song for a few decades now. It’s one of my favorites of theirs.
What a song! What a voice 🎤💕🎶 what a beautiful Jimi! you make a good job guys!
this is still one of my favorite love songs ever, takes me back to high school dances, the 80's really did release some of the best of these songs
Love this group. Bought their Album with Eye of the Tiger from Rocky 3, when it came out, and would listen to the entire album on road trips.
Jim Peterik, the keyboardist and songwriter, said that when Jimi auditioned for Survivor, this was a song he auditioned with. He said Jimi listened to it once and sang it just like you hear it here
Please, more Survivor! It's my favorite band! They are criminally underrated.
Some suggestions:
Caught In The Game
Poor Man's Son
American Heartbeat
Great vid! Survivor has many, many great songs! My suggestions:
Eye of the Tiger
Burning Heart
Ever since the world began
High on you
Is this love
The moment of truth
Man against the world
Caught in the game
Broken Promises
Desperate dreams
All of them are fantastic!
Many years ago I was taking guitar lessons in an old house in suburban Chicago and when my lesson was done I would hang out in the basement and listen to Jim Peterick and his musical friends work on their songs and musical arrangements. Loved Survivor. “Eye of the Tiger” was my introduction. This song made me smile.
Great Tune…Jimi Jamison is a great singer…Great Band
Love this song... Survivor did it right...powerful guitars and percussion plus the voice🤘
so glad someone finally reacted to this song and the video!! What memories!
How Much Love from Survivor is underrated. Maybe because it does sound a little like High on You Part 2. The band knew what they were good at. And kept it going. Lol
I loved this song when it came out. Such a pretty song!

Totally agree. I think that on that album "Broken promises" is a masterpiece.
This is a great song from a great band..
I remember this song fondly as it was the soundtrack for my 7th grade crush.
Caught in the game, is a real rocker from these guys.
Absolutely "High on You" next. "Is This Love" is another favorite of mine and then also the incredibly underrated "Poor Man's Son".
6:06 LOL 😍🥰😁😆 I'm with you, I'm such a big sucker for these hopelessly romantic 80s power ballads. I had to stop what I was doing to watch this video -- I can't resist!
Such an 80's prom song...
He also sang the theme for Bay Watch.
I saw them live. They were awesome. One of my favourite songs. The singer on their song Eye of the Tiger is a different guy.
Jimi Jamison had such a beautiful voice❤
I have not heard this song in forever thanks guy's 🥰
Survivor. First Night
Survivor did make some classic ballads, as well as pumping anthems. RIP Jimi Jameson. Such a great voice gone too soon. And Jay likes a pop ballad so it must be a good one...lol. This whole album is full of power ballads. :-)

Can you two PLEASE do ...
*American Heartbeat* 😉
@RobSquadReactions
Best power ballad of the 80’s if not all time.
I remember when this video first came out and my young brain had a really hard time comprehending this was a different singer from "Eye of the Tiger!"
I love how Amber grooves with it. :)
God knows, I love and miss Jimi Jamison may he rest in peace, but let's not forget a shoutout to Jim Peterik on piano and Frankie Sullivan on guitar who wrote some of the most amazing songs I've ever heard including this one. Great reaction guys!
Love this song.

You have GOT to hear First Night!
Eye of the Tiger Is Survivors big hit from the 80s and it's from Rocky 3
"Man Against The World" should be your next Survivor reaction. So good.
Jay & Amber my all time fave above all their rest is titled: DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS LOVE!
Cool shirt Jay!! Reminds me of those 80's and 90's shirts they used to sell for the NBA champions!
Love 80’s music.
Another suggestion:
John Cafferty and the Beaver Brown Band - On The Dark Side
Sadly, the lead singer did not live up to the name of the band. He passed away some years ago. Great talent. RIP Jimi Jamison 😢
Gotta do Desert Moon by Dennis DeYoung, but only if you watch the very awesome 80’s video along with the reaction.
Masterpiece
For my money this is a fantastic love song/power ballad. Hard to find a better one, although I am sure there are a few.
So happy with this choice. Love Jimi Jamison ❤
Great selection/reaction guys!
Survivor - Is This Love. It is a top 10 hit. I would tell you to play Burning Heart but it’s from Rocky 4. You might’ve already heard that one.
Suggestions:
Ed Bruce - It just makes me want you even more
Nicolette Larson - Let me be the One
Nicolette Larson - Lotta Love
Arkey Blue - Too Many Pills
& Daddy's Sick Again
Roy Orbison - Pretty Woman
& Crying
One of my favorite survivor songs! Suggestions for Next up High on you, it’s the singer not the song, didn’t know it was love.
Please watch more songs from him…he did a concert in japan years ago which was excellent.
Asia 'Sole Survivor' is very good or 'Wildest Dreams' is very good-(powerful meaning behind this one)
Ah yes...the soundtrack of my teen years!!
Listen to . Wait a million years! BY THE GRASS ROOTS
High on you and I can’t hold back are musts.
Krokus Screaming in the Night
Well, everyone knows Eye of the Tiger from Rocky. So maybe High on You or Is This Love.
Johnny and Edgar winter Tabacco road live
steve perry, mickey thomas and jimi jamison. the trifecta for me
Always known for the rocky theme music but they had some good songs other than that
Similar song is Honestly by Stryper! A wholesome Christian group!
I can't hold back high on. You
To be honest, I usually skipped over this song on the album. It's a good song...but the songs that followed it were more to my liking. I highly recommend listening to "Broken Promises" and "Popular Girl."
God bless!!
We need some more BTO!
I'm not sure which songs you've done from them so in case you didn't know they did the eye of the tiger song from Rockey
You should reaction to Harlequin "innocence" another great 80s band
Survivor "I can't hold back" is a banger too.
They did it already
Agree
Awesome!
Survivor is so overlooked.
Now do "High On You"
🤩
They are very underrated
RIP Jimi, one of the best singers of the 80s
I didn't know Jimi Jamison passed away. That was 9 years ago. Also found out about Eddie Rabbit's death on this channel too.
May both RIP 🙏
Truly one of the greatest voices of all time. RIP Jimi Jameson
The beautiful voice of Jimi Jamison ❤ best power ballad of the eighties
"High on You" and "Is This Love" are hits you haven't done yet. I love Jimi Jamison's voice!! "The Search Is Over" is my fave from Survivor though.
Jimi Jamison had such an amazing voice! High on You by Survivor, that's the one you have to hear next!
Beautiful song! One of the best male vocals from the 80's. Glad you both liked this one!
Jimi Jamison has one of the best voices of the 80's.
One of my favorites Played it at my wedding reception 15 yrs ago
Definitely also recommend "I Can't Hold Back" and "Is This Love" by Survivor! Super energetic and catchy
This one gets me every time. Even in an interview, Jim Peterik said that there wasn't a dry eye in the house when this one was being recorded.
