      @@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA ya gotta love it when the broadhead "engineers" don't think something through.
      If you're going to make a broadhead that has blades that SHOULD be able to be replaced and make it so they can't its not worth making in the 1st place.
      NAP did the same thing with their Slingblade head.
      Then, when 10 Point slapped THEIR name on it and called it the Evo X......low and behold the blades can be replaced.
      Funny how that works out

      I mean my honest opinion is if you’re looking for durability fixed heads is the ticket

      @@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA to be fair, I've shot Swhacker for a long time and have reused the same head to take multiple animals. Sometimes I had to replace 1 or both blades or just resharpen the ones that came with it.
      I've only ever had 1 that I couldn't reuse and that's because it was a pass through and had a direct impact with a large rock.
      I also did the same thing with a Wasp Boss 3 blade.
      Into a large rock after pass a through and bent the ferrule at the tip.

    It looks very close to the Swhacker. I may be wrong, but I think by design they are supposed to be a delayed open. The theory is that it will penetrate past bone before full deployment to keep the blades razor sharp and avoid damage on entry.

    • @BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA

    Bent the blades! Yes. 80 pound bow in gel at 280+. They act like single bevel? Single bevel screw into the quarry. Being 2” long and at such force from 80 pounder in thick gel, not like very warm animal cavities, I’d think that’s what would happen.

    • @BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA
      @BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It actually doesn’t happen was the first time it occurred
      The gel isn’t hard it’s dense, the blades cut through it just fine

  • @KTMsoldier1988
    @KTMsoldier1988 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Similar design to shwacker....they open up after coming into contact with the first set of ribs so you have Virgin blades cutting the vitals in the words of Levi Morgan.

    • @BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA
      @BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Interesting well it doesn’t look good in the gel but in a whitetail I think it’s be lethal

    • @KTMsoldier1988
      @KTMsoldier1988 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@BlueCollarOutdoorsUSA im sure they kill....if you think about it the tip of that head is already 2" into the animal before the deploying blades even hit the hyde....the idea is too not dull the blades at all lets say on hyde ribs or shoulder before you reach the vitals. Seems to be the thought process. I prefer nice entry and exit holes personally.

  • @jdibben29
    @jdibben29 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Its not just your test. I shot two deer w them when they first came out. One stuck in a front shoulder so I just chalked up that one too front shoulder blade stopping it. Second one was clean ribs mid ship. It went only about 12" and stopped just under the hide off side. Off from a bow tech boss at 29.5" draw and 72 lb w a 300 spine gt hunter at 25 yards it should have blown clean through her. A normal slick trick or a swhacker would have blown through without ANY issues

    On the package, it says there are 3 gooves for various speeds. Instead of 2 orings, one at the top groove is how they should be shot, then it would have opened sooner. Probably should read the package before reviewing a broadhead, lol!
