    Using your link, I bought this app. This is the best backup App I've seen in 20+ years of computing. NICE!!!! THANK YOU!

    Very nice walkthrough. I ended up setting up the trial and the software is amazingly easy and simple to use. I've got an external HD backing up the files on it to my networked Synology. Very cool thanks for the video!

    You’re a life saver! For years, I was using the drag and drop method and always had issues with large files.
    Not only does ChronoSync work really well, it even copied the problem files that would normally grind everything to a halt... now, to look through the rest of your videos. Thanks again!

    Great video but need clarification on one thing - bidirectional backup. If my main working file is on the left side, shouldn't my backup be left to right? I definitely don't want anything changing on the left main working file since it contains my Lightroom Photos and Lightroom catalog backups. If anything changes on the left side outside of Lightroom, question marks will pop up because Lightroom won't be able to link pictures to the catalog.

    If you use Bidirectional, and one file on the second drive gets corrupted don't you think the main disk will get the corrupted file aswell? Isn't it better to use left to right just in case? Also I think it's better to avoid using both disks all the time and reducing the chances of both dying at the same time.

      @@Howfinity Thanks for your reply, I am using chronosync and it is unamazing app indeed and it is working like a charm when I sync folders when I sync Drives after some time I experience an issue like "large trial sync warning" and it takes hours for sync (sometimes more than 7 hours). If you have any advice it is very welcome.

    • @Howfinity
      @Howfinity  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Eli Melet Hi Eli. You know I’m not 100% on that. I’ve only had the regular version. Their support contact would probably be more knowledgeable on express

    • @elim4227
      @elim4227 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I actually just found the answer to that on there Q&A section on their website. I do have one more question. If I wanted to keep one drive plugged in nearly all the time (the main drive), and a backup one stored somewhere else, what are the options to do automated backups? I would plug in the backup drive maybe every week or so. Is there an option so the software would automatically begin backing up when it sees the backup drive is connected? Also, do you know if it is bad to keep portable hard drives plugged in nearly all the time? Or should I disconnect them when they are not in use? Thanks for your help!

      @@elim4227 I have the same question, can I just buy the express version and sync between two external drives or not?

      @@IBMIKEYMIKE I had a video made but deleted it. Using time machine click options and exclude main drive and add only the external hard drive you wish to use. Then when you attach both external hard drives they will sync.

    Question. I have new mac mini with 512ssd and 2 external 10gb hdd. The back up will stay off my internal ssd? I don’t want to clog that one up. Not sure how that will work.
