- 3 WIRE battery system. This is now tried and tested. It's the best. Absolutely no doubt in my mind. Now the expansion batteries are here, we can make this system as large as we like.

We need one for the u.s.a. ASAP!!
You do 👍🏻
Well explained mate, one way to stop all the dodgy electric builds 👍
@@Jakesoverlandadventures ye man. They are out there
Just fitted the same LPS2 last weekend at the back of my transporter, glad you mentioned about the supercharger cable kit. I fell into the expensive trap of buying this, then hardly used any in the kit due to updating the cable thickness. Great bit of kit though overall.
Awesome isn’t it 👍🏻
Nice one bro gg 👍 ❤
@@psvyme48ph45 👍🏻👍🏻
@@urbanarkoverland your welcome 🙏
Lovely piece of kit, and well explained. Great to see you back posting.
Cheers matey
Super simples bud 👍🏻 well explained. I think the Clayton is a solid set up having used it in the parts hauler for some time now. I will definitely be adding one of the expansion units down the line. Glad to see your going to be running a Cfx 3 in something 😊 another one of my favs 🙌🏻
I KNEW you would have spotted that. I KNEW it.
@@urbanarkoverland haha got my eye on the new cfx2 proper gangsta!
Got one in our van, really good. Rarely see it go below 60% over night, even with lots of lights and 2 fridges and a heater.
We've gone completely gasless, with an induction hob. I'm actually considering now getting a powerbank ( Not clayton ) for our teardrop trailer and getting another induction hob for the trailer too :D
Great bit of kit aren’t they. Awesome
Awesome instructions thanks for the ongoing videos 👍 very helpful
You are very welcome. 🤗
Any sign you can add a digital display, instead of the remote, cheers bud !!
@@garydures2832 yes there is. But no dates yet 😎
Very expensive
Worth every penny.
Brilliant video as per usual. 👍👍
Thank you sir
Interested to see how the expansion packs work. I thought it would have to be something you buy at the same time as the main unit due to the cells. But maybe heard that wrong.
I was really tempted to go this route but it actually worked out a little cheaper overall to go Victron with a smaller inverter but bigger capacity.
But cost me A LOT more personal labour tax than the Clayton 😂
Ha. Ye. The time is a massive factor.
Regarding age of cells. It’s irrelevant. As you literally charge the expansion battery. That then charges the main unit. 👍🏻
@@urbanarkoverland Ahhhhh! That actually makes sense. 👌
Great video and explanation :)
Cheers you
Just Installed mine in the same place next is the super charger
Next stop expansion for me ha
Please be patronising, because when it comes to electrics it goes in one ear and out of the other for me……….now back to the video.
Not sure if this is sarcasm as messages can be misconstrued.
If it isn’t and you need help. Feel feee to email.
If it is. Feel free to move on ha ha
@@urbanarkoverland no I wasn’t being sarcastic lol. You know when you’re interested in something you learn, and when you’re not so much but it’s something you may have to do, it’s one of them for me with electrics. It allll goes over my head 👍
Great video thanks, does the unit take different power sources simultaneously and automatically i.e driving and taking solar at the same time (not that it sounds like you need it !) ?
It sure does mate.
@@urbanarkoverland but it does not harm your t6 battery, if you have both solar and battery on the same connector clamp??
@@nelydk I don’t understand the question.
Great unit how about installing in a caravan?
@@richardmaher2600 yep. Fine 👍🏻
Great video 👍 have my Clayton fitted but doesn't charge from engine 😢
@@kenjconnor3049 because not wired?
It is wired. Would the grounding not be good enough. Thanks for replying
@@kenjconnor3049 email me. Should be in the description
Nicely explained Aiden.
Got one in my sprinter and gone gasless and copes no problem with induction hob and air fryer...absolutely love it!
It’s genuinely cracking ain’t it.
@@urbanarkoverland We did 4 days at a festival and with the solar it never went below 50%.
@@petehall9827 yep. Same story my end.
Are alternators doing 600W these days? That's a lot.
I've got 400W flex. Work like a treat.
It’s just that much. You can get 3kw b2b’s now. 3600watts. Yes you do need upgraded alternator for that.
Rule of thumb. 35% of your vehicles alternator. Most are about 200 amp 👍🏻
If thr unit Is discharged and you turn your ignition on without starting your van it's going to flatten your starter battery it would seem. I'm open to correction if the b2b has a provision for that.
I would have to ask the question in fact. On paper…potentially. But I do know that there parameters that will prevent the charge. I will ask though.
Look out for next vid. Expansion batteries have a software update which can do lots of extra things.
Really helpful- thanks 👍
No probs bud
Great vid as always. Do you know what the max run is in 16mm without the super charger?
Would be that 5m 👍🏻
Just about to start my own van build and this will work perfectly for me.
@@toyboxracing5242 well… drop me an email 👍🏻
Will do, what’s your mail?
Don’t worry just found it 😊
@@toyboxracing5242 should be in the description 👍🏻
£3900.00 🤔 Na!.
See previous comparison video
Great video my man!
Cheers you
Hi, What is essentially the differences between the 2000 and 1500 LPS?
Same battery capacity but…
1500 has no solar. And cannot use super charger. Has slightly slower rates of charging from mains.
2000 and upwards have solar input. Faster charging rate. Can use a supercharger and a higher output on the inverter. 👍🏻
@@urbanarkoverland like you said not much point having a 80 Watt solar panel for it anyway!
@@andykonkol no but when it charges so fast every time you run the engine.
And….. the uk ha
Dose it fit under the double seat bench?
Ye I’m sure it would
Great video buddy
Nice one
Thanks Aidan 👍
No probs 😎
