I recently saw Brit Floyd in Jacksonville Florida and they are outstanding, absolutely perfect. The tone, notes and delivery plus a very cool light show. Think I will go see them again in Augusta Georgia!
Brit Floyd sounds like they are trying to sound like the record too much. Too sterile. I'd rather see an artist like Roger that offers up different interpretations from time to time.
video doesn’t do it justice at all. besides, if you want the better musician you go see gilmour. Roger waters shows are about the multimedia experience. And his musicians are pretty damn good
To all the critics I bought the Us + Them blu ray and it was awesome , check it out if you get a chance. So this might be better than it shows here. Anyway the set list was better to me on the blu ray.
Gilmour 2016 Toronto and Chicago. $450 a ticket. It was unbelievable and worth every dime. Checked on tickets for Nashville $30. Thanks for the video you just saved me $30!
Its opening night though so their working it all out still - despite whatever rehearsals they had. waters on Colbert was playing a strat but just root notes. This whole thing looks kinda lame. Perhaps pass on this one
My opinion Huge Floyd/Roger fan this was his worst yet..no bells or whistles just a screen and some surrogate band members.If you seen him before I would pass on this one.
Roger waters is a musical genius... his achievements are beyond question....i saw him do the wall at L.A. coliseum years ago and it was fantastic!...saying that...I too saw British pink floyd at Greek theater recently....and their band puts this performance to shame as do David Gilmore and his band...just IMHO

I saw Roger about 5 times, and David 1. When they do their solo songs is very very good, but for their versions of the Floyd… they leave a bitter taste, sad and embarrassing, to see these multimillionaire magicians who created the best band in history, trying to prove that they can do it without "the real band" it’s nearly a laugh but it’s really a cry...
@@LoneLee2022 WOW! Now that's a show that I wish I could have seen. I love that album so much. Sadly that was the tour that ruined his voice. Ironically he had backing tracks for just a few lines from some songs as they would be just too much to sing live repeatedly (Running Shoes, parts of Go Fishing and the climax of Every Stranger's Eyes.) I totally understand. However he really screamed and shouted a lot in many other songs and by the 2nd leg of the tour you could already hear that his voice was suffering. By the time it was over he'd damaged it permanently 🙁 I wish he'd filmed or videotaped it. I've watched a few bootleg videos and WOW! 👍
I don't know guys but this does not seem to interest me a bit. SFO in Sept...will look again in a month or two, but the prices they want to see this show might be a skip for me personally.
If the fact that he's lip syncing a lot of stuff that isn't tuned down a full step doesn't tip the scales then I don't know what will. I gave up after The Wall tour. Over $400 for 2 seats (best in the house though - right in front of the mixing console) but he lip-synced: In the Flesh? The Happiest Days of Our Lives (But in the town it was well known....) Empty Spaces One of My Turns (Run to the bedroom....) Don't Leave Me Now Another Brick in The Wall Part 3 Hey You In the Flesh Run Like Hell Stop The Trial No thank you. I'm out.

the video does NOT do this any justice. It way was louder in person and sounded amazing with the crazy audio setup they had. That being said, this was one of the lamer songs they did.
Gilmour composed all their best music to their best work which started with guitar compositions waters added the lyrics but without Gilmour compositions you don't have wish you were here, comfortably numb, dark side and many many others.

This 360 degree stage does not work. It is no fun going to a concert and looking at the back of their heads except an occasional presence......Seems to me money grubbing to try to sell all seatss. When I go to a concert I want a comprehensive experience of the WHOLE band, not having the singer come around once in a while and the drummer actually facing me for part of the concert. WHAT A JOKE! Moreover, what a jip! The music WAS GREAT, but as far as a concert experience, forget about it. You have video at home. Just not as big. Wow.......

@2v_5r No, I think the pig in the blue suit and red tie during Money did that. I saw Roger's last 3 tours and this one is just stationary video screens. The last tour had video screens that moved, expanded and contracted and caused a 3D effect.
Well they don't use lip syncs to start with so there is that. Depend Roger's band plays the same show notes for notes night after night, which can easily puts everyone on automatic pilot while Aussie or Brit floyd can improvise around the songs a bit...

I seen original Floyd 4 times including In the Flesh (Animals Tour) and Rogers solo 5 times this was the worst concert I've ever seen it was actually boring no bells or whistles just a big screen and a dead band if he thinks he's gonna change the world with his political view I got a bridge to sell ya, To me it was a night out but disappointing all around trust me he did better before this one. Save your money

Saw Gilmour a few years ago at the Hollywood bowl. It's staggering how much better Gilmour was then this.
Roger use lip sync et and another guy cover his bass parts so he can't do much...

Waters' solo show of THE WALL in 2013 was the solo show to see. It was amazing.
