I'm a big believer that building a project in one week or 2, is one of the best ways to build something and enjoy it, friends and family working and creating something cool. been waiting for this video! Good stuff kev!
I'm one of Al's neighbors and literally got to see the before and after in person.... It looks incredible! You guys did an awesome job! That new color 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Families coming together like yours did for this project is a thing of the past these days... Props to all you guys for doing something special for someone that was/is important to you! I absolutely love this!
I am working on my 54 F100 now. Almost a mirror of your job. New bed, patch panels and interior. NO WAY I can duplicate your paint. But fun watching!!!
You took me back to when I was a kid, Dad had a 62 Corvair and It had a distinctive smell. Plus, as a kid I remember us pulling up to a Texaco station for a tank of "Fire Chief" High test, I would stick my face out the window and smell that wonderful gasoline smell, great times. God Bless You Dad, R.I.P.
What a great family project. Love the color! Reminds me of the color I painted my 65 GTO in the late 70s. (well, I didn't paint it - had it done). All I remember was that it was a Cadillac color. Looked almost black until light or the sun hit it and the blue just popped! No pearl but a bit of metal flake in it. If I remember right, that paint job cost me about $500 including some body work. Those were the days .... lol And don't worry ... we'll watch whatever you grace us with!
@@pecktox I have 4 brothers. We are a year or less apart. We check our feelings in at the door and let the ball busting begin. Gotta love a tight family.

It was great working with the “AMD” parts. What a great way to refresh an old pick up! I loved this whole build including the long days and lots of family fun!
So good, thanks Kevin for your humour and this project - it delivered!! Maybe down the road you can get someone else's family members in your shop for another 2 parter - the fun is watching the family dynamics
Great truck and awesome crew. Going blue calls to mind Grampa's old F100 long box step side. He passed when I was eight and Dad sold it within a few months. Might have been a Ford guy if it had stayed around.
That's a talented/dedicated group! Working with your family had to be awesome, you could feel that through the screen. That color is incredible! Looking forward to part two, and sorry about the cowl vent. Thank you for taking us along ~ Chuck
Thanks for this video series. I’m a ford fan and it’s nice to see the classics being kept alive. It’s even better when it’s a family affair. I dislike blue due to having so many blue vehicles in my life, but the blue you are using with the metallic and pearl looks so good! Can’t wait for the second video!
Hi from Vancouver BC 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦. Kevin I connected with you here before, so of course I am loving this build...crazy Canucks wrenching and working on a family heirloom very cool. Never sell that truck so many memories for you and the family. Cant wait to see more...
Family projects can build great memories. If you go see your family over the Christmas holiday you will have something to talk about and ammo to tease each other.
Man I tell you what the edge of that Cliff you left us hanging on it's pretty high. And I'm afraid of heights. Can't wait till part 2. Looking good guys
I didn't know you are Canadian. That certainly explains a lot of things LOL... Just kidding 😄 The 56 is my favorite, especially with the big back window, but there's nothing wrong with a small window. Great choice of color. I love that blue... That really sucks finding that rust on the cowl. Fresh air suits are awesome once you get used to dragging around an extra hose. Back in 1990 I was fortunate enough to get the chance to go to work painting multi-million dollar custom motorhomes, and that was the first time I used a fresh air suit. It was a little goofy at first, but it didn't take long to really start liking it. There were four people spraying at the same time, so there was a lot of material in the air. Fortunately the booth ventilation system was on steroids, but the suit still made it really nice. It's amazing how much work can get done with seven guys that know what they are doing, and that work well together. This video should be a good example for people that complain about paint jobs costing so much because it should give people a good idea how many hours it would take one person that has to do everything by themselves. It's a lot, if you want it done right. I'm looking forward to seeing it finished 👍
Hey Kevin, Great show that I just happened to come across on youtube and was supprised to hear an old familiar name. Growing up in Abbotsford BC as a teenager used to buy car parts for my 38 chevy from Herb at his wrecking yard. Remember him as a tall lanky guy in his overalls and always friendly. I’m sure he would be proud to see you guys all together pullin wrenches. Cheers from Tony in Abbotsford
Awesome content man. I'm loving it. I had to be amazing for everyone to get together for this. Sure it's a ton of work but doing with family like that makes memorys.👍

So anyways you guys are doing an awesome job on it and can't wait to see it when it's completed. The paint you sprayed looks incredible. Looking forward to part 2😊
Beauty eh! A lot of work done there! I can drop my Camaro off there and you guys can finish months of work for me in a couple of days, and the results would be perfection!
