I just wanted to compliment the entire GenRight crew for being such class acts on the trail. I was with Christian’s group (the GadZuks), and you guys were quick to help and even checked in on us on the second day at Buck Island, it was fun to leap frog each other along the trail and just see you all in this environment, being good stewards of the trail and excellent representatives of your brand and trail etiquette. Congrats on getting through Little Sluice in the YJ, that’s some impressive driving. Good on you.
Tony, Love that the owner of a huge company that makes and sales 4x4 upgrade parts takes a budget YJ and puts minimal parts on it to show everyone that you don’t have to be rich to enjoy the trails thumbs up Tony!!!

As someone who knows the trail and can instantly spot where somebody’s at, I completely agree. It was a bit of an issue for me, but if you can get past that one detail the trip and the idea of a budget Jeep was amazing.
Sometimes is fun to down grade a few notches and enjoy the challenge. This looks like jeeping at its finest! Great job, Tony and Genright.
So the CJ getting the front end fixed belongs to a Member of Gad-Zuks! SoCal based club. Broke a U bold that holds the front axel in place. Thanks to everyone that had spare parts and pieces to get it back on the trail. The Help of Welding and couple little tricks by the GenRight team that CJ ran perfect the rest of the weekend and made off the trail with repairs still intact. But our appearance didn't stop at that point, Glad we could crate a moment for you to talk about winching broken rigs off the trail. Old Cherokee Chef decided it was done at the bottom of Cadillac Hill. Few days later folks went back in with parts and got the fuel system fixed and it finished the trail.
Thanks again to Tony and the Team for the help. It was great seeing the YJ that you brought out work great all weekend as we manged to pass each other all weekend.

I would do a leaf spring flop and use the stock Wrangler leaf springs they work awesome and leaf spring flop you get about 5.5 inches

No, Gladiators stuck to the main trail. Even then they barber pole'd the rear driveshaft!

Always cool to see Rubicon footage. But not much explanation of the YJ build to make it budget? Looked like maybe a D44 in the rear? Obvious lift springs. What else? All that stuff adds up and maybe not so budget to some?
Budget? Many budgets don’t get kings and some of the other goodies
Nice! Look up "old top gear jeepers jamboree" sometime. Also there's a MotorWeek video on the 1996 Jamboree that'll be of some interest. Stock YJs driven by soccer moms making it through the Rubicon Trail. A few upgrades certainly won't hurt. I'm just sayin', the YJ has done it stock many, many times.

Tony was the part number for the bds 3inch springs. They (bds)want to sell me a 6 inch lift to clear 35s. Thank you Tony

Yes it will! The frame kit will and we have a separate interior kit specifically for the YJ.

I'd take the yj all day. My favorite Jeep. I love the small form factor. I have a rio grande. Great rig. Everything you need and nothing you dont.
We know the tire is a 35x12.5R15 but who makes those wheels? Are they 15x10? What is the back spacing? Awesome wheel and tire combo. 👍
I think they were running Raceline Wheels. I know the LJ, JK, and JL were on Racelines. Not sure about the YJ
