Bought this loom for mine too recently so great timing. Good call on the tape instead of the plastic covering. Looks a LOT better!

Like the video. Any earth for the headlamp loom can use the bolt that bolts the headlamp to the front panel. This gives a good earth without drilling the chassis or removing paint
Good idea on this video the earth gets extended and joined onto the RH side then connected to battery earth
I found over time that damp would get into those exposed relays. This causes corroded connections and failure. You can buy outdoor wiring junction boxes which are quite small and keep the relay/fuse holder weather proof
Thanks for the advice. Luckily the car is garaged and only comes out in dry so should be ok for now but if it gets bad I'll address it
Can you use the same type of loom for the dual chamber mk3 headlights(since they use H1 bulbs and this loom is made for H4s)? And if so, how would you do it?
Sadly it's h4 only unless you use a bulb adaptor maybe

No problem, maybe use an led bulb instead as they're much brighter
@@Project7YT Wouldn't that make a bad beam pattern since the housing is made for halogen lamps? I think I also saw a video of Headlight Revoluion on youtube and they had a few recommendations for led bulbs which emmited light similarly to halogen bulbs, so I might have a look at that.
@@nigelxheri mine were fine, but research would be good
