You're wiping out the whole concept of critique, or criticism in its general sense. The idea is to analyze a work: sculpture, painting, cinema, literature. Just because a person can't sing a note, shouldn't mean he can't review some awful singer.

TINA S's teacher Renaud Louis-Servais comment 16/3/2022 : "thank you for having reacted to this video of my little protected Tina. I had the chance to teach her electric guitar from 13 to 18 years old, and also filmed and produced all these videos at that time in my studio. I must say that she never disappointed me, what a prodigy she was...
A small precision concerning this version, it is an arrangement made by the incredible Italian guitarist, Michele "DrViossy" Vioni, who was kind enough to let us use his version. in any case, thank you for your various reaction."
"I made her work on a lot of pieces, but only a part was the subject of videos. On the other hand, everything that has been filmed is online."

Anybody that needs to mention gender in the music context is showing how little they know about music and who is hot playing it these days. I would note her age though because at age 16 or 17 I personally do not expect to hear this level of mastery. I want to say "WTF???" but she was started at a very young age, had a great teacher, and her parents must have been very supportive, so it was a perfect storm of goodness named Tina. She's in college now. I am one of a million people hopeful she will play out again.

    Interview with Tina S.
Q: Hi Tina, what was your first guitar?
Tina : My first guitar was a classical guitar with which I started the academy of classical music at the age of 6 years. It was an Alvaro.
Q : What are your influences?
Tina : I do not really have any influence. There are of course groups and guitarists that I like such as Van Halen or Slash.
Q : What is your training?
Tina: I started with a standard curriculum by enrolling at the age of 6 years at the conservatory of classical music. At the age of 13, I decided to turn to a more rock'n'roll world starting to play on the electric guitar.
Q : What has so far been the most memorable of your early career stages?
Tina: It is a mistake to talk about career for me. I had a classical education, then through this training I could easily start on electric guitar, but I have not yet had the opportunity to live with particular highlights . Of course, the making of a buzz on the Internet with the Van Halen solo and the follow-up of the buzz with my second video is very impressive. But for me, I have not yet started my career as a guitarist.
Q : How is the teaching with Renaud Louis -Servais ?
Tina: He is a very nice teacher, very professional but he happens to combine work and fun. He is very rigorous, asking me to give the best of myself, and this is beneficial because it is thanks to him that I began working on pieces of a more adequate level for my age. It is a real pleasure and a chance to have him as a teacher.
Q : Given your present level is your work more focused on the musicality and vocabulary rather than pure technique?
Tina: I would say that my work is divided into several phases. Until now, we worked particularly on the technique to improve my playing. At the moment, we work a lot on musicality to remember that one must first understand what we play to feel something.
Q : Any news from Wolfgang Van Halen , who said in a tweet that he wanted to meet with you ?
Tina: Not for the moment .
Q : After Eruption and your version of the interpretation of Vivaldi à la Patrick Rondat, any other pieces you are working on ?
Tina: I prefer not to talk about upcoming songs just for me not to avoid unnecessary pressure. I prefer to keep the surprise until the last moment.
Q : How does one manage to become a TH-cam star with millions of views?
Tina: The environment is very important. It is necessary to have a solid foundation and the base is represented by family and friends. Do not take the big head, remain down to earth, and especially try not to get unnecessary pressure, continue to have fun and not think about getting millions of views, but just to play for my own pleasure.
Q : Do you feel invested with a special mission because you 're a girl and you are in a very male dominated environment?
Tina: Not particularly. It is true that it's good to succeed in a world where the dominant by men. It is important to show that a girl can play as well as a man.
Q : What is your favorite guitar?
Tina: My favorite guitar is the Vigier which you can see on my videos.
Q : How is the collaboration with Vigier?
Tina: There are no special collaboration. However, I was invited by Patrice Vigier to visit his factory. It was a great honor to meet him but there is currently no collaboration with Vigier as with any other brand of guitar.
Q : Do you have any plans to play in a group?
Tina : At the moment no. I focus on a my personal work in order to have the fullest possible. Of course, I do not put aside the possibility of being part of a group in the future, but this is not the case at the moment.
Q : What are your next projects?
Tina: As I said earlier, I do not like to talk about things to come. This puts particular pressure me, and I prefer to keep them for me to play without expectations.
Thank you for your answers and good luck for the future!
    Pierre Journel.

I can say that you have a more relaxed commentary that truly appreciates a young girl who is roughly now in her 20's. Tina Setkic is truly admired more than ever before for her dedication to playing from acoustic guitar to later learning and playing the electric. You are correct in that she didn't just pick up the Beethoven Moonlight Sonata 3rd Movement and play. She had to practice it for days or even weeks to later record a very impressive performance. The piece is very complex and challenging. I'm certain that anyone who knows to play guitar well can play it and have their own unique style with it.
I applaud and miss Tina since I have seen her passion for guitar on TH-cam. Perhaps one day she will have new music to show us and even have written music that she may have produced. The mystery of her future is totally her choice. I wish you success, Tina! We the admirers do miss you online and hope to see you return. I love her playing. And absolutely in love with her smile after a wellplayed number. 😍🌷 Love her Gary Moore - The Loner the most, because I'm not too much into the harder rock. But I do honestly think she expresses emotion through music just as well as Gary Moore himself does in that piece.

There is a potential problem with doing it that way. You hear it a lot; a parent forces a hobby onto the child (whatever it maybe) and the kid although gets good hates doing it and therefore ruins the hobby for them. Hopefully this is a case of a hobby nurtured rather than put upon

I've been playing for 45 years. I have my master's degree in solo classical guitar performance. I'm considered to be very talented. Compared to this incredibly gifted lady, who I'm convinced is an alien from a far more technically developed planet, my playing sounds like my instrument. Is 4 rusty metal strings attached to a long steel pipe. Folks, you are listening to as close to perfection as it gets. I was at a concert in Lyon, France with her and Joe Satriani. They were playing simultaneously and at one point, Joe just stopped playing and walked over to Tina just to watch her. His face had a look of sheer joy and disbelief. When asked what he thought of Tina's playing, he stammered and murmured, "Fuck me sideways. She passed genius level lifetimes ago and has achieved perfection." this, from Joe Satriani, a true God.

Dennis - Your observation is spot on. And while I do think this particular "review" is genuine and spontaneous - many others that have been recently up-loaded stink of trying to look or appear as if the "Reviewers" are seeing this for the first time. They fill their critiques with “borrowed” phrases and witty comments such as “I am selling or throwing away all my guitars”. Just a bunch of jerks trying to appear unbiased and knowledgeable… and failing.

    • @zeppelinmexicano
      @zeppelinmexicano 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

@@GStones58 you are correct that some reviewers are not being honest, but quite a few are honest. Just because a thing exists in a world full of competing things doesn't mean everybody has seen it. I only found it this year. Absolutely my all time favorite piece, partly because I'm a Beethoven fan but also I love her technique. The vibrato, nobody ever mentions the vibrato, but it's exquisite.

With out question they are lying. And I do believe you know exactly what I am talking about. And of course there are many genuine videos offering honest opinions and critiquing as the “reviewer(s)” honestly believe. I feel this video is one of the later.
