Hello friend, I tried looking for you in the PBG discord and couldn't find your profile. Do you accept friend requests? I'd love to get this mod to try it out, there's a lot of custom campaigns I'd be curious to try out
@@Snowbo92 You should definitely be able to find me I talk all the time. Check the #board-games channel or the #arkham-horror-tcg channel :) You can then just message me from there and I'll be glad to help you out!
hi, care to share it for me? just bought TTS only for playing this game with friends, i've add friend on Discord. thanks so much for sharing the tutorial.
tysm for this. just recently picked up Arkham Horror, and wanted to try it on TTS for an easier set up but the controls for TTS drove me insane as i had never really used it before. this tutorial was easy to follow and understand. thank you !
Great guide! Thanks for the shoutout xD. For anyone who is curious about the few sections that were a little light: Deckbuilder - You can toggle to load investigators or not load them. This is useful when you are continuing a campaign and simply need to load updated decks and not the investigator card and mini again. Moreover, the "Upgraded" toggle let's you put in any deck ID from ArkhamDB and when you build all, the most recent, upgraded deck will be spawned. So you can just pop in your deck at the start of a campaign, and switch to Upgrade Yes, and never have to touch that number again. Custom Playmats - The main mat can be changed to be specific to the scenario you're playing. CYOA Campaign Guides - These are high quality campaign guides made into book/novel form before FFG adopted the spiral ring booklets in Edge of the Earth. These are made by CYOAntimarkovnikov. The intention was to help keep resolutions and choices on separate pages. It helps hide the different choices for players who enjoy their experiences spoiler-free. Navigation Overlay - This is made by JaqenZann. This feature provides pre-saved camera states that help you navigate the large mod. It is helpful for jumping from the player areas to the central board or the the encounter deck area with a click of a button. Player Cards - Some player cards are scripted. For example, right-clicking the card Short Supply gives you an option to discard 10 cards from the top of your deck automatically. Similarly, all blessed/cursed cards and sealing cards have these functionalities to them. Rite of Sanctification when right-clicked allows you to Seal and Release blessed tokens. Player Mats - These track investigators and player cards with special mechanics for you. Forced Learning, when placed on your player mat, will tell the Upkeep button to draw you 2 cards and then an message will prompt you to discard 1. Patrice will draw up to 5 cards during upkeep and Jenny will automatically gain 2 resources. Lastly, Attachment Helper was made by bankey. Clean Up Healer is by Chr1z.
Damn bro you're making me want to redo the entire video, great stuff. I wanted to cover a bunch of this but either forgot in the moment or figured it would be better left out to save time. I wish I could have multiple pins cause now I'm gonna pin yours over mine lmao. Great comment, thank you so much for writing it.
@@Krispe No harm done. You covered everything needed for someone to get started. People are inevitably going to need to ask questions about specifics but this is an invaluable resource to point new users to.
Great vid! Helped a ton. Turned on a bunch of the helpers you pointed out and then did a save as and made a seed file for whenever I want to start a game. Thanks yo!
Great tutorial, thank you! One thing that seems to have been overlooked: when you begin you seem already to have your investigator selected and put in place. When I first load the mod, that's obviously not the case. I'm sure I can figure it out, but it would be good to know how to use the 'Player Cards' section in the top left to select and place your investigator. I'm sure it's fairly obvious, but as someone who came to this tutorial as a complete beginner (and having not played the physical game for years, and so trying to get back into it) this was definitely a missing piece!
@@Krispe Oh, good. Can you say where? I watched the whole thing before posting and didn't spot it. I just had a quick click through the Deckbuilder section of the video, but didn't see you actually load an investigator and move it into place. (At the start of the video you seem to have Roland Banks already in place.) Only asking because that was the bit that I wasn't sure I was doing correctly!
@@tealeaf_green I mention it at 11:15 and then at 20:48. This is using the ArkhamDB deckbuilder. When you load in cards on the top deckbuilder you have to manually drag them.
Hi ! Thanks for the explanation and for contributing to the community! I have a Couple of questions if you don't mind 1-How do i add/remove tokens from the chaos bag when the campaign tells me to? 2-When playing a campaign over a longer period of time. Do you usually keep loading the same game between scenarios if you play each scenario on a different day? Or do you just start anew everytime opening the mod empty and load the scenario you are going to play? 3-Ive seen the pbg guys playing with a custom elder sign and autofail counter how do i get that? 4- how do you manage preston 4 resource a turn in a simple way? 5- how do you manage norman withers revealed card on top? I flipped the desk but this way i see the card under the first one when exchanging them with his grimoire
Thanks for the compliment, I’ll do my best to answer your questions! 1) I use the chaos bag manager as demonstrated in the video. 2) I always clean up using the clean up helper, save the game, and load and reload the decks (with the new upgrades) and continue from there. This is something I wish I covered in the tutorial. 3) I believe it’s a player contribution where you can get the mod but I’m unsure. I never use them personally. 4) I cannot answer this unfortunately, I’ve never played with Preston on TTS. My best guess would be to enable the Resource Counter option in the custom options because I do believe that will work with his permanent. 5) Norman I always flip the deck over, seeing the card below does suck and I don’t like it but it’s how I always have done it. Both the Preston and this question I would ask the Discord and see if people have a better way. Thanks again for your kind words! If you have any more questions feel free to let me know here or on the Discord!
@@Krispe i have a follow up question, im playing alice in wonderland, how do i add custom cards to my deck? i can't add them on arkham db, i tried simply keeping them in and that works but if for some reason i have to reload my deck or i clean the playmat they are gone, and I can't access them unless i load the entire scenario where i found them . any loop around this?
@@DrDifra I would recommend in that case, not cleaning up your deck after the scenario ends or by saving the deck as an object and loading it in that way. Hopefully that helps!
What to do if something seems broken? For me the rules to the left are all just very strong in purple, and I cant use them. Sometimes items in different places is the same. How do I fix it?
I have attempted to message you on discord but it seems it cannot go through. Either because we don’t share a server or we are not friends. I have joined both servers in the description. Do you have a setting on preventing direct messages by chance?
I just got this and was wondering how do you advance the plot or move the agenda. Do you have to spread the cards out than select the one you need to flip?
Just simply pick it up, flip it to read the act/agenda B (if required) then I usually put it in the set aside chest. And yes you have to quick grab it, as it’s usually a stack of cards, so you only want to grab the one on top. That’s it!
@@Imustscream Just don't hold left click too long, simply quickly press left click and drag the card off. Unfortunately there's not much else I can explain other than that. It's a timing thing that you just get used to. Just don't hold left click too long :)
I'm sorry man, can't get the hang of discord for some reason, I tried two hours to find you, but that program is kicking my butt. Is there another way to get the mod for Tts?
As much as I love this mod, I hate all the automation. The more things get automated, the harder it is to customize your experience. For example, if I wanted to use custom tokens for firearm resources that look like bullets, I have to manually remove all the default resource tokens every time I put one of those assets in play. Or I have to go in and figure out how to mod it in myself. Every time this mod gets updated I have to go in and manually remove most of the automation features.
I'm not sure how to respond to this. You just play the game. I've shown the setup and you just start playing. You take your turn like you would playing in person.
