I took my children to watch Mavka when it was released in Australia and we have watched Dragon Spell. Now I have some others to look for as well. Thank you for the recommendations.
I was shocked when I found out even my little town's movie theater had Mavka, the chances of having a Ukrainian movie there (or anything other than French or American) was nil before that. Of course I ran to watch it. Sadly not in original language, but then I bought the Bluray. It's really lovely, impressive that it got made on such a tiny budget.
I checked "The Stolen Princess Ruslan & Lyudmyla", it's nice too. I hope Animagrad has a bright future ahead.

I'm a great Patron fan, been watching since the very first episode! They are well subtitled and it's easy to switch between English and Ukrainian subs, plus they're only a few minutes long so I usually make a lesson of it and watch a few times, first with no subs at all, then English, then Ukrainian.

I love all of these, and my kids have already seen plenty of them, especially the older ones. There's another famous old Ukrainian animation, the Hedgehog in the Fog .. but it scared my kids when they were very little.

I loved Мавка, managed to see the original Ukrainian language version with English subtitles last year in the UK, but everytime I see it for sale on DVD or Blu-Ray, it is only the english dubbed version 😞

Yes, we are Ukrainians, we have been living in the State of Delaware since 1998. I tried to find the Ukrainian language for my child, and just she got paint in her ears after that sound.
It's bad, that the translation won't be great.
