@skyman2002 I actually watched a video of a cab ride aboard the Vermonter through here. It was the coolest thing ever! It was aboard the old Amtrak F40PH sometime in the 1980’s or 90’s. It showed back before the Railroad Street crossing by the depot was separated, and the High Street had its double decker flashers that everyone loves from your famous video of 2007. It’s just so amazing to see it in its older years compared to today. Just shows how NECR really cares about its older crossing equipment. Most of the time, they just dump them and put up those annoying electronic bells. The one modification I’d make to this crossing is gates, just because most of the people drive like crap, but other than that, these signals are going strong!
I’ve been watching your channel for years, and I kinda remember those cantilevers being painted green at one point, unless that old vid I seen of them made them look like that lol
I felt like I was with him right there As he was showing us this Crossing and i was taking pictures and writing down notes anyway Someday I too would like to make a railroad crossing tour video I just don't know how to do it

You're so right!
They even oil the bells too yearly.
@@skyman2002 oh my goodness! I like that idea! This is something we cannot get through to the class ones about. It’s so sad!
Nice to that see this railroad or the signal maintainer likes M bells instead of straight up replacing them with a garbage e bell
The signal Foreman takes good care of his Bells.
Some of them are over 55 years old and still ringing loudly as they were when they were new.
