If I had a time machine, I'd definitely go back to the late 80s and see these guys perform
+Daniel Kennedy i would too
I would come with u
Heck yea our parents are lucky
+Zombie Craft Not really cuz my mom's a feminist and she hates NWA hahaha
+Daniel Kennedy well I was talking about that there were alive when nwa was together that's what I meant
He actually sounded like eazy in this scene and he wasn't lip synching either
Steevin Harris facts
Some of it was lip sinc
Steevin Harris facts
facts
A lot of it was easy e real son
This movie was so cheated out of a well deserved Oscar.
true
+Primus Productions yea I know
+ComeliaO7 that's white Hollywood for ya!
*Nom*
+Alex Otey idk maybe
The actors themselves are actually really good rappers
ik especially ice cubes son
Luke Smith the man tht played Eazy-E did a really good job at playing him
Samaje Wilson since they didn't let eazy-e's son play his father they let him coach the actor who played his father
Luke Smith well O'Shea has his father so he probably helps him
probably?
Ice Cube IS the coach for his son
for all his life
Ren should've gotten more screen time
That's what I'm saying!
Ren was supposed to be the main MC when the group started. Cube was the youngster with no experience but he ended up writing the dopest lyrics.
Nik B I meant "no experience" as in no business experience. He was just out of high school.
E 10x They had the Arabian Prince before Ren, right? This is from the top of my head. Don't feel like researching with my slow ass phone.
+Sitizen Kane No, wrong. Have u heard of CIA? That was group before nwa
Imagine being an extra for this, like "Hey you wanna be in a movie?"
"Um sure what I gotta do?"
"You gotta be someone in a audience at an NWA concert."
"Hell yeah!"
Like, idk
Andrew Knepp 😂
They legit showed up at a random club and said aye no phones, we filming a movie, you gonna be at an NWA Concert. Treat it like it’s a real one.
"And I'm getting paid for it"?
I wouldn't even stood after he said what he said I would have fainted Cos N.W..A MEANS SO A LOT TO ME
I was there
DJ Yella and MC Ren are ignored
Pab † that's actually true
Shorty Pab † yea
Shorty Pab † dj yella isn't a rapper he just makes the music better he is a dj
Yeah the Arabian Prince, Jinx, DOC and other artists werent even mentioned por did come in the movie
Anti Hero come on he got like 2 min screentime. that's fucked up
This movie was lit af and I'm a heavy metal fan
oh shit waddup
im a heavy metal fan too. but i Love rap music
XxDark AxelxX basically all the songs that were in the movie
hip hop and metal the best
Josh Houston Dude, next they gotta make a Megadeth movie about Dave getting kicked out and starting Megadeth.
Eazy is the only gangsta to pretend he is a rapper lol
Hahaha!!
Truth!
I agree but hes still an mazing rapper
Biggie was another but he died early
LMAO! Facts
@@DantesInferno96 you sound dumb
Meanwhile a teenage Eminem is just getting starting to get into hip hop.
Liam Farrell And a young teenage Biggie is skipping school and hustling in the streets while Tupac is about to move to Baltimore.
@@youboty1314 You know it's not cool to hate on Eminem anymore right?
suckafool123 lmao ik
All according to plan.
@@suckafool123 Its not hate. Eminem isn't as great as some people try to make him out to be. Slim shady LP and Marshal Mathers LP is where it ends.
gta san andreas replicated the 90s west coast so well
mbproject21 oh lol it is 1992 nvm cuz I thought it said 1970 on the first cut scene
mbproject21 um yes it is dumbass
For this specific scene it was the mid-late 1980's.
And GTA San Andreas is actually based in East Coast not west
@@Sadwilly no its west coast.
The 80s seemed like such a fun time
Everybody having a hangover EVERY day after all the crack they smoked and all the beer and SHIT. All that sex and all that fucking drugs..
It would be so fucking awesome :P
everybody gots aids and shit.
+hugo vargas Only in certain parts of the US
+GrantH pretty sure he was referring his statement towards this part of the 80's
+Bravo 8-2 yo
This is the scene where I realized they were the shit. I knew some of their songs, but being born after Eazy-E died, I obviously did not know much about them. But this gave me a taste of what they were like beyond the studio albums. Great movie.
Same
lol for a second i thought you said they were shit... then i re read it :)
R_Blizzle16 same. They are #1
I was born after Biggie died. That was 1997. So I learned a whole lot too by watching this and Notorious too
R_Blizzle16 bruh it's not the real thing the movie is a lie
The person who directed this and Selena the movie need to get together and make a tupac movie
Duude that'll be amazing
+Texastrash Tarango yassss
yeppp
They are there making 2pac and snoop dogg movie
+dead-orgins- gaming yay
This scene is actually a good example of having a good eye for marketing. The first two agents left and barely gave them a chance because they were judging the music based on their own taste. They probably thought the music was too crude, the lyrics too vulgar, etc. and thought that kind of music would not be marketable. Jerry and Bryan on the other hand, knew it didn't matter what they personally thought of the music, they could immediately tell that it was indeed very marketable and thus had a lot of potential. How? At 1:18 you see Bryan look around in the audience and saw everyone getting hyped, jumping and singing along. That's how he knew.
Much of the audience already knew the lyrics as well, indicating that NWA had a solid fan base that would grow in part because of the lyrics' memorability, and because the pacing of the tracks by Dre set up E, Cube, and Ren (?) to weave their vocal emphasis into the rhymes, people WANTED to join in on the fun at every show.
The executives who bailed missed all that.
@@jenesus6220 they found others to exploit
@@DjTIMEJD It's not that simple, musicians wouldn't make it big without executives contacts and resources.
@@ShavoSoaDerback in the day at least
@@ShavoSoaDerBack then it was harder to make it independent. Now we see so much talent come from independent artist

This was thumpin' in the theater. I'm sorry that ya'll didn't win that _Oscar_, but something bigger and better is coming. I know it.....
Where you been? I have not seen your comment in a min. :)
The tupac biopic or what?
+xITS KAZPERx yeah
+xITS KAZPERx now everyone gonna get Biopics. Soon we'll get an Eminem one too (although 8 mile was I guess kinda one maybe?)
I’m glad I didn’t see it in the theaters. Because security probably would have kicked me out during this part. lol
I'm still laughing my ass off at jerry Heller trying to bounce,But Do that shit do it.
@vitesse Simon was like screw it :( »
now what's strange about here is that if you actually log on to where I derived this from you'll see that "dual-wield" makes sense..too¡^›
The movie theater was like a mini concert on this part
2:43 Jerry singing along got me dead 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hey man the actor played jerry well

1:57 when I saw suge I was like "awww hell nawww"
My brother was standing next to him.
@@Nisha63001 I’m sorry
That was in Suge’s Body guarding days
When this scene started, it felt like whole theatre started shaking.
I still think ren should've got more screen time the deleted scene with him and dre performing comptons n the house was amazing but I guess they didn't show it
I know it sucks :( REN is dope
should've at least kept it in the directors cut
Brett Wojcak ft. I Itiffffidjjdjdjjjkkky
H.
Brett Wojcak it was a long movie as it was so there was a lot of deleted scenes apparently there was a scene with dre meeting Eminem

when cube starts the "do that shit" rens like oh daaayum
2:35?
This is actually a really solid cover.
0:46 starts my fav part of the song and this movie executed it perfectly
That’s my favourite part 💯
if i had a time machine i will go back to see EAZY
Dom Tracy same

Imagine being an extra in the crowd for this scene
Jason Mitchell was the PERFECT choice for eazy. Goddamn
1:40 favorite part
Julian Bacon me too
Same eazy
Yesss same!!!
Idk it just sounds so cool
1:41
the actor who played ren looks the most gangsters out of all of them
My favorite part of this scene is still the way MC Ren was looking when the camera panned to him on "do that shit"! 😂😂😂
Why does MC Ren look so pissed like all the time
I mean, if I were black in the late 80s-early 90s in Compton I think I'd have plenty of reasons to be pissed
Because he’s a terrific writer yet he’s one of the least wealthy members of the N.W.A.
lol I seen that too
Lmfaooo right?!?!?
remember in the actual song the Mexican part
Yes 😂😂
+Cynthia Ruiz yo mr doorman u think ur slick
+Priceless Gaming 😂😂😂 I meant dope man it corrected 😂😂😂
Hey mr dopeman you think you're slick...

I really want the extended version of this movie. I love Straight Outta Compton is one of my favorite songs
Holy crap.... The west coast WAS ON FIRE during the 80s!! in every single detail.... You got the Riots in LA, NWA killing the hip hop scene, you got Megadeth, Metallica and other west coast Thrash metal bands...
1:09 the way cubes eyes glanced over idk y but it was badass in a way
Really it's 1:08

2:43 makes me laugh every time
This was the best biopic of all time... hands down
Up there with the Queen Biopic
This is one of the scenes that they look like the real NWA
A movie about rap music and a video about that movie i'm looking for the comments, it is like always. Rap deserves more than this. Especially N.W.A
Never forget when i heard this for the 1st time.
My partner told me he wanted me to hear somethin.
He had a 9.8 (car) with a alpine system.
He also showed me the album cover.
I was mesmerized by the images.
A bunch of dudes, some with a curl in their hair, looking hard and drinking old E.
I was 16 or 17 so was like 86 or 87.
I was floored.
Never heard rap like that before.
Everything rap song that hadn't been too short or ice T, had come from east coast.
Time flies!
Whats sad is that if their sons re-create NWA they wouldn't get half the love in this generation. People don't know what real music is
R Quest i get you
No because their children will never be as talented. That’s the real reason why they wouldn’t get love.
I agree and im only 11 and listen to NWA Tupac and Biggie
R Quest you damn straight saying that.Modern rap is trash one verse from any 80s to 90s rap murders modern shit.
Not even that. Folk are just too damn sensitive these days
Mann I can’t believe how rap turn from this to mumble rap
Does anybody else think that the actor playing dre looks so much more like mc ren then he does dre?????
Yeah he's handsome though.
Wraabb66 he looks nothing like Dre but he still did a great job and was believeable as dre
he looks like tyler the creator
I definitely said that when I first saw the movie lol but they still did a great job recruiting the cast
Wraabb66 too light to be ren
The way Cube stood there before his verse kicked off 🔥🔥🔥 EPIC
Who’s here after watching this film on Netflix to see Eazy’s verse be cut
Finally someone who actually did notice. I'll try to find an extended version and probably rewatch it for the 4727467447734774 time :))
Wait hold up!!! They're on NETFLIX NOW??!
Cam M yeah but a few of the scenes have been deleted not sure why
Dragos Dragos was disappointed to see Netflix cut eazy’s verse, was one of the best scenes in the film
Where is it on Netflix it’s not on mine
“NOW EVERYBODY SAY YEAH”
“HELL YEAUHHHHHH”
2:05 I love how sound the crowd in the background
Am I wrong to like the movie version of Dopeman versus the Original? Lol.
Nah, me too
you good.
The original ain't got jack mf shizznigheett! On this version and that's just the facts man. I relish in the part where that is truly sincerely evident the most at the "closer."
-My office hrs are from- 👉👉 (not explaining anything this time)
I do too. It's more modern.
one of my fav scenes
I didn't see E rap this part in the cinemas. I likes
Yeah this is from the director's cut
Why is eazy part not in the movie?
the eazy part was dope
Rich Blackman i see what you did lol
Nik B it is. Just not in the TV version of SOC
It's in the directors cut
This movie has the perhaps best casted actors ever.
The energy is sublime. It's like a Roman Army!!
One second of this scene is 1 million times better than every rap song since 2010.
Poor Kendrick, Cole, and Eminem
2010 raps were dope tho
@@deepaparakkal4241 those rappers music helped motivated you when you were struggling in life
Underrated cinematography and editing! Made this scene phenomenal!
i cringed when jerry was singing along
same here...
Ian Notorious same
If Jerry had cringed at EZ there would never have been an NWA. Jerry did more for them than you ever did.
Ya can't blame him. Dopeman was lit lmao.
He was just showing how much he supported them
Itz 2020 and I’m in love with N.W.A💜 I wish I could go back in time and see them perform this performance 😭. I this song omg 😘 .
Man those things are crazy. I wish i was around at the time
ik me too so bad

rollin 6-4 with the fresh ass daytons
Jason sound just like easy and O’Shea jr sound just like his daddy
They made Eazy like a robot xD
No the actor is just a bad rapper
+Ian Weasel they inserted eazy e's real voice into the movie....the actor wasn't singing
+BumGiants54 yes he was the edited to sound like him
+DJ BADA BOOM shouldn't his son get the role?
+Jonas Peters when auditioning they wanted to put him they felt he couldn't handle the role. they needed someone who can act like a thug to a rock star to being sick in his death bed
Imagine how cool it was for them to hear the audience sing the lyrics back at them at the first big concert
Ice cudes son killed it He Deserved a Oscar for his Performance in this movie hell then all Did
Brian felt that energy and hit a goldmine.
1:49 bligger ahahahah
Fun fact the man who played Ice Cube is his Som he look just like him 😭
Who didn’t know this
Yo@@tonyyyyyy2117
As a former DJ myself (I didn't do it like Dre though, I can't scratch at all lol) when I used to play records back in the day's at parties (also not as big as this, but a small 2k people was tops for me) I can tell you, it gives you a feeling of strength, power, and also you feel mighty when you stop the music, or in their case, stop singing and you make the public go wild and finish the song for ya. It is so super dope! It gives you shivers over your body.
These homies did a very good job, they even made me listen to rap now after seeing this movie a few years ago. Thanks for this.
By far the greatest rap group, EVER!
Gen z really get dump shut head thinking eminem is the one who invented rap hip hop to the table🤣🤣..
@@deathchronicles6960 stupid ahh

Wish E was alive

I think the dolly shot through the crowd and stage while the bass kicks in and Ren is hyping the crowd up really makes this scene. You know you're into some dope shit
