It was easily one of the top 5 films of the year. it was an important and relevant message this year too with all the tension between police and African American youth. I'm white and I still see it clear as day. There is still a whole lot of prejudice in this country and I support BLM 100%. Not saying every cop is bad and in fact I agree that it's still a minority of police overall (although it's still a large number) that are evil and racist. But what good cops and privileged white Americans need to do is denounce them rather than support law enforcement as a whole. If we denounce those evil cops we have a chance at peace, but when we support all of law enforcement, it indirectly supports the bad cops which pisses ppl off more. Keep fighting America
This scene would have been better if they showed the ACTUAL aftermath of this event; In real life, NWA managed to successfully escape the police and sneak back to their hotel room. They were arrested the next day when they went down to the lobby to meet some groupies only to find the police waiting. Not only would their successful escape from the police be a FAR more trumphant "fuck you" to the cops at the scene, but the actual circumstance of their arrest the next day would have provided a moment of levity.

When I first saw this movie, the theater had some difficulty playing it during the first half because of a storm; when they got it working again, they kinda started it all the way to the beginning, and most people started to leave, but I chose to stay, and turns out they managed to take us back where it left off.
