What a patch! This is beautiful 🙏 hats off 👏. Morphagene is the one module I know I underutilize the most - actually I know I haven’t used it much yet. But this is sooo nice that I feel I have to change it. Thank you for sharing 🙏
Thanks so much Ondrej!! I always wanted it and got it when I started my case. It literally sat for 5 months just looking pretty with all its glorious lights. I have gone through every module except this one. It was so daunting for some reason. I was going into the deep dive because it was time and then Jim posted that last patch and shared some patch tips which were awesome and helpful. Now that I’ve broken the seal and understand it better I’m thinking I’ll get into it. Like all make noise it’s got a big intuitive side to it. Once you get enough of the tech of it down it’s all feels. Still so much to learn but I feel like I can explore with it while as before I didn’t have a clue about where to even start. I think it’s gonna be a good one…. Can’t wait to hear what you think about it as you get more into it…
Flippin' awesome! Sounds SO NICE! You took just the right clip from that sample - it's got so much going on, then layers layers layers with Clouds and Mimeo! I can see that freeze button popping on and off, too! 😄 Beautiful sample, and beautiful patch! 💯 I also noticed that SOMEONE PASSED 100 SUBS. Congratulations! ROCK STAR.
Thank you so much!! I am so happy you enjoyed it. I’m so excited for you. I didn’t know make noise made that sweet little combo setup! You’re going to love it. Also the Mimeophon is in there too and it’s my favorite module. I’m still working on figuring the morphagene out, it’s a little scary how quickly everything can go wild with a tiny little turn of a knob. I’m working towards the ability to play it like an instrument so if it goes off the rails I can play it like it was a meant to be solo shred and bring it back to something workable. In this video I had the intention to play around with the patch but I was scared to touch it that I might ruin it and it was doing way cool things on it’s own so I just listened. It’s such an interesting module. I really like Make Noise once you get to understand their modules then they’re really intuitive, deep and creative.
Great to meet you yesterday Lauren! I appreciate what you’re creating here and especially love that the Casio is in full display for the whole experience!
So great to meet you too Mike! Haha the Casio, that was really funny. What a fun night with lovely people. Hit me up if you ever want to jam, record shop, see a show, I know DJ would be up for all that too…. ✨✨✨
Awesome patch Lauren! I've had Morphagene for a little while now, but have really only scratched the surface with it. Might have to try this technique too! Thanks for the video :)
sweeeet session................Although I don't really have any experience with any modular gear, I've always been a massive fan of the Morphagene................
Thank you so much!! 🥰 I agree, I had no idea how magical it could be! I’m excited to explore it more. Looking forward to hearing what you come up with. ✨✨✨
Hi sorry somehow I didn’t get notified about this question. I used the Morphagene only. It’s a sample I recorded from an old vinyl I own. I put it through a Morphagene site called morphaweb to make splice markers and to download the correct format onto the sd card. I found a splice that worked and continued to tweak it with gene, slide and morph until I liked what was hearing.
