She is so amazing! Her music is next level emotive! I also love that she never seems to use dedicated drums but more rhythmic synth stabs to create percussive movement. Her you tube clips also seem to just intensely grow and grow and you feel like it's Going to DROOOOOOPPPP!!! But casually swells back down to peace. Big love from Australia Hélène and make noise, huge fan of you both xxoo
This is a next level Morphagene tutorial. If only all Eurorack tutorial videos were this good. This is really good. Amazingly good. This is good good good.
I'm a bit of a noob to the Modular World and the Titans that dwell inside. I've stumbled across some of her other performances and I had just thought "Okay, that's where the bar must be". I didn't realize she's the one who set it so high in the first place!
That voice, what's in a name. I am always amazed by the beauty Hélène creates in these abandoned environments (this particular one looks well organized). Great demo of the Morph's power in any patch.
"From the Earth to the entire Universe." ... no kidding. I was reticent to say this because it can't be said lightly. Hélène is an Instant Legend. She's doing things with sound that don't come naturally, unless to those who've been Inspired or "Hit With The Light". There are times where she's putting things together better than others, and there are times- such as in this example- she just hits the mark Totally, Encompassing EVERYTHING If she were a painter, we'd be making comparisons between her, Raphael and DaVinci.
"Creating a new rule of sonic possibilities" so incredible, all of this. And when people dance freely to sounds also amazing booming the possibilities. Just wow! Thank you!
As always with Helene's work: Beautiful sound and versatile composition. Following the postings on instagram I was expecting some kind of tutorial, though. The morphagene truly is a great instrument on its own. Both performance and sound design shows how skilled the artists is. Nice work!
Interesting. Wish there was a shifting of the pitch sequence to create a progression that was on a larger cycle to at least get an ABA structure then play with each section for variation.
Super Cool!!! Congrats! Such a great perfomance! I just don't get how, at 0:45 and 1:03, even if she's using a condenser mic (Liittle mikey with Phantom on), she avoids recording the sound/noise of the REC button being pressed (and the Morph knob is full CCW). Is there a kind of new "onset" trick for recording that i'm missing with my Morphagene? Then, at after she's sampling (Rec+ splice and Rec, Rec+Splice and Rec...) at 1:24, why she press Rec+ splice at 1:50? It's the combo button to "delete Splice", isn't it? Hope you have time to answer me. Anyway, great music! Thank you! D.
I think "building block" or perhaps "cornerstone" is the metaphor you're looking for. "Stepping stone" implies something which momentarily eases a transition between two states, whereas as this is the foundation on which the piece rests.... It's great though, whatever it is 😘
This is really interesting. Could the Morphagene be used in a Hip Hop context; sequencing slices from a break over a drum machine pattern? What other modules would I need to use the Morphagene in this fashion? (assuming I already have a hardware drum machine and an external sequencer) Has anybody used the Morphagene in conjunction with Acid Rain Technology's Maestro?
Only critique is I really really wish there was an overhead camera so we can see what she’s doing, the sounds are gorgeous I’d just like to see how she’s getting from point A to B

If you liked her music so much does you bought it on bandcam?
Good explanation. I love how her music slowly grows in intensity. Beautiful.

"Simple vocal pattern"... quite an understatement with that voice. ;-) Awesome demo.
Thank you Make Noise for this special episode of "Hélène Vogelsinger refuses to not be amazing"
"From the Earth to the entire Universe." ... no kidding.

Wow, so amazing and inspirational for someone whos getting Morphagene tomorrow )
This was so great...and helpful! thx MN and Helene Vogelsinger for the super musical demonstration. :)
Looking forward to this One!
"Creating a new rule of sonic possibilities" so incredible, all of this. And when people dance freely to sounds also amazing booming the possibilities. Just wow! Thank you!
That was an insanely beautiful demo.
Love it! Beautiful work as always Hélène

So wonderful and so cool to watch Hélène's process! Beautiful music and wonderful performance, bravo! 😍
Simplicity extrapolated - beautiful. Love the studio - analogous to an art or textile studio from the turn of the last century.
Swwwweeeeet! That was the first video I've seen of her performing. Off to find more!

What a lovely mix of talent and technology!
Hélène is truly amazing, and her work is inspirational. It makes me want to go do some recording with my Morphagene right now!
Love this! Please keep it coming.

Anyway, great music! Thank you! D.
At 1:50 she deletes the original Splice, having recorded clips of it into shorter Splices.
When this deep bass comes ! Wouhaaa !
pure inspiration , "just sounds" but make my world so much better! Thank you Helene...
What do you mean "just sounds"? That makes no sense.
Yep!
Wow. This is so good and it gives me a bunch of ideas for my Morphagene. Thank you 😍
She is just amazing! 🙌
Excellent piece. Great tension and energy. Very rewarding. Thanks!
Goosebumps. This is just sublime.
Vogelsinger is simply brilliant.

I have so many questions to ask....that was beautiful.

The glance at second 1 told me everything I need to know :D

Hélène Vogelsinger
That was so beautiful and amazing 🙏💜
beautiful. for the video: would have been nice to see more of the modular synth... instead of vintage requisites :)
Great demonstration - finally something musical resonating with me
This was SO great!!😮 That is such an inspiring ending. Makes you want to get up and do something!
This is spectacular! Good usage of wires, bad ass!

So cool! Where are the sequences coming from? Hermod?
Seems to be a NerdSeq in the case on her left and an ER-101 in the case on her right
My only complained is that on 1:00 the voice over makes it dificult to copy Helene's voice.....
2:53
