My favorite part of this was his wrapping up of the ball with both hands, as he crossed the goal line. He's obviously like those of us sick and tired of seeing players drop the ball before reaching the end zone.
Or he can feel the defenders behind him and needs to protect the ball, because looking back would only slow him down and render him vulnerable to a poke.
FCS has had it right all along. College football deserves a legit playoff system WITH ACTUAL HOME GAMES. This kinda stuff is so great. As a long-time App State fan, I miss that atmosphere.
@@JamesMurryFanClub I'm told I had a fabulous time that night, though the amount of moonshine I drank in celebration means I can't actually confirm if that's true 🤣
This young man is a freakazoid. Love is without a doubt one of the top 3 backs in the nation, and I'd be very confident in saying he is #2 at worst. Hurdles, physicality to stiff arm that poor IU defender into the shadow-realm, absolutely blows up a USC corner in the last game with a nasty hit stick. He is developing into an absolutely elite immediate NFL starting caliber running back.
What this game proved is that anyone can have a great record with a weak schedule. Technically, both teams fall into that category. It showed Notre Dame is actually good while Indiana’s record was fool’s gold.
Generally, the defender trailing will close the gap somewhat. It’s easier to run without the ball and easier to chase than be chased because everything is in front of you. You have to be significantly faster as the offensive player to actually keep pulling away. There are few running backs in history that could do that. Guys like Bo Jackson and Eric Dickerson are pretty rare.
You can't teach speed. Look how he just ran away from those defensive backs. And notice how he cupped the ball in both hands as he neared the end zone. None of the showboating or nonchalant stuff that has gotten others in trouble.
Notre Dame gets all the calls in their games. The opposite of what happens in the big games for the cowboys. Never bet against Notre Dame not covering a spread and absolutely stay the hell away from Cowboys games in the NFL if you're betting for them to win. I'm not the least bit of a fan for either football team, but its obvious to anyone with an IQ above 20. If I won the lottery I'd finance a systematic review of the penalties called (or not called) in both the Irish & Cowboys games in the past 25 years, the objective analysis/ results of the review woukd be irrefutable. Screw Notre Dame and I feel bad for the Cowboys organization and their fanbase. Just my 2 cents.
Not a bad way to start the 12 team playoff
THIS JUST HAPPENED, HOW!?
@@slayeuhthey’ll choke in the next round. Indiana isn’t good enough personnel wise to keep up it looks

That and he knew he had defenders on his trail bro lol
Both facts
Smart man.
Colts fan? 😔
Battling a cold and not 100% after his knee injury, and still ran away from some of IU's fastest players. Dude has wheels!
Yeah I live here in South bend I see Notre Dame play my whole life and he's one of my favorite players of all time that played for Notre Dame
Love the ball security at the end of the run. 🙏
Good heads up play.
Was at the game. Best gameday experience ND has had in a while. They needed that.
With that 98 yard run. The Fighting Irish kickoff the 12 team playoff off on flying start!!!
first 4 minutes have included 2 picks and a 98 yard td run
wtf

The left tackle for ND, Anthonie Knapp, is a true freshman.
Wow that was quick keep up the good work crazy run
Hell of a block leading that run
Incredible block by 54. Incredible hold by 74.
And Horrible angle by Number 5😭😭😭

Nick Bosa got tackled by KC tackled on a 3rd and 15 in SB 54. It happens all the time.
Love how the crowd erupts before he really even breaks the line. We know what J. Love will do if you give him an inch of space.
Best part of the entire play
The Irish just churn out RBs year after year like it ain’t no thang.
This guy has amazing speed for a RB. Hope to see him making long runs like this in the NFL one day. Keep it up J. Love.

Also- huge shout out to #54- True Freshman Anthonie Knapp moving Kamara off the line allows this run to happen.
Make sure to make a video about how Toledo has rushed the field twice and still hasn’t win
Bros lungs after: 🧊🧊🧊🥶🥶🥶
My brother and I were losing it watching this live
Just like in CFB 25 when the CPU does this to my defense
Eric Dickerson said he never looked back just ran as fast as he could
Call him Mercury, for his feet hath wings!
Well, damn…That’ll leave a mark!
I was there.
Although this only put Notre Dame up 7-0, we saw the life come out of Indiana.
& that set the tone!
He started about 2 yds deep in the end zone, so he ran about 102 yds. Yeah, I know the line of scrimmage and all!
Everyone talks about Jeanty…this dude is the real deal. Best RB in college football and does it against real defenses!!
Bro this just happened a few minutes ago
Did it really, captain obvious?
Bro entered the Speed Force and never looked back.
That was a major left hook.
what song are the band playing after the td?
He is going to give Georgia problems. That's going to be one hell of a game.

#5 had the angle on him but his own teammate #22 got in the way
TF are you watching ? You clearly not looking nor understand speed no way he would’ve caught him even with a slight hezi

The safety bit on that fake. He's the only guy who cannot bite on that fake.

Horrible angle by number 5 when he came to the line 😭😭
great run ...bad read by #2 he took himself out of the play before he was blocked ...i know you have outside contain but read your tackle te keys
I saw in in person
Nice

Hearing the victory clog song after every touchdown gives me chills. Go irish!

Indiana with the world's dumbest formation
Long angry run
Indiana had no business in the playoff picture. Alabama or South Carolina would have been better choices.
Rudy smash em dogg
Shitty announcers calling leonard moore-leonard floyd....when exactly did spindler get hurt and how bad is he?????they really suck--
What a waste of a spot Indian turned out to be
There's people from the SEC fans saying, what is Indiana doing here?
I seriously doubt bama or The U would be down 17-3 at half
Irish will not get too far in playoffs with a mediocre QB And OC
IRISH Only touchdown by offense, defense doing all the work, Mike Denbrock no good leonard hit andmiss
Both teams kinda suck
