A lot missing here. How about that huge comeback of WMU broncos over UT? Also WMU Broncos 2 trick plays against Purdue in the Motor City bowl. How about CMU trick play to upset OK State? Also Boise State trick play in a bowl game to beat OK
That was the game that made me fall in love with college football. Boise had no business winning that game on paper, and they pulled out all the stops to stun Goliath.
@@joshuawatts5378 They included all three of BSU's trick plays, as they should have. Like you said, they pulled every trick they had in the bag, and it was enough to win a game that nobody gave them ANY chance of winning.
No one ever expects the Flea Flicker. Its such an random play that you often only see in college ball, and that's what keeps things interesting. Freaking love it.
I hate trick plays from the kneeling formation. That’s the one time you shouldn’t abuse it. Or next time, don’t complain if they destroy your qb just in case
Kickers scoring touchdowns are my favorite trick plays. It's always fun watching a player that only ever kicks the ball to show their true athleticism every now and again.
Bear Bryant caused a rule change in college football by using tear-away jerseys with an extra one carried in the player's pants. If his jersey gets destroyed by an attempted tackle during the play, he can pull out the extra and put it on before the next snap and never miss a play. The rules now require the player to be out for a play or his team call timeout if a jersey gets destroyed.
This restores my Faith in American Football ! Some of the lateral plays going down field are a little hard to get used to, as I think it just reminds me of maybe how European rugby is played ? Still Good stuff ! 🖐️ 🤚 🏈 😉 🏈
The fair catch guy has guts to try that. Could’ve been tee’d off on. Maybe that can only be attempted bc it’s not the 80’s-90’s anymore when defenders could straight destroy you.
Not an American but I do enjoy American football to me it’s like a game of chess . I watch a fair bit of it and it seems to me you do not see as many trick plays in the NFL as you do in college football. I may be wrong lol . I live in Australia we have Rugby league here where we play with a similar shaped ball each team in possession gets a number of tackles or as you say plays before kicking it away but we cannot throw it forward .
Boston College vs Villanova was the one that got me bad (as well as the cameraman) these are some great trick plays. This is why I love college football, you don't see plays like this in the NFL
This video is advertised as being less than 18 minutes, but with all the time I spent rewatching and analyzing nearly every play it turned into a 2 hour project.
lol, 1:45, they're circling the guy and being like "He screwed up" - dude wasn't actually fooled at all, he just took a solid block and couldn't quite get off it. The guy who was supposed to be following the receiver goes off-screen but when he comes back on it doesn't look like he's in the right place.
@@JamesBond-lb3yr I don't know. What is the success rate of trick plays in college football? You seem to be moving the goal posts a bit. Your statement was not that the success rate was higher in college, but that you don't see those trick plays in the NFL. Which is false.
Florida literally did the Philly Special in this video before it was the Philly Special. So ya, they do run trick plays in the NFL and sometimes those trick plays might help you win a Super Bowl.
@@JamesBond-lb3yr Lower, which is why you don't see them as often. Most of these only work because of blown coverage. As you get more disciplined and learn to stay on your man, no matter what, many of these "wide open" receivers downfield wouldn't be wide open. Yes, they try these in the NFL. No, not as often.
"The Train" was a part of the "trickeration" method of rebuilding a team... then my school (Michigan) finally got some players who could win in the B1G.
Forgive me if I am wrong. But as a new audience of American football, I do feel college football is way more enjoyable than NFL. More statics, more trick plays and most important, less commercials!
The fair catch TD should have been called back. The rule states that if a receivers hands go up past his shoulders at any time, it's a fair catch signal. When he caught the ball, his hands went up past his shoulders after he did a sideways wave. Technically, that's an invalid fair catch signal--penalty.
I’d like to see an offensive lineman throw a pass. I have never seen it happen, and with the quarterback being an eligible receiver (has to be at least 1 yard behind the center in the NFL), if he were to pitch it to a lineman, then such a play would give the lineman 6 eligible receivers to throw to.

you know its a good trick play when the cameraman gets confused
I was literally about to type it word for word how u did
How about the announcers missing it and they're not watching the monitor because they're watching it live.
so true
Unless you’re watching on the Pac-12 network. Most simple play action plays confuse the camera operator.
Could say that better
Every time I think of college trick plays Boise will always be first to come to mind, so iconic
That whole sequence at the end of the OU game was a primer on perfectly executed deception. Just a master act, so good.
@@SpreadEagle6 only topped by the fox announcer ruining the proposal at the end. how is this not a movie yet?
One of the greatest games ever played at any level. And no one, but NO ONE, ever ran the Statue of Liberty as well as BSU did that night.

The Boise State 2 point conversion also ended with Ian Johnson proposing to his girl friend. That was an amazing game
What a fun compilation! Nice work, as usual.
Bossie State's Fiesta Bowl win will always be my favorite college game ever.
16:32 every lineman’s dream 😂
Like an absolute boss.
Boise St. defeating Oklahoma with trick plays, was one of the most incredible games I ever saw. Big upset and a big pay day for me. 😁🇺🇸
That run of plays by Boise St is Masterclass.
Good videos bro! Keep up the grind brotha!

I don't comment a lot but I watch everyone of your exciting videos. Thnx for making them.
NGL that first clip where Memphis helped the opposing team up and gave him the head tap for a good play. Big smiles haha
12:41 buddy behind the sign needs a hug
those were great!! thanks for posting!
This is why I like college football they aren’t afraid to try something different
Hopefully they add these trick plays in ncaa 25
I love these types of vids
BSU will always be the Legend of trick plays.
The statue of Liberty. Awesome name and awesome play
Kickers scoring touchdowns are my favorite trick plays. It's always fun watching a player that only ever kicks the ball to show their true athleticism every now and again.
1:30 that block took out two ... awesome! :)
Some of these trick plays are savage and I like it
What a fun compilation! Nice work, as usual.. 16:32 every lineman’s dream .
So much fun seeing plays that Bear Bryant ran in the sixties and Bobby Bowden ran in the eighties... still being run successfully.
I can't believe you don't have the Puntrooski in here. Clemson FSU kn 1988. Top 5 all time.

As a BSU fan, I LOVE trick plays.
Let’s goooooo best video ever
3:33 this is called hide the midget 😂😂😂
those are some nice plays
great trick plays
More of these please

One of the great allures to College football is the potential trick play. I love it.
i must say, i wasn't expecting to click on a highlight reel video and see my school as the very first one lol
The Boise State/Oklahoma Fiesta Bowl was one of the best college football games of all time.
Very nice li
1:25 love watching all the big guys give there all
Nice one 😉
crazy plays
Fire intro
Amazing
Few better feelings in sports than getting coach hype over your hustle play
You know it is a great play when even the cameraman can't keep track of the ball!!!

Love your videos but Michigan lining up in a straight line before eventually breaking into formation and running a normal play is not a trick play.
FSU shut that down when they played Michigan in the 2017 Orange Bowl.
Agreed🤝
Facts
Not even a clever play
It's a formation that fools no one on the defense because they just line up in a regular formation.
My team was in here but on the good end of a play. Bless.
The ribs sweating after them punters be running in tds

There's a reason we only see those trick plays in College. In the NFL 95% of those plays, the ball carrier would get blasted.
And yet, statue of liberty, fumblerooskie, double reverse, and countless other trick plays have worked in the NFL.

I was at that game. That ball was caught by the then would be future nfl star and Superbowl champ Demaryius Thomas (RIP)

the field is 10x bigger
Haha football bad hockey good amirite ya ole poutine eh sorry lookin ass
One of the first
Nice

Not showing 2001 Nebraska or the 1983 "Fumblerooski" is just an injustice.
Isn't 11:57 just a play-action pass? Where's the "trick"?
did I miss fumblerooski? One of the best plays ever!
At 12:00 that was a regular play-action, so how is that a trick play? But I loved this video. Awesome to see trickery 😬
0:40 that is just genius
Seeing these trick plays makes me feel bad for the defence cos they’re defenceless against it 😂 No pun intended

Some of these are really crazy, others are just ordinary trick plays.
Damn #1 rule is listen for the whistle, plays not over till you hear it

Georgia Tech has more passing yards and TDs through trick plays than they get just playing normally.
