    I sure wish the ZR2 came long bed + crew cab! I'm gonna have to make peace with a short bed, because the DSSVs and crew cab are a must for me. Maybe I can find a mattress that allows me to lay diagonally in the bed when camping. 😂

    really nice build. the step popping out is cool, but you don't have rock sliders, but I doubt you would need them you don't seem like the type of guy that would tear his truck up anyway. I like to have a capable build, but I don't do the crazy stuff in it, I like to keep it looking good. I have a 21 zr2 . I have done a little to it. a small lift, larger tires, and the factory performance ball spline half shafts. I will keep it for 20 yrs. or more. I believe this body style will become more in demand as people realize the new Colorado body they are building now don't have the Baja body lines. your truck sets and looks really good. you should be proud if it.

    • @nathanielegbert
      @nathanielegbert  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you for your story and your truck info. I think they will to. It will be a classic truck. You’re right. I like camping and exploring, but I won’t beat it. It’s my trophy. I don’t care who gives me a hard time lol, I won’t beat it. I think mine will stay with me a while. Only reason I would sell is if someone really wanted it and had deep pockets. But most won’t put this kind of money in a midsize truck. You don’t get your money back usually.

      Hey thanks a lot for the compliment. I’m not entirely sure. What I do know is the person who bought it originally had custom ordered these specs based on their utility base model. So the carpet, windows, and I think the side door were add ons. I snagged it from Craigslist for $800. It’s been really useful in the winters and for travel.

    Hey bud! Sweet build. I don’t understand the delete though 😢 I have been running mine since 2016 with zero issues. Also, a tip on protecting your back seats, I lay the back rest down. It provides a completely flat surface for loading and unloading; plus the back of the back rest uses the same carpet as the floor. This also provides better vision while looking out of the back window. I hope to see some cool adventure videos in the future. Cheers 🍻

    • @fabes326
      @fabes326 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Delete is the way to go. You are a lucky one who hasn’t had issues with DEF on your 2016. It’s not fun when the injector goes bad, or the pump freezes up due to the temps. Being a few hundred miles from home and you get the message “71 miles until your speed is reduced to 65mph”. Then after the 71 miles is up it says “71 miles until speed is reduced to 55 mph”.

      I’ve had full size diesels and I like them a lot. But, it wasn’t right for me. I like going on trails and be in the snow. The big trucks sink a no other. Plus they are much wider. The Colorados are awesome for daily driving and parking down town and grocery stores. I wanted the zR2 bison, but I wanted the long box when I have kids and haul bikes and gear. So I got the z71 crew cab long box. I spent a few years saving and building it. I guess it could be seen as flaunting, but I’m proud of the end result and the endless amount of hours I put in at work to afford it. I wish I could say im a baller lol.
