    Refrigerators you can cycle on and off every 3 hour's, they are well insulated. Also most newer furnaces have a ecm blower motor 80 to 100 watts. I haven't look to see what the inducer motor pulls but that need to be factored in.

    What up Doe Mr ARJ
    Very nice demo of the Solix F3800 during a winter storm blackout. I would like to see a similar demo with the extra battery during a summer blackout with dual AC running.
    Also! I would have a few loads of wood and the generator set up by the back door as soon as I saw a half inch of snow on the ground 😂
    Great vid👍🏼

      Thanks! For AC I only have the 4ton with a soft start. It will run it easy but length of time wont be for long. We could revisit in the spring or summer tho to see. Yeah we usually have a good 4ft X 8ft stack on the back patio for winter but never got to it lol. I also have an old military 5kw diesel genny but its in the driveway on a pallet. I bought some caster wheels for it but would like to make a little frame or "trailer" to move it to the back yard. Maybe here soon 🙄😆

    This stuff is great except I can't afford any of it. Great demo of how it can work and thanks for going to all the trouble to share it with us. I'm up to the place you started almost. The place my son works at threw away an APC Smart-UPS 1500. It said the battery was at end of life. I connected my Life Power 4 24v battery to it and now I can have back up for my PC and etc. Still hoping someday to get a winning lottery ticket. That's hard to do since I quit playing after I retired back in 2009. I still keep my gas generator in running condition in case we get another Polar Vortex. Stay safe!

    excellent video. not sure why this is first video on a power station that i’ve ever seen (and i’ve seen tons) that actually acts out a power outage. great job. question, if i want to connect an lp generator to this duevto a possible longer outage (we have no option for solar due to trees), what is the best way to hook it up? have you heard of the eg4 chargeverter?

    • @AveRage_Joe
      @AveRage_Joe  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you very much! I do this sim with pretty much all the systems I get that are capable. I hear everyone say and or talk about it but they never do it. Yeah Ive heard of the charge verter and would love to get one. That would be the best option because the DC side is up to 2400w and AC is 1800w. The other thing I could think of is if you didnt have the charge verter, connect the genny up like I did to power your loads and then also plug in the power station to charge it back up(if generator allows such a load). Thanks again, appreciate the comment.

    Excellent video! Not very many of the folks reviewing these products really show how you might use them if they're ever needed. The reality of choosing which loads to power and which ones to stop using for a while is something that is very hard to appreciate until you're in that situation. There is a very real sense of anxiety, seeing that battery percentage dropping. Also, having an auxiliary heating option is absolutely critical for anyone relying on electricity to meet that need, or even help meet that need, as in your case.

    • @AveRage_Joe
      @AveRage_Joe  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks Man! Thats why I like to do these type of videos. You just never know. In a real situation and no other source of power......Id hate to look at the %SOC screen. 100% should have an alt source of heat especially if you live in an area like here. Crazy how cold it got without the wind chill. I would also close off most of the house so I could heat a smaller area which would use less energy.

    Another good video. You definitely do not like it cold in your house 71 degrees wow. I love the idea of battery backup but this kind of shows one of my concerns. These device currently only give you so much power for the price. It’s a nice option but several 9-10kw generators will run pretty long as long as you have cheap gas or propane. Many times when there are power issues it’s in a situation where solar just isn’t going to be a great option to keep things going.
    Awesome video!

    • @AveRage_Joe

    A mega Chinese battery company. Anker, gives you a free 5k generator. Imagine they've give out hundreds of these. Im not sure this is a fair review. yeah these things are cool, especially the Ecoflow Ultra, but in reality you need a gas, diesel, or propane generator for any long term needs...more than a day a two. Get a duel fuel, run it on propane, and you won't have the problem of gas sitting for a long time. Imagine, you buy a predator, Westinghouse, or champion 12500 duel fuel for 1500 max. Done. These power stations are just a shiny object. Good for Van Life, I own two Ecoflows, but they are not serious for home backup.

    Something important to note is that if you need to turn the breaker off for the furnace to save power, don't turn a gas furnace off while it's running. You can see right away the major drawback of this unit is the low capability of solar!
    To me, that makes this thing worthless! There are much better options out there.
    I do own two of the Anker 767’s which I like a lot, but they’re somewhat limited in solar also, but for my use they work for what I need.
    I’d be curious if you can even run a load of clothes in the dryer with this thing, as an hour would need 6 kW ?

      Yep one of the drawbacks is the low voltage on the solar for sure. I am wondering if they did it that way to also please the RV or Van crowd since most use 12v panels. Lower voltage makes it easier for portability. If its going to be a full home backup all the time and not moved, need at least 150v.

    Why not just plug your 48 volt battery into the pv feed.

    Will these sponsored garbage videos ever end?

      @@AveRage_Joe Yup, would have thought that was obvious from the ridiculously widespread backlash a mere 10 days ago over the sponsored and completely scripted EcoFlow Infomercial everyone posted. I Didn't even bother watching yours because I didn't want to have to permanently block your channel. Guess I am past that now. The TH-cam product review model has become so corrupt I could watch the scammy rare collectable coin dealer on TV all day and still feel less dirty! Good luck to you, I will be sorry to have missed your DIY battery and other cool projects if you ever get back to them.

      Oh thats to bad you didnt watch. I dont do scripts. I just go over all the specs and features and then show all the things about it. Test it out powering different loads as I usually do. No scripts needed. The companies want everyone to release on the same day to flood TH-cam to get everyone interested and talking about. I could see how that could be annoying but if you like a certain person or channel then you watch the content...or wait a few days and its on to the next.
      For my channel it seems most people watch the big TH-cam channels and buy from them. Then once they get the product they dont know how to use it since the Big channel glosses over that. They come here to see how to use it. At least thats what Ive observed.🤷‍♂️

      @@AveRage_Joe No reason to watch when you have seen the same product reviewed by DOZENS of other TH-camrs. As for it being scripted or not, I know you were required to cover all the same points and bogus claims EVERYONE else did. I am 100% positive you did not receive a different contract from all the rest. You can call it whatever you like but in the end the sponsor calls the shots and EcoFlow made that very clear this last go round. You can put lipstick on a pig but it's still just a pig. Myself personally, I would know how to use the product long before I bought it. Therefore no need to keep coming back to your channel and watching this sponsored garbage at every turn. Selling out is selling out...all there is to it. The system is not going to change because the TH-cam model for product reviews is far too corrupt at this point. Nobody wants to go back to a real job with actual responsibilities as well as losing all their free swag. You should have just said no to EcoFlow, Anker etc... and stayed true to your original content. It's the reason I started and kept watching your channel. You would have kept my respect and viewership. Good luck to you and adios.
