Russia will probably take a Western journalist hostage and claim espionage, then exchange them with the ship Captain at a later date. It shows the mentality of the Russian politicians. Even more ruthless and corrupt. Just because Russia may be correct on a few issues is meaningless. A broken clock is still right twice a day.

It said the casoline is worth 20 Million Euros.
This is BS if the ground had been fouled by old anchor chain attached to old hawser wire no ship captain would risk dragging his anchor over this?
Russia claims not to be involved, forgetting that it directly threatened Finland with "consequences" if it joined NATO.
You can't make threats and then feign ignorance when someone accuses you of following up on the threats.
Wow that was quick. So who blew up the pipe line?
Given this is directed from Moscow, I'm sure those in charge have no concern at all what happens to the ship, the crew or the cargo, they are cheap compared to the damage done. So what can be done that actually hurts Moscow?
Seems like Ukrainian drones are doing some significant damage inside Russia 😂
Cargo in that vessel is 30000 tons of unleaded gasoline not oil.
Sooooo....you cant tell when youre dragging an anchor ?
PUTIN:This was just a cable tension special operation.
Kudos to Finland and shame on NATO!!! 🦘🦘🦘
sell their boat to pay for damages n
Maritime Law needs to be updated against this terrorism
How is it that our side can so quickly and thoroughly investigate this but not the Nordstream II pipeline sabotage? Not at all meaning to implicate the United States in that act of international criminality, just curious. That's all.
It is so much easier find out, when you use anchor than timed explosives. Beside. Nordstreams was useless anyway, because Germany wont buy russian gas because of Ukraine.
It's easier to follow a pattern once the pattern is established. That said, there's no missing your pro-Russian disingenuousness, Serf.
@@oleeb NOTHING WRONG with implicating US with so many indicators pointing in its direction!
Be careful of which friends you trust. 😏
The cable is "marked" globally, the ships are continuously tracked globally and evil people know that blocking communication is the ultimate key to winning a conflict. I don't know what is considered an act of war in this jellyfish, spineless world we live in, but someone needs too grow a pair.
Someone did. Europe. In their brains. Utterly obsessed morons.
But not you kid eh!
Keep it, scrap it, it is yours
Maritime laws need updating all right!! ALL SHIPS, need to be REQUIRED, to be registered to the NATION the owners HQ is located in. and no more shell companies. If one is caught cheating?? those who discover the fraud, can TAKE the vessel!! Thus it's SELF policing!!!
Ah you mean like the American ship that got taken twice eh kid , wow did mommy not teach you to think!
This is not an accident. The captain knows the anchor was supposed to be all the way up. The only way to get to the cable was to drag it and that's what they was doing.
Clearly an act of war.
Agree!

That’s laughable, you can’t accidentally drop an anchor and let the whole scope of chain and then sail twelve miles before you notice it. The continuous noise for one thing of that whole length of chain running out of the hawse pipe 🤣
Definitely done intentionally
The ends of the cables tell the story. If the ends appear ripped apart as if pulled apart, then most likely it was a hook shaped object like an anchor that did the damage. If the ends of the cables are clean cut , then the cables were probably cut with a hydraulic or air powered underwater saw.
The only form of retribution in this circumstance, is in economic sanctions.
Yes keep it up so the US continues to lose reserve currency status. You won't like the effects of that buddy 😉
@@prolific1518 - Ooooohh... we're really scared. The US dollar makes up more global foreign exchange reserves than all other currencies COMBINED. You really think sanctions on Russia affect that in any way? What the heck does Russia produce except oil and weapon sales to dictators? Russia's economy isn't even a drop in the world's bucket. Nobody trades in Rubles, or even in Chinese Renmenbi. About 90% of all trade is conducted in dollars and euros.

criminal procedings - when will they start against the culprit who destroyed Nord Stream?
just ban every shadow fleet in the baltic
Shadow mean not insured in London.
Severing enemy communications is a military tactic as old as humanity itself. Why would this be a surprise to anyone? Doing so is a criminal act, whether 'intentional' or not, but you can bet it was intentional, nonetheless!
Absolute BS.
Assertions made without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.
Evidence is abundant here. Bad for this ship and crew.
Luckily the police have evidence, it's just not being shared publicly at this time.
Also whether you dismiss the claims is irrelevant.
Finland 🎯💪🏻🫂🇺🇲
Immediate changes in local Maritime Law (Finland & Estonia) should be imminent. The first act should be to extend their maritime territory to the full international limit and close the courtesy "Innocent Passage lane" that Russia has been abusing so grossly. That would allow them to inspect every suspicious ship passing through, which is just a beginning.
They know exactly whose anchor caused the damage to the cable, but we have know idea who blew up the north stream pipeline, not a clue, not a clue 🤔
@@DonnellChester-xd7yg For now
The Russians blew it up themselves! Oh wait no it was the Ukranians! ok let's just stay quiet and maybe everybody will forget about it.
Good grief, buy a clue. Its TOTAL BS!
Well it's kinda easy to see the ship missing all anchor and a several miles long drag mark along the sea bed along the path they moved so... Yeah, it actually is pretty simple to know exactly which ship caused this. Unless you somehow find this complex? Oh wait, you just wanted to indulge in conspiracy theories, my bad, carry on.
@@CorporalCookie So YOU, personally, saw it?
keep the oil to help pay the fix
identify, sue for damages and make them PAY...!

Sweden and Finland needs to put up barriers underwater to catch anchor dragging.
Why are the using under water cables still? Do we not have satellites for everything now?
@@Jo-sp5cp satellites are slower than fiber and can't transfer electricity
@@IsoMacintoshso one has to ask the point of starlink?
@@Jo-sp5cp To provide internet to places without fiber or other better forms of connectivity.
starlink is way slower and unreliable than fiber.
Google suggests that only 40-50 percent of US households have access to fiber, so there's many people who find starlink to be faster and cheaper than their previous satellite internet.
Nord Stream may have been a consequence of a similar miscalculated act.
Why isn't the shadow fleet prevented from sailing. They are illegal vessels.
W.T.F are you going to do about it kid from your bedroom!

Cables in the Baltic- and North sea should be fitted out with sensors (vibration, movement) and International maritime law should prohibit dragging anything! in certain zones mapped on the oceanic maps. In certain routes (like in the Baltic sea) shipping routes could be enforced and monitored (like in the sky, like in shallow waters). If we want to, we can protect our infrastructure. If we create laws, we must be ready to enforce them.
how would NATO react if a satellite was shot out of space by russia? oh yah things would be a lot different but i don't see how this is any less an offence
That would work as long everyone abide by the laws😊
And once you receive the alarm and Russia cuts the cable or destroys a pipeline. You do nothing ! I don't think Russia is afraid of you striking back !
WE? lol you mean when it suits us? Like when we want to commit terrorism and blow up a pipeline, that's A-OK, right?

Hell that can be seen on ship tracker app.
Prosecutions required!!!!!!!!!
*Executions.
International body never properly investigated and punished those responsible for North Streem pipelines destruction. We opened a Pandora's box.
I think they are still busy finalising the Nordstream crimes. You'll have to wait.
I wonder if it might be possible to bury these cables using some kind of trenching device. You just need to put them in a trench deeper than the trench caused by an anchor drag or trawler net to avoid accidental incidents. Intentional incidents are much more difficult to impossible to prevent (like this one?)
How about simpler methods like not blowing up pipelines resulting in no payback kid!
