I like how this doesn't have hardly any spill. And as you know, the design of this light does that on purpose. The spill is technically wasted light on a thrower, but the tech this torch uses gathers as much light as it can and concentrates it. This light and flood headlamp would go great together.
I definitely enjoyed this review, thank you so much for such a comprehensive review! I have been looking for a dedicated thrower, but I absolutely agree this has too much of a hot spot for me and not enough spill haha. Have you found a light that is extremely similar but with just a bit more spill?
@@CharlesBridgTec oh wow! The beams way better for sure! It's a bigger flashlight than I'm looking for though. The acebeam p16 seems decent-ish but isn't what I want either. I'll definitely be looking into nitecores other products as well. Any other brands your recommend?
What a great light, never saw just a 150 lumen setting throw like that, I think a 5000 mah 21700 woulda been nice in it and not make it but a tad bigger, very good light, can tell you were impressed.
I just ordered one of these and the L19. Can't wait to see them in person. I got the L16 but I'm sending it back. The tail switch didn't work and I didn't like the multiple rings around the beam disbursement perimeter. The L16 has amazing throw, but I'm hoping this is more to my liking. Just gettin into this review so we'll see. 50 bucks on Amazon today
@@redacted547 The L17 is a great thrower for its size. The down sides to it are that it only has a tail switch, and you have to remove the battery to charge it. If neither of those are an issue for you, then you probably aren't going to find a better thrower for $50.
Nice...but what is it in the distance about 12:31...looks like a long pair of legs moving white colour....about tree height..probably accidentally shot something supernatural
Great review, just wondering is the button suppose to click ? I just got one and the power button doesn't click in like other fladhlights. I haven't tested if it turns on yet as just put battery on charge.
As an example of what’s possible it’s great. But what would be the practice purpose of this or any EDC thrower? It’s undoubtedly an impressive talking piece, but who is this for?

Hello again Mr. BridgTec. I've been looking at compact throwers of late and was wondering if the L17 is the current King of that category? Your mic went terribly low on this review, and then (speaker warning) welcome back!!!!~~~ ... I also missed the meter distances on each shot which I am used to for information purposes; you usually label them on screen as well? The night shots seemed a bit short, perhaps rushed this time so the content suffered to B- this time. Usually your reviews are a solid A- (would be A to A+ but the wilderness jokes were only funny the first couple of times to me; and I am sorry to be an unfunny stick in the mud about it, and I don't wanna burst your tag line (inside joke?) that has helped make you semi-famous (or infamous) in the flashlight world depending who you ask about it haha; sometimes I think it gets kind of corny but to each his own, I still like your channel and the content you provide. I also voted for you in the banggood top social media influencer contest, haha. I'm also a big fan of Acebeam as well. In response to the L17, I like it as a pure pocket thrower. Personally I love the T27 the best when talking about size & throw trade-off (I even modded three of 'em with different tint & CRI LEDs. The glue was hard to remove and can 50/50 chance destroy the tube if you are not extremely careful and lucky, I lost 2 out of 4 tubes but have swap head ability now). Anyhow this is still a awesome rocket for the price, size, and portability. The W10 was nice but heard it was discontinued. Heard there will bea W40 so we'll see. I admit, I am a bit jealous of all the free flashlights you get (haha), and I've been subscribed still for like 3+ years at least... Have a good one Charles!

Depends what your use of the light is for. I don’t have the W30 but from the video reviews I’ve seen... no thanks it’s not a practical use light. The L17 is at the upper limits of what your naked eye (20/20) can see before losing ID recognition at farther distances.
