This is definitely one of the best lights on the market for the price size, quality and output. Honestly the turbo runtimes are very impressive vs. Many others. I'm getting around 2 minutes of turbo with it being cold in Massachusetts now 1 minute easy when it was hot.
No Charles. You have the BETTER special BLUE version. SFT25-R 1,400 Lumen rated 1. Yours has 200 lumens less than the “TN led 1,600 lumen” version. BUT yours has a way brighter, more focused beam netting you 28,000 candela SFT25-R vs the 8,000 candela from the TN led. You have the better 1.
Specs say 23104 candela. Just literally bought it on Amazon for only $27.48 out the door. Only thing I wish is that it had a magnet but I don’t know where they would put it
Dang I was super interested in this light until you got to the point that it wouldn’t run on AA batteries. I am bad about forgetting to charge my light over the weekend and it dying on me at work. It’s nice to be able to walk back to the work van and slap an AA in my light and keep going. Currently carrying either the Streamlight Protac 1L-1AA or the Thrunight Saber for that reason. Plus as you said for an extended power outage it would be nice to be able to use AA as a backup.
Are you saying the 1400 lumen one does not come with a 14100 battery? That doesn't make sense? You said in the video you can run the one in the review off 2 14500 batteries? Can you please double check this. Thank you!@@CharlesBridgTec
Charles, the blue one you have there is the longer throw version. It has 1400 lumen. The 1600 lumen ones have a wider hot spot with less throw. At least that's my understanding. Love your reviews BTW!
It definitely runs on 2 aa batteries i have 2 and they work with 2 aa 's . I have not tried two 14500 batteries yet and Im hoping it works. Is that light a newer model than mine? Maybe they made different versions? I will definitely try out 2 14500 and every aa battery and come back with the results. Awesome video.
I think I found the replacement to my Fenix PD-36. I love the two way clips since I like to clip my lights to my ball cap when am doing some work outside while it is dark. Both of my hands are free for work. The two way clip is very convenient. Another great demonstration Charles. Thank you The nitecore does not have a two way clips.
Yes sir you definitely got the best color too! I love this version!

Was this actually the SFT25R emitter or was it the TN one?
The Luminus. My sample was a very early and was not informed of the LED in the manual at the time of the recording. Thanks for watching!

Great video as usual, sir. Love the fact that it takes everyday batteries. Might get a few and stash them around the house for backup lighting.
