I never get tired of the genuine excitement you get from catching fish. I could hear your voice quiver as you were talking to Denny to get over to you to help. It’s nice to know there’s other catfish geeks out there and I’m not the only weirdo. 🤣
Im right there with you bud, catfish is my favorite and followed by walleyes close second .. But its very addicting once you set the hook on a giant flathead, and when you set the hook the pole doesnt move cause fish pulling back

13:23 "How much money you got?" absolute comedy, EXACTLY what I would say to anyone I was fishing with! Another great video man, keep em coming and keep landing the big bois. I'm actually pleasantly surprised you were able to get that first one out of that tree. I think you nailed it when you said you'd be screwed if Denny wasn't there. Not to mention the carp...... what?!?!?!
Lol. You drop line next to the nastiest piles of dead trees you can find and act surprised when you get a fish tangled up. I saw it coming before I even clicked on the video. Your the best lol
Guide Denny for the win. LoL Was out on the Mississippi fishing back islands where there's current and found a bunch of stumps. Instead of bass, tons of 20lbs flatheads occupying them instead to ambush bluegills. You should give that a whirl sometime. Site fishing for cats. It was ton of fun watching them engulf 5 inch sucker minnows.
Man that was so freaking awesome that you were able get that cat outta that predicament you were in .. And to boot he was a stud of a fish ... I absolutely love this channel and your adventures you get your self into .. Keep up bustin jaws and rippin lips brotha... Tight Lines
I watch all your videos👏 keep them coming. How come you dont use the pivot drive pedal system? I know you have the electric motor just figured pivot drive would be better than paddle.
Always love to see Denny on the water plenty of sledging going on so always going to a good video ! And you saved Denny a pair of socks so he owes you big time
l'm surprised you don't take Denny along more often. where you are sticking your baits, you need a crane to get them out lol. if Denny caught fish would you show it or just his troubles lol. stay safe.
Happy 4th my friend. Great save in that brush pile. Reminds me of how we used to noodle those piles when I was younger. Pretty dangerous actually. I use 8ft muskie rods and hundred pound mono when I fish those piles. Basically a pool cue with a wench on it lol. Setting fifteen ft cottonwood poles around the edges at night works kickass as well if your just wanting to fill the freezer. Great vid as usual. Keep your powder dry.
That was sweet man cant believe you got that flathead in! My buddy and I went exploring today down the sangamon river here in central Illinois I lost more tackle than I ever have was a struggle today on average how many hooks and sinkers do you lose on a trip just curious I set a record today
@@RiverCertified not sure if you watch captain Scott manning with wicked outdoor adventures his clients were sporting the river certified shirts on his new video
Dude, you need to come over to Europe, like France, Spain or Italy and fish for 8ft long and 200lbs european catfish (silurus glanis)! You gonna like that!
I would of taken a swim definitely! I can't do anything in my yak without it about start rolling. You make it look easy, just like pulling those fish out of the middle of the junk..Impressive!
One of the best catches I ever seen you always here the great Anglers say that's were there at . But your the first one I seen go in for them like that
Why do you use big reels for the kayak and small reels on the bank if you are using more line casting than you are dropping the bait straight or almost straight down?
Ok, so what are you doing with your baits that are rigged between spots? In the boat I drop them back in the livewell or bucks of water. Im guessing if you are only fishing a few minutes a spot you don't waste them. Im going to try more daytime tight quarters fishing for them next summer. I always fish them night time now. I've only caught a few daytime. But have lots of 7 plus fish nights so I stick with what's working. They absolutely hammer live baits here, they always crush them and make a long fast run. Maybe that's because they're stacked up in the holes im fishing. Anyhow just curious on the bait question. Thanks, tight lines!
I usually just let em dangle in the water. Gotta watch out for sticks, and its honestly probably not smart, but I guess I've made it this far without flipping. Have had a few close calls though.

As long as you catch them on rod and reel you can, based on my understanding of the laws

They're my favorite to edit for sure 👍
It seems like every time you fish a log jam during the day you always catch a big fish what percent would you say you catch when you fish a log jam
Definitely under 10%. Probably under 5% tbh
Oh so you fish log jams off video that’s why it looks like you catch so much
That logjam fish was EPIC! Is it wrong I so enjoy watching others navigate over log jammage? I think not.
I like to think of it as adventure, or torture 😆 either can be attention catching haha

I wish he had more time to go. I'd definitely show it. Hopefully next time he gets one.
And you didn’t have to swim for it like the Stache Stain! Great catch out of that snag!
Thankfully I didn't have to. That current was definitely risky. Thank you!!

Really glad you do!
I,m on the upper Mississippi river and live on it with my own boat dock and consider myself a river rat . Pool 6 rocks !
