Forts is a physics-based RTS where foes design and build custom bases, arm them to the teeth and blast their opponent's creations to rubble.
Build an armoured fort in real-time and arm it to the teeth. Collect resources, develop your tech-tree, unlock advanced weapons to target your opponent's weak points, and feel the satisfaction as their fort comes crashing down.

Incursus, once you finish the ‘how to rush’ series, can you do a ‘how to counter a rush’ series? This is for when we find ourselves on the returning end of a rush. Pls do this. Then the next series will be ‘how to counter a counter to your rush’
Maybe an atom cannon rush, although I don’t think you can rush atom cannons
AP sniper
Machineguns and maybe a flak to counter missiles, energy shield to counter lasers, woodspam, angled armor and snipers to counter cannons, T4 artillery: roof armor, sandbags
The armoury and flak mainly open to more flexible gameplan. But he teach rush for 3 reasons.
First it's easier. You are always doing the same things on a given map. You just focus on your timing and you dont need to change much according to your opponent strat (maybe a door or two, were to put metal or fire some good snipêr shot).
Second, it's more hi style. He tend to approach the game we the mentality "Wich weapon do I want to see this game". And chosing a good rush for the map you are playing makes you a good player atm.
Last missile are a bad exemple but you can still devellop a game plan after the rush. And if you are good with a sniuper you can apply decent pressure during your weapon setup. Rushing doesnt have inherent weakness that's skill wont fix.
As with any RTS, The best and only realistic way of learning how to counter a strategy is to learn how to use the strategy you wish to counter. Until you become familiar and experienced with the strengths and weaknesses of a tactic, you'll not be effective at wielding those weaknesses against it. What tips or guidance I can give in terms of counters, will be lost an a player who doesn't know the strategies. If a player knows the strategies, extra guidance is very rarely needed, and just about never long enough for a video.
Making a video on such tips and tricks designed for persons who will never listen to them? Now that's something I could do.

As a note, modern nuclear missiles have a similar function to the swarm/warhead grouping you've mentioned where they have a number of fake warheads in swarms around or near the actual warhead, the technical term is 'penetration aid.' Or 'penaid' if you're afraid of the TH-cam algorithm

If you place your second missile first, wouldn't that make the missiles come out faster bc you could upgrade while the close missile is building?
You can missplace it and then you have to rebuild it.

@@Ethan-rz6cx You upgrade the far one because the near one is supposed to tank the hits. If the near one is your nuke, it's much more likely to be destroyed, and you lose a lot of damage.

Forts is still on my wishlist. I've never played myself, but have probably seen most of your videos on it. If I ever get into multi, I'm going to wet myself if you end up on the other team.
I always feel kinda bad when he's playing against a fan and because he is recording he just has to ignore them and turn their base to rubble

@@havardmj lol if you think RTS is all about luck try playing some Stacraft. Any decent player will beat you 100% of the time, absolutely no luck involved
@@snakerman2612 did i ever state that i think RTS is about luck? I said it's rock paper scissors. Meaning lots of strategy involved. I've been playing lots of RTS, not SC cuz i think it sucks, but age of empires and C&C generals. The comparison to me means everything has a counter, and RTS is a lot about using those counters to outplay your opponent. Just like rock paper scissors.
Also, "Age of empires and C&C generals" are probably the worst games ever made lmaaaaao bruh that's so embarrassing
It's better to upgrade the front missile first to make rush faster. You can always fire the 2 manually to have swarm tank for nuke.
If you can learn how to do the shot at 20:05 consistently, you'll win against anyone who doesn't do double box woodspam. And let's you get a cannon. I I haven't ever seen someone survive that shot. Amazing.

Information is power. Denying information for your enemy, even if the information you're denying is completely mundane, is important. A lack of information can lead your enemy to erroneous conclusions, which is good for you.

This series of rush vidz had me wonder if AP Snipers would be a possible valid rush. It actually is, but dependent upon map, it may be wise to keep the tech and economy progressing, just in case three APs don't cut it. I may attest that it is frustrating for an opponent when every expensive weapon placed is sniped, time after time. Choose right Commander for most effective results.
That is a thing? I have never seen it happen against me. I might try it though, it sounds like a fun skill challenge

You know what'd be wild to see? Swinging your core into your allies base, letting it just sit there and using your spot as nothing more than a weapons/eco platform. Armor the utter hell out of the position with 2 or more cores.
You can't build near or interact with teammate's bases.
If you're playing coop, then it's possible, but it still requires the opposing team to not know how to play the game. Generally, noob bashing isn't great content.
@@Incursus Hm, I guess so. I didn't know you can't even build near a teammates base, though. It might not work at all if you can't even attach yourself near their base.
I direly want to see someone play where with Tanyas mod and work with the other team to make a cauldron filled with penguins and then release them straight onto the core and see if penguins can actually kill a core.
go to "smash gaming" and ask him. He always plays against his friends, and he's dying for any kind of "new content." I'm sure you idea counts :p
He can Cover it Up to Fake swarms and try to force people into spending Ressources for AA. All He spend was a penny for the sightblocker.
So it makes Sense If you do that every game. If it throws people off their Gameplan sometimes and they build AA, you have a Ressource lead, if they dont Care you didnt loose much at all
can you show of some really strange/ trolling strats that aren't necessarily tryhard but just funny? I don't know any strats that fulfill that requirement but I bet you do.. would really like to see that.

I feel like you should have built your swarms starting at the back so you can upgrade the back one while the first is building.. faster rush?
Making your opponents question your stuff is a good idea in any fight.
Hey i got one question.
Why do you dont build the last Missile launcher first?
Then its done when the second one is building up and you can upgrade it.
This are just 10 sec saving in time but at an rush this can be enough.
You always wait for the behind one to finish but got Ressources for the upgrade.

Doing that wastes resources. The nodes that are built cost more than the defenses.

It seems like your nuke is getting less dog bc it’s inside swarm. It might be better for a small delay so swarm hits then nuke will do more.
