You've gotten a lot of people to pick up Forts (myself included). Would it be possible to make a video demonstrating tips and tricks and highlighting a lot of the mistakes new players tend to make? For instance, I had no idea connecting to the ground cost additional resources, and that was incredibly useful to know!

For a slower rush what you can do is using the machine gun post to put a EMP rocket or a Flak it only cost 200 metal and it forces the opponant to defend against it (the machine gun of the start is not a problem because you can shoot it with the cannon once it opens and it will rip the fort in half)

I wonder if cannons should have some recoil to force us bracing them. I think it would be an interesting drawback to deal with; e.g. it would be dangerous to put them at the top of towers.
He switches between grid and non-grid building so he can use the build grid as a reference without actually building aligned to the grid. Sometimes he probably just guesses from knowing from experience, but the grid is the easiest way to tell. You can see this at 2:12 (he extends the block and manually builds so that the nodes are 2 and a half away vertically).
Can you please do a video where you only use machine guns (you can do it with upgrade mods too) I just want to see a base torn apart by a million miniguns
Recent subscriber here, just wanted to say you really have potential. Your technical commentary is great but you could improve your color commentary. There are lots of small flourishes you can do to build hype and engagement for the audience. Look at MilkAndCookiesTW's content for an example of what I mean.
OrangeMC it’s more about efficiency. When you max it out you are technically losing any resources that you could be making in that time. You can always be building something, always be improving some aspect of your gameplay, so sitting on your hands is just throwing resources. For most games it doesn’t actually matter, but if it were two people of equal skill qualities, whoever acts the most would win.

You really don't seem to believe in armouring your roof even when your enemies are above you and firing at it? The front of your base gets 5+ lays of armour, but even when the enemy is on top of you firing at your roof for minutes a single layer of background bracing seems to be your armour strategy.
I was fucking phenomenal at the game, not one of the best but one of the better to say the least so why tf did I watch this video 4 years later when I already know how to fucking rush, what is wrong with me
these tuts literally never work, i do everything exactly as these videos, have tried so many and not once have i not been instantly shot at and my base died, either its from colliding although the video says "oh this bracing will prevend collapse" or from just instantly being shot into the core and loosing all protection although again the video saying "oh do some bacing here and some metal there so noone can shoot anything" which never works against anything, wow
