Forts is a physics-based RTS where foes design and build custom bases, arm them to the teeth and blast their opponent's creations to rubble.
Build an armoured fort in real-time and arm it to the teeth. Collect resources, develop your tech-tree, unlock advanced weapons to target your opponent's weak points, and feel the satisfaction as their fort comes crashing down.

I feel like top guy could have easily suppressed that with a few snipers while his buddy was getting pounded.

Its a shame but most team mates in this game do nothing.
AP Snipers are super powerful against someone that is locked on to your teammate. You can even place them in a position where the other player's teammate cannot fire back at it (it can only see downward or upward toward the other base, or straight across).
I would be yelling at my team so hard

The flak doesnt hurt them it just makes them sad

It demoralizes the enemy to the point of selling off there bases
this looks like it's not fun for both sides: you just keep shooting until enemy is dead, even in voice you seem bored, and your enemy has nothing to do besides watching his long, painfull death.

This must have been so annoying and irritating to them keep repairing repairing repairing over and over again.
Adding a 20mil would really make this strategy more painful for the target. And you would only need to click the 20 once every couple mins. And you would still be able to micro the flak.
Just seeing the title, the thought of AP Flak... it gives me nightmares.

Since I see you aren’t using overdrive all that much... you could swap him out for shockanawe (however you spell her name) and Fire 4 at once! And maybe get some lucky barrels.

I'd imagine theyd be centered more if he aimed them individually towards the same spot and then had them fire all at once. Instead they're firing straight from where they are so are spread from the start it looks like.
They are like mini 20 mm cannons kinda useless but also very annoying at the same time

Yup, increase the rate of fire and make it a bit more accurate to make them worth using as a flak, but make the passive heat dissipation extremely slow, so you shoot them hot and let them cool down. Keeps them useful, but leaves some actual counterplay options for the opponent.

It might sound counter-intuitive but would you consider making a video for science on building a 'tank' base that just takes hits from any weapons. Full defensive turtle mode?
So, this is a bit late, but there's technically a way to do it.
So, what you do is cover the front of your base with portals, link all the portals together. Typical return to senders. Costs a lot of energy, but defends against lasers and cannons and such.
Them you need to put an extension onto your base and put down a load of flack and machine gunners.
And now you have a fully tanked base, theoretically capable of taking any hit that will come through, and shooting down the ones which you can't take. Now, with good sniping an a couple of howitzers an opponent can shoot enough of your anti air for a howitzer to land, and then your portals die and they can follow up with a plasma laser and a firebeam, which will cut through your base, and you die anyway. Also works with missile's, but howitzers take a lot more hits, and thus are more consistent.
That shit is so toxic that cyanide would be proud of it ;-;

no lie in the second match i was pissed off the fact that the top base on team 2 was doing NOTHING to help his team mate like come on dude fire something that can stop incurses( not that i wanted incursus to lose).

Not the biggest fan of this honestly, it’s kind of an unfun strategy
well people say rushing cannons is unfair sooo
To be fair a lot of winning strategies in forts don't look fun because there isn't much of a way to come back. First person to deploy a game winning weapon, whatever that is at the moment, tends to win. In this case we have a gun that offers strong early pressure, but could be countered by counter-fire. It also takes a long time, giving allies a chance to help you out.
I don't use these because they're unfair and people don't want to play.... says the guy using them two rounds in a row...lol
He plays 100s of games a week. If he used them 5 games in a row he still would barely be using them at all.
