Ochkanatlan reminds of Stormterror's layer and the aerial Pew Pew combat with Dvalin. Purple Dvalin with fire instead of wind bombs. The new companion looks nothing like a young dragon. The leveled up form with three feathers looks somehow closer to the Jinny bottle Liloupar. 🤔
Garden of Eden and angelic motifs, fascinating Biblical references on our Teyvat! Having found you and seen your lore theories take shape (and unravel almost always correctly) has helped my own speculations and enjoyment so much more! Ah and yes, working at a top engineering firm, can confirm architects (and engineers) are certainly something to work with!
I just noticed something crazy. Phlogiston is like Water like a Sea and light. Abyssmonsters look like trees in purple. In HSR the Imaginary Power is a tree and light. And Quantum Power (Sea of Quantum) is purple. Did Teyvat reverse the powers and corrupt them? Bevause Abyss should be light and Imaginary, like the tree irminsul, where Rukkhadevata takes a pure branch off to make Nahida. And the Phlogiston somehow isn't purple like Quantum power. What does that mean???
Light is light realm, aka dragons. Abyss is... Abyss. phlogiston is the original form of all elements. in fact, it makes a rainbow. It also contains memories. The original sea, for example, is not a sea. it contains emotions, and is also possibly associated with the abyss. I also want to clarify that the Quantum Sea in Honkai and the abyss in Genshin are not the same thing, they are different and work differently
This means that Genshin is not connected to Quanta and Imaginary, and has its own rules. All games that hoyoverse creates not connected to each other, they are like parallels to each other, even hsr that has confirmed connection to hi3rd has little in common with hi3rd universe and has its own rules of the universe and worlds.
The "upside down tree" or the Baobab has very interesting legends surrounding it, it is itself incredibly interesting to read about There's the reason for it being "upside down", the first hunter who brought disasters, the four maidens who lived in its shade, and that's just legends, there is so much cultural significance and just amazing facts about this damn tree. I love it. Great video.

This new boss has the same patterns the abyss thing in the sky created when it appeared in the archon quest. Now I am expecting that thing to the be an even bigger abyss mimic. It being a weekly boss that copies every other weekly boss would be cool
The abyss tree thing also looks like the engraved wall thing behind irminsul when u get the artifacts/materials. Also, Cocouik having one side have "wings" and the other not kinda reminds me of Arlecchino too
The only thing i hope they change/add is reducing the artifact elixer costs and/or adding more ways to get the elixers maybe from spiral abyss and imaginarium theatre and the premium currency shop.

I think what you may have mentioned as "horn designs" for the Masters of Night Wind, maybe is more of an imitation of the shape of the Iktomisaurus' huge ear shape as bat-dragon-like creatures? The tribes usually have elements that harkens to their saurian partners after all, and to me those shapes, especially since many of them are meant to be seen as pairs (most notable on the shots surrounding master of night wind's obelisk), may just be a design choice to reflect their saurian partners instead of something that reflects on the seelies immediately. After all, Natlan is still the land of humans and saurians. I find the need to point this out because it was rather interesting that they don't talk about the Iktomisaurus lore in the special program beyond its overworld functionalities compared to the Qucusaurus who they talked in more depth, meaning the Iktomisaurus perhaps played more part in the region's lore more than just being simple partner like the tribes we've seen before this, so perhaps it's possible there is deeper lore to be found from their coexistence with masters of the night wind, and thus the symbolism all over the place. I also want to mention that the "horn's" shape are actually similar to the Spiritspeaker Stone we used in the Act 2 of the Archon Quest, the one we used to find Kachina and subsequently broke to save Vichama. Vichama said the Spiritspeaker Stone works similarly like an abyssal pylon (bridging the material world with night kingdom), which seems a bit odd to me if they're purely related to seelies. But perhaps this is just me erring on the side of cautious since the patch itself hasn't come out. I personally wouldn't treat the trailer or special programs as "confirmation" or "fact" just yet since most of the time hoyo arranged them in the way that makes the most hype without actually very accurate to the in-game content itself😅Like when you talked about the abyssal tree. Nevertheless I find this video interesting. I do share your sentiment that it's really good to see Capitano around again because I too had thoughts/apprehension that he will be majorly absent before the final act. I also find it great that you were able to clarify or put into good words on "confusing" the tree since I find those choice of words from Gabe was rather interesting too but not sure what.

Sadly, I have to skip Chasca for now, even tho I like her and she is flying character I wouldn't mind getting. Bc Citlali and Mavuika are in higher priority. BTW, after watching people playing to act 3-4 again and again, I started to imagine Citlali using whip as a weapon bc she mentioned that she should have brought whip to punish Ororon. I know that Genshin wouldn't make the new weapon type, but bc we have catalyst users who use fist, gauntlet and camera to attack. So, I think she might mainly use whip to attack, or even cooler, she has a device that can turn into elemental whip, light saber style. * I also know people think she might be like Wriothesley but without gauntlet and has physical damage + physical focused (considering she punched Ororon pretty hard for a granny.)
I didnt see coming the connection between Fischl, Ronova and Natlan, but since she is princesin of the immernachtriech (?), and I think that kingdom is translated as evernight kingdom, or night kingdom... im so down for that.

Memory zone memes are affected by the collective memories and emotions of the people in dream and take shape after it guess what? The abyss is behaving exactly like that. There's that another thing too. In dreamflux reef there is a big black hole of memoria shaped like the quantum symbol and this exact same symbol is present in the masters of the night wind saurians super visions and theses are the most sensitive to the ley lines. These are my thoughts currently i don't have more evidence but i can't shake off this idea i can't unsee it anymore.
the abyss has such capabilities because of the Ley lines, where all the information is contained. The roots of Irminsul are in the abyss (presumably). The Quantum Sea and the Abyss are different things and work differently. The Quantum Sea is part of nihility . (If I remember correctly)
Correction, Xbalanque has a twin brother in the MYTHS, but the characters in genshin are never one-on-one copies of their counterpart from the myths. There is no information in the game that Xbalanque ever had a sibling, but he has a best friend, Sage of the Stolen Flame, who is like a brother to him.
@@iosis9324 Well I am just guessing, there are no facts. But one thing I know is the ball game (Pokatok) in Genshin trailer (Ignition Teaser: A Name Forged in Flames) is referencing to the ball game that Xbalanque and Hunahpu play. A deadly game where the winner leave and loser sacrifice. Mavuika have already enter Xibalba. Xibalba is the underworld, the place that Mavuika save us while rescuing Kachina. I believe the Natlan arc is inspired by Popol Vuh.
from random thoughts: What if celestia isn't as bad as we think? Of course I'm not saying it's good, but we know it's bad from the history of "victims" (fatui plan, Khaneriah and dragons). But is it for the survival of teyvat? If people can fight the abyss thanks to their control of the elements, Celestia's pillars work on a similar principle to shadow pin, and the destroyed nations probably had to deal with corruption from the abyss, I won't be surprised if it turns out that the people turned into monsters weren't changed by Celestia but it's a form of abyss corruption like forbidden knowledge, and only pure-blooded kaeheriah people are immune to it due to their specific origins different from other nations. Btw. this little creature reminds me more of a wayob manifestation, especially with that one wing.
@@KelumKey Yes yes, they fightinng abyss too and the fake sky is protecting Teyvat. But probably they have hidden agenda that we don't know yet. Ochanatlan is probably next destroyed civilization and Cappitano knew something so it will be interesting quest.
@@KelumKeygiven the heavenly principles is asleep, the sentiment of obtaining a vision being a sort of "curse" or joke in certain eyes, as well as the fact that the fatui can also be labeled as "not evil just radical", we still end up right where we started. The Fatui have shed a lot of blood, done horribly immoral and unethical experiments, caused civil unrest in foreign nations as an excuse for them to take over, and some could even be labeled as terrorists by their actions. But at the same time, you have Fatui members who are children/young in the HotH, Fatui that died to defend Natlan just because Capitano ordered them to, Capitano himself with his values and wants-its a mixed bag, and even if the general assumption still is that they're evil, we dont know for sure if the ends can actually justify the means. That's something the Fatui, Pierro, and possibly the Cryo Archon herself will have to prove. A similar yet different argument could be made for the Abyss and/or the Abyss Order. Whether they're actually doing something right, if there's something Teyvat doesn't understand yet about the abyss, if Celestia and the abyss are connected in ways we don't know yet, etc. It's kind of unfortunate to some degree but there's still a lot we can't be too sure about. I mean we did just find out seelies are angels (as in the game fully saying it, not just theories that make sense). Until the next Dain quest, or maybe even 5.3, who knows what's truly evil and what's an ally? Who's to say who the Traveler will align themselves with, their sibling or Paimon, maybe Dain, or Teyvat, the dragons, Celestia...
Scarlet eyed hero isn't Xbalanque, he's the second (or possibly third) pyro archon. It's very clear that Och Kan was one of Xbalanque's companions took over natlan after Xbalanque's death. Then Och kan went mad with power and the Scarlet eyed hero overthrew him. (It's unclear if Och Kan was actually Pyro archon or just in charge, I lean towards him not being an Archon)
another cascha hater.... how does she look goofy i don't get it. the only complaint i think is valid is the one pant leg other than that i think she looks amazing
Well, using the word hater is definitely an exaggeration. You can't like everything. I don't like the big gun either. But I don't like the design of the other Natlan characters either. They all look like they're from a different game. I'm not the only one who would have found it much better if they had all used a dinosaur companion for fighting and movement and if we had finally gotten mounts and flying dragons instead of sneaking around in their shells. How cool would that be. I'm really starting to worry that Mavuika will come along on hot wheels.
@@sylviagerlach2579I will never understand such "It looks like different game" people. All regions and characters from these regions look like they are from another game, look at the design of Neuvillette and let's say Kaeya, and it's good, if all the regions and characters looked almost the same and didn't bring anything new to the game, it would be very boring. No, it would not be cooler, what they did with the deception of expectations that Natlan would not be a developed nation living in caves, is better, also closer to the myths and reality of the countries on which Natlan is based. But to each his own, I suppose.
Just difference of opinions. And maybe it's just me, but i feel like people including myself hate Mavuika's weird biker girl fit than Chasca's. I really can't stand her design whatsoever, but Mavuika's is far more confusing and irritating to me personally. I think Ashikai said it best, she kinda looks like a bratz doll. I dont think it necessarily means her design is bad, at least not in that context, but that she looks out of place. Still, at the end of the day it's just a difference of likes and dislikes. Maybe there's just an unidentifiable aspect of her design that people just dont like, something we can't exactly name.
I just really hope that all of these quest (major ones) will be voiced on EN. 5.1 quests are all boring af because of those missing voice lines even the archon quest feels boring. Yes there's different VO available but i really love listening to EN VO and grasp the whole story plot without the stress of reading and analyzing both of the same time.
I don't think Oz is strictly a raven (he's playing a role), and him looks like Kanna (that might be an owl/eagle/hawk) is with a reason. Because he literally screeches like a hawk in Fischl's skill and, maybe Fischl cons isn't necessarily looks like Oz, I think it might be Fischl herself (because her cons looks like a regular raven) Although there are some characters' cons that looks like their companion and that makes sense but I used to think that's not Oz in Fischl's cons, personally (this is actually does not negating everything you said, I just felt the need to comment)
What you are saying is impossible. Early life relied on chemosynthesis, not photosynthesis. Photosynthetic bacteria, like cyanobacteria, were crucial in producing oxygen (which we want for more complex life). Over time, these bacteria evolved into algae and land plants. Trees, are the result of billions of years of plant evolution. Plants and animals are interdependent, with animals relying on plants for oxygen and food, and plants benefiting from animal-produced carbon dioxide. To put it in much simpler words, considering that animals eat plants for energy it is physically impossible for animals to have been around before the thing they eat for energy.
@DragonMJE yes, my mistake. i was referring to eukaryotic cells as "animals" when they were the common ancestor of plants and animals and not animals themselves

Ah and yes, working at a top engineering firm, can confirm architects (and engineers) are certainly something to work with!
another thing is that the circular architecture in ochkanatlan resembles the new world bosses wings and eyes
@@KelumKey thank you for explaining! I have only played HSR, I probably lack a lot of lore of Honkai.
The "upside down tree" or the Baobab has very interesting legends surrounding it, it is itself incredibly interesting to read about
There's the reason for it being "upside down", the first hunter who brought disasters, the four maidens who lived in its shade, and that's just legends, there is so much cultural significance and just amazing facts about this damn tree. I love it.
Great video.
I’m so pumped for this update
My first thought when I saw the Abyss tree was how much it reminded me of Unown.
ngl the small cococui reminds me of fighting dvalinthe first time. Where venti helped us stay afloat...and the small cococui is similar to ventis wind spirit form...and more info about mare javari will be given in the new area...
This new boss has the same patterns the abyss thing in the sky created when it appeared in the archon quest. Now I am expecting that thing to the be an even bigger abyss mimic. It being a weekly boss that copies every other weekly boss would be cool
First Gnosticism, then geology, now plant biology is used to explain Abyssal ecosystems. Insane theories (I am completely hooked).
The abyss tree thing also looks like the engraved wall thing behind irminsul when u get the artifacts/materials.
Also, Cocouik having one side have "wings" and the other not kinda reminds me of Arlecchino too
The abyss tree and the other enemy with that mechanic remind me heavily of the void taurus enemy things from hi3.
Or whatever that one enemy was where you needed to kill a core after killing it
That abyss boss reminds me of Marana's Avatar, especially with the spiral thingy.
Its like Venti sprite form combined with Liloupar. So 90% sure it's related to the Shades somehow.
The only thing i hope they change/add is reducing the artifact elixer costs and/or adding more ways to get the elixers maybe from spiral abyss and imaginarium theatre and the premium currency shop.
Wow this is one of good analysis Genshin video
I look forward to the day when you have to fight mimics of your character roster, complete with constellations.
Ochkanatlan dragon reminded me of shrek movie
The tree getting into a confusions state after breaking the void wards with elemental energy feels a little like hsr weakness breaking enemies xd
That graffiti looks exactly like elements of that angelic abyssal tree monster 0_0
8:28 - this circle thing reminds me of the jade thingie of Fujin (in the river). And the DM triangles in Enkonomiya. I wonder what they'll be for and how they'll work....
G, this area will be fun fun fun
22:37 it looks like the geani from second sumeru quest with jeht
Fishl might finaly be part of the main story and not in a limited event and i heard layla will alsoe be inportant , 4 stars are starting to have a big role
the abysee tree when it takes form looks like the 3 harbinger
I cannot reconcile Oz being connected to Odin/Irmin, but then also to the thunder bird and Renova. Because Irmin is the red king, but Renova is a shade/lunar queen...
back to the 19s with that audio XD
TH-cam probably found some Copyrighted content and flagged the music out. At least that's my guess.
I think Kinich and Mualani's chronicles were fine while Xilonen had the best one for sure. Definitely wouldn't call Mualani's outright bad if anything
Xilonen’s was very tense and gripping, prob one of the darkest ones so far.
@@hanchengjun275yeah it's really good and captures her character who is observed and calm
mualani's was generic "the real treasure is the friends we made along the way"
@@godtierbp1928 Ben 10’s was also quite good, rare world boss lore that connects to the previous hero’s lore and kinich’s personality and decision-making, and a decent moral dilemma
13:10 it also reminds me of the death meme from hsr
Columbina when...
"Someday, when they return, their true ordeal shall begin.
- Xbalanque, One Entombed With the Primal Fire"
How does Xbalanque knows Neuvillette??
i heard that the tribal quest for citlali's clan will only fot act 2.
chasca's the only one we can finish on one go.
i assume citlali's release would ends the tribal quest
Didn’t we get our first taste of abyssal trees at Tatarasuna? Those corrupted abyssal pylon things that electrocute you…
The new boss looks awesome.
Why’s the trailer audio always cooked? 💀
It's the video not the trailer.
@@Dinofrogg i thought my earbud broke at some parts of the video 😭
Its just a few minutes of the video itself.
I hope new boss won't be annoying like Rhodeia of Loch: "The power of wa... Abyss is it's ability to take any shape"
With there forseeing powers but guess thats any seelie
I didnt see coming the connection between Fischl, Ronova and Natlan, but since she is princesin of the immernachtriech (?), and I think that kingdom is translated as evernight kingdom, or night kingdom... im so down for that.
Oh my,Xbalanque is solaire
So with this video, are you saying that everything in Teyvat grew from plants?
every time i look at that graffiti i see an oceanid lol
7:10 sorry if this is a dumb comment to post but surely the person depicted on the mural is Ochka and not Xbalanque? You pointed out the gold is a sun but it kinda looks more like paint to hide the face and Ochka wore a mask to hide his draconic features.
I could be wrong tho so sorry if I’m just talking nonsense, love the videos 💜
Just watched more and you weren’t referring to the paint as the sun 😅 sorry
When is 5.2 coming out for Asia?

What if at 7:28 it isnt Xbalaque but Ochkan? The face is smeared with some kind of paint.
Ancient dragons are mushrooms, confirmed! 🍄😂😂😂 all the things they were throwing around are not seeds, they are spores. Just like the mushroom chicken in Sumeru
Honestly the only thing that i could think about when i saw the abyss boss was it kinda looks like memoria from hsr
I am confused, how?
You might be correct btw, I just don't see it.
@@DedeTheHut
If teyvat was truly a dream i started to think that the abyss is some nightmare trying to invade it.
Those were my thoughts originally but after seeing the boss color schemes and how does it behave i linked it to memoria.
@@KelumKey Quantum Sea is not part of IX, meanwhile IX come from IMG Tree

7:44 isn't it more likely he's in the interlude than the world quest? Esp if he has voiced lines?
I misspoke, I meant Interlude.
is it just me that thinks that the paint looking splatter covering xbalanques face looks like an upside down irminsul? like the stem? idk..
Enkanomiya vibe and I AM LOVING IT
Xbalanque have a twin and the name is Hunahpu.
17:33 again it reminds me of the death meme from hsr
Oh I thought Kapatcir was an owl. Lol I’m not very good at identifying birds in this game.
For the Graffiti at the Night Wind tribe, i see Kaeya’s constellation
from random thoughts: What if celestia isn't as bad as we think?
We have known for a long time that they are not evil. they're just radical
@@KelumKey Yes yes, they fightinng abyss too and the fake sky is protecting Teyvat. But probably they have hidden agenda that we don't know yet. Ochanatlan is probably next destroyed civilization and Cappitano knew something so it will be interesting quest.
Umm no not really. We still don't know shit about celestia.@@KelumKey
Ahem, not knowing the future ban- *COUGH* I mean the quests! Without knowing the future quests
Citlali and nabu could have been siblings
9:15 👁️👄👁️ I’m sorry
Scarlet eyed hero isn't Xbalanque, he's the second (or possibly third) pyro archon. It's very clear that Och Kan was one of Xbalanque's companions took over natlan after Xbalanque's death. Then Och kan went mad with power and the Scarlet eyed hero overthrew him. (It's unclear if Och Kan was actually Pyro archon or just in charge, I lean towards him not being an Archon)
If you are basing what you're saying on Chasca's weapon description then that's spoilers which is likely why he avoided it in the video
@SumiSakurasawa-uv1yt this is just from the scions tribal Chronicle and the mask weapon materials.
Is Capitano Och Kan?
Unlikely, he is Khaenri'ahn. Och Kan was Xbalanque's friend.

I'm terrified the voice mixing will be as atrocious as in 5.1
another cascha hater.... how does she look goofy i don't get it. the only complaint i think is valid is the one pant leg other than that i think she looks amazing
I think she looks very cool as well. Obvious cowboy girl design which I think she’s rocking well.
Because he literally screeches like a hawk in Fischl's skill and, maybe Fischl cons isn't necessarily looks like Oz, I think it might be Fischl herself (because her cons looks like a regular raven)
Although there are some characters' cons that looks like their companion and that makes sense but I used to think that's not Oz in Fischl's cons, personally (this is actually does not negating everything you said, I just felt the need to comment)
And that one raven NPC who flirt with Mona named Arnold and Arnold means eagle, yeah
SECOND
but animals evolved before plants... photosynthesis took awhile to develop and trees are comparably modern lifeforms...
@@DragonMJE if you check wikipedia, there was an animal recently discovered that does not need oxygen to survive and its a parasitic relative of jellyfish! its pretty cool! i guess its no longer completely impossible x3c well it definetly used to be tbf!
@@yogfan1139 I am not sure if you are referring to things such as Loricifera that can survive in extremely low-oxygen environments, but there isn't currently an animal known to survive without oxygen. Even Henneguya salminicola relies on Oxygen for certain metabolic processes.
But let's say it didn't, that doesn't change the fundamental fact that plants existed before animals.

Same, I was so surprised he just said that like it's some kind of fact that everyone agrees with 😅
@@godtierbp1928 He already made a video dissecting and explaining why the quest was horrible. The vast majority of people agreed with that vid. Remember, what matters is what the vast majority of people think, there will always be a few outliers like you guys who like something that is objectively awful.
@ShirouE Huh? Even if, like you say, it's a majority of his viewers, there's no guarantee the same opinion holds up in the minds of the general masses who play Genshin. I kinda get what you were trying to say, and it's not like I think it's a masterclass in writing or anything, but the way you phrased feels kind of absurd or juvenile at best.
@@godtierbp1928 You know what extrapolation means right?
This is a channel that mostly makes Lore videos praising the game and talking highly about it. Therefore, the audience of this channel is naturally going to be people who enjoy the game and the story, not people who hate it. So when the OP makes a video where he only criticizes a certain quest while barely saying anything good, and almost EVERYONE agrees, you can then use basic logic to determine that the quest was in fact objectively bad.
Remember, most people who watch this guy's videos are fans of the story, so you can extrapolate the general opinion given the sample size.
Instead of calling me juvenile try thinking.
@@ShirouE Damn, you so toxic, Mister."your opinion is not like mine so you outline" 💀
Your logic is completely wrong. I doubt that majority of people who watch this channel are REALLY dedicated to lore and play the game themselves, most likely they watch this channel because they are MNFN fans and do not want to read lore themselves, so their opinion about Mualani quest is just a approval to their idol without playing themselves this quest, so their opinion cannot be called objective, but also they are only a small group within the fandom that do not show mass opinion, a more massive opinion can be viewed on the game forums and there most players rate this quest average, not bad.
