- Just a day to take a quick look at some of the random 1/12 scale items items I've picked up, customized or been sent over the past few months to supplement my displays, like ....well....today it's quite a few Marvel Legends part swaps but there's also a big headed Robo and a Cyclops visor add-on to fix the gap issue!

Welcome to the crazy part of the hobby, where you take perfectly good figures and either make them better or ruin them until you figure out something else to do with them, haha!
Robo, I just wanna say that you have inspired me over the last year. If it weren't for you and these play days, I wouldn't have reconnected with my childhood love of changing and customizing my Star Wars figures. The feeling of creating something new and unique using mass-produced toys makes my heart happy.

That ML Gambit head has a great face print! I see why you used it. The MAFEX one for me is perfection.

I just custom my mezco hellboy 2019 to be a little more comic inspired and I had a damn good time doing it. A wonderful play day!

I absolutely loved the Immortal Hulk head, is way more accurate than the Marvel Select one. And i love this version of Hulk.

You just salvaged that Ant-Man! The shoulders it came with were just shockingly not suited for the figure. The Cyclops wasn't as bad, but those plug-ins just give it some more oomph. Still hoping Hasbro release one without the cell-shading and as a standard release.
But the star of the show is definitely Robo the Living Planet. That's just so creative, and it looks amazing!
Those X-Men 3packs and Wolverine are still on sale at Pulse until June 26

Love triangle cyclops head is a viable option for a swap, it thinner so it makes him look bigger and it doesn't look like Conan incase that's an issue

I swapped the boots from Fang onto Forge to correct the height issue and the color matched ok too

Beef Boss is so funny because he to me does like to have competition with anyone and this Play Day was awesome to see because I have my own little Play Days sometimes whenever I can, Great video overall Robo.

The gambit thing is mainly that hasbro (and mezco) make their heads way bigger than they should be proportions wise, not that I mind, but just as a little explanation

Robo get this for a deal - that Ned and Peter two pack was put up for essentially $6.36/ £4.98 as an accident by Game (our Uk equivalent of GameStop)

That's a great looking Forge mod. If I had (could afford) an extra 3 pack, I'd likely mod one of them like you did. Except the belt. I'd leave that as is.
It was never accurate. Hasbro re-used Wolverine's belt instead of making a new one w/a circle X logo. Caliban Forge is from post Silverstri/ pre Jim Lee period: UXM#260 thru X-Tinction Agenda. Lee dropped Forge's belt pouches & tassel boots for a more uniform look when the team came together in UXM#273.
Just got my first mafex, the new magneto. I put my legends magneto head on him and it's pretty sick but def took a minute for me as well. Now my biggest issue is with how his gritting teeth look lol

I still expect a video on Tuesday every week but now I'm starting to get used to it happening on a Wednesday instead.
I'll eventually get back to the regular schedule, working on the studio is taking a lot of time. Although, I kinda like working on the one video mid-week and having more time to play in edits and such.

I need to keep an eye out for that older Forge figure. I know I have one already but I need two, one for both the new Forge body but also to try to put the tassels on the legs of that Dani Moonstar/Karma/Wolfsbane that released a few years back. Always bugged me the she didn't have them.
I think Masterverse Skeletor feet would be perfect demon feet for you.😊

My one issue with that 275 Gambit head is they didn't put any stubble on his face. Jim lee always drew Gambit (and Wolverine) with some stubble. That's why I still like the Caliban wave Gambit head best. Just had to swap the ridiculous hair on that one.
I just got some new pastel that works wonders for stubble, definitely looking into adding it to a few figures.

I went to arkansas a month ago for moparmania and went to the that shop got some comics for my car since it's soundwave themed
Man, I so hope I see that Ant-Man somewhere here in the UK, US exclusives here either get general releases or are impossible to find. That mod is great, as much as I like that body the tiny shoulders do bug me sometimes, a lot of Marvel Legends just need that slight adjustment to better sell their superhero proportions.
8:22 In X-Factor #56 Jean Grey wore a version of this outfit. 12:00 You put the shoulders on backwards. 12:36 Your Ant-Man's shoulders have sculpted slant lines on the front, but in this pic the front of the shoulders have two sculpted vertical lines. Hasbro has been putting these shoulder parts on backwards with their newer Bucky-Cap figures. They did correct them on the recent Orb though.
That’s strawberry blonde (yellow with orange) on Sue! Dirty blonde would be yellow with brown undertones.

I put a lot of black series heads onto Figuarts bodies. They just look better now…usually

How do you get ML heads to fit on Mafex? Always looking for a way to upgrade Xmen
For testing things out I just use some blue tack (poster putty?) and then for more permanent fixes I use some hot glue.
What about Gargoyle's Goliath? buffer build, and similar color, to S'Ym. :D
I think that works out too tall and I really want that belly.

Antman shoulder fix is truly amazing, it makes mediocre figure into a good figure. It’s sad you have to do this just to get a normally proportioned figure and even sadder that Hasbro did fix sunfire mold for Shang chi but haven’t used that update ever since.

Maybe a minor detail considering the face sculpt she came with, but I think Invisible Woman's collar piece falls too long on her breasts, when it should be shorter and have a semicircular shape. The Walgreen's exclusive looks much better IMO, smaller and between the shoulders articulation.
