CTF Engage: Gene-Targeted Therapy in NF

Gene-targeted therapy is on the horizon, and patient resources will be essential for clinical trials. In order for patients and care advocates to give meaningful input to the future of gene-targeted therapies in NF we must first understand it.
The Children’s Tumor Foundation (CTF) began as the first grassroots organization solely dedicated to finding treatments for NF. Today, CTF is a highly recognized global nonprofit foundation, the leading force in the fight to end NF, and a model for other innovative research endeavors.
NF refers to genetic conditions that cause tumors to grow on nerves throughout the body. NF includes all forms of neurofibromatosis and schwannomatosis and affects about 4 million people worldwide. Anyone can be born with NF, and it affects everyone differently. There is no cure yet.

Tyler Jacks showed progesterone receptor PR expression in neurofibromas. Both liganded PR and unliganded PR can contribute to tumorigenesis and tumor immune evasion. Arv471 degrades PR robustly as well as ESR1
I think maybe Arv471+mifepristone might synergize and possibly be an effective therapy for NF
