Indigo Park is an immersive first-person exploration game that takes you on a thrilling journey through the eerie remnants of an abandoned amusement park. As the protagonist, you will step into the shoes of an adventurous soul eager to uncover the mysteries hidden within this once vibrant and lively attraction.
Explore a desolate world where time has stood still, and nature has reclaimed its territory. The amusement park, once filled with joyous laughter and cheerful music, now echoes with haunting silence and faded memories. Guided by an A.I. assistant*, help restore power to the destroyed amusement park while you avoid the reason it shut down.
Once one of the most renowned theme parks of the world, Indigo Park was suddenly shut down after a mysterious, horrific incident. Years later, in a search for nostalgia, you break into the park to explore the abandoned attractions. You may remember this place, but you'll need some help from a special A.I. friend*.
Previously the park's A.I.-driven* tour guide, Rambley the Raccoon will take over screens and other aspects of the park to communicate with you! Explore the park as you find collectables, secrets, and discover why the park was shut down, all while being guided by Rambley! Find items, solve puzzles, and restore power to the park as you run from the reason it shut down.
*Rambley, the AI character is a work of fiction, and is not utilizing actual "AI", rather stunning 2D animation and voice acting to communicate with the player.

House Flipper 2 did this great thing where they had photoes of the devs in the credits next to their names, and I'd love to see more developers doing that so fans know who made that boppin music or designed their favorite gameplay sequence ❤
I was on vacation to Disney Florida at the time and I personally told my mom that I wanted to watch any play throughs I could find of Indigo park the moment it released so I was more than happy to give this game a warm welcome and honestly can’t wait to see more

I really hope this doesn't get away from you guys. I absolutely love the tone, and characters, etc. Sure it needs polish, but, I would love the same energy and care that's in this game currently. Thanks so much for making this game and spending YOUR time on it. I can't wait for chapter 2!

As an indie game developer myself, just don't overwork yourself, if you have to extend a deadline just for the game to be good, extend the deadline. (If there is one)
As an artist myself, make sure your artists aren't overworking themselves too
Make sure their workflow is healthy for them

Suggestion: Subtitle Mollie early on, you don't have to reveal the character early, just say "Mysterious voice" or something, but sometimes even just playing without headphones means you can't hear the creepy voice (like in MattPatts vid). Maybe also add faint breathing to the Lloyd section of the train ride, that's a potential jumpscare most people seem to miss.
Also, getting this being means considering things like accessability options. Ex, I was watching one playthrough and got to thinking "these colored cubes could be a colorblind nightmare". IDK how to fix that, just that it should be tested and addressed if needed.
Actually really relieved to hear you didn't include stretch goals. People love the game, and that's what they're throwing their money at. It sounds like you guys understand that completely. Can't wait to see chapter 2!

@@vinebuddy so basically, remeber friday night funkin? That had a kickstarter with stretch goals, and they were WAAAYY too ambitious for a small team. The kickstarter ended up getting 2 million dollars worth of donations, and the developers didn’t really know what to do, leading to the game being set to take YEARS to make as there were goals like “level creator” and “online versus”.
TL;DR A bunch of developers had ambitious stretch goals, and the internet ended up giving 2 million dollars to a buncha memers

One thing I really hope is that there is enough funding and overflow to "update" chapter 1's models and world to be more fleshed out. You've seen how people have pointed out how Lloyd's model would look better if just his mane was adjusted in coloration to match the "advertised" version. Glamrock Dusky does a perfect review in regards of what could be added and adjusted, such as some colors in Mollie's Landing pad to match her feathers and to make areas in the park not quite so desolate. Things such as tables but with airplane wing textures in the cafeteria to sell the whole theme Mollie has.
There also is the idea of, since Lloyd's encounter can't end in your death, have his presence on the other sides of the crates and such be more evident with his eyes glowing and him clawing and knocking boxes down just near you to keep you on your toes, even if you know it's safe.
It also would be jarring if we get to chapter 2 and suddenly Lloyd, Finley, or any other mascot look significantly different/better.

Speaking on Kickstarter, the worst ones are always the ones that lock entire massive, critical sections of the project behind stretch goals to pressure people to contribute otherwise they won't get the full intended vision of the creator. Stretch goals should ALWAYS been extra things you have ideas for but aren't sure if you want to put in, not entire critical pieces of the entire project.
Example - a game project, say dungeon crawling RPG, that will only have the final, plot critical, dungeon if it reaches 300% of it's goal.
Yeah it feels like they want way more than what they offered, but are scared of asking outright nad instead hope 'oh look stretch goals' might make people donate extra.

@@Aldenfenris If they don't reach the goal I'm pretty sure the people get refunded, I think it's not that those who do that want more than they need, it's that they asked for less than they need and they know it. So like the example Scorbun gave, they need a certain amount, but they aren't sure they can get that, so they say it's done at a third of what they need to make it more likely that they keep whatever they get, forcing them to put "actually finish the game" in stretch goals.

@@Aldenfenris Yeah, sorry for not being clear, but while I see the reasons that doesn't mean I think they're good reasons or that the action of saying you need less than what you actually need would be justified even if the reasons were good. In the end a lie is a lie and in the case of using that lie to raise funds I believe it's always morally questionable at best and almost always just wrong.
I’ve got to say it. I haven’t been so in love with a video game in so long. Indigo park has brought back that love for a video game I’ve been missing for so long. Every little thing about this game fills me with so much joy. Thanks for making such an amazing game, and thank you so much more for bringing back the love I’ve been missing. Love the game, and that adorable raccoon! Can’t wait for the future of this game!!

I’m genuinely haven’t been this excited for mascot horror since Bendy and the Dark Revival. Congratulations on the positive feedback and positive attention that Indigo Park has received and I wish the best for the future of the game. I played the game due an image I found of Rambley. Saw it was Free to Play, and downloaded it. I was kinda stunned when I saw all the graphical options to make the game run on older hardware. I mean, I have an i3 2100, with 8GB of ram and a GT 610. And even tho the game ran at 10fps sometimes, I was amazed on the whole fact I could record that game. I loved it so much. The VA's, the artwork (which I couldn't see at the begining due the low res textures xD), the sound, the designs... THE SONG AT THE END WAS AMAZING! Kinda gave me GladOS vibes, and I was so down for it. I just hope Chapter 2 has all that and more. I know the game has the potential to be better than FNAF SB. I'll wait the time I have to. I prefer waiting 2 more years and have an amazing game, rather than waiting 5 months to get a buggy mess. So please, take your time, don't push yourself too hard, and enjoy that journey of making the new horror game masterpiece of 2024-2025.
All that said, thanks for making an amazing game.

One thing I’d HIGHLY recommend is wandering enemies! It will give the game a TON of replay ability! Other than that, great game!

I agree. I recommend taking advantage of the idea that Theme Parks often have multiple of the same character in different areas of the park. Other wandering, mimicking, and possibly Flying Mollies out and about would be unique to this game.

Recently finished my own playthrough of this game, and I absolutely loved chapter 1. I can pretty much answer all of Ramblys questions with a positive response. I WILL come back. You HAVE earned my trust. And I WILL do whatever I can to restore the park to its former glory.
Call me biased if you want, but when you freaking save my life, I’m FAR more willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. That’s just how I operate in games I play.

No matter what the future is, I'm so excited for whatever you do with this game and I'm so glad that so much thought went into the first chapter and the amount that you CARE for this game is incredible, hope this game goes MUCH further than it has already
I've never actively wanted merch for a game before. I've bought merch, particularly from Undertale, but I've never specifically asked for it.
I wanted every piece of Rambley merch in the game to be real before I even finished the train ride. I love him so much.
That being said, I'm fine waiting for further merch because between the TTYD remake, and the plush, I just spent 100$ in the span of a few days when I normally go months or years without buying anything.

Recently got into Indigo Park (actually made fanart!) and it’s insane seeing how many artists, editors, etc, are out there.
It’s amazing how people can be connected by something we love, and that being YOUR game. It’s amazing.
You got this! Part 1 was so charming, between Rambly as a character and the end credits song (so catchy!), I thoroughly enjoyed watching a playthrough. Looking forward seeing more of Finley in Part 2!

NGL for someone who has the rather new-ish game devving experience you have I was rather blown away by the presentation of the first chapter. There are some things I feel like there needs to be some more polish with (Level designs could use some polish to add a lot more "oomph" to this dilapidated theme park, better cues for some of the creepier moments (noticed a LOT of lets players missed out on some spooky moments in the game due to not being better directed by the narrative to notice them), and more stuff to interact with to further the story (notes, recordings, etc)), it was still a fantastic experience, and I loved the effort put into Rambley and the other mascots, and especially the Rambley AI. You actually made my cynical untrusting genre savvey self actually buy that he isn't an evil ai and I actually want to help him lmao
I'm very excited for the next chapter.

I’ve been sort of out of the gaming ‘game’ for a while, so I miss a lot of the things that blow up and become huge. I came across Indigo Park on Steam just a few days ago and thought “why not, let’s give it a try”. When I tell you I immediately was like, oh this is different, this is special. One of the first things I said out loud was “A lot of love went into this, you can really tell”. I adore what you and your team created here. I am fully invested in these characters, and of COURSE, I adore Rambley.
I can’t wait to see the story unfold, no matter how long it may take to get everything just right.
Thank you for giving new life to this horror niche, and thank you for inspiring me to keep going and grinding on with my own little baby TH-cam channel.

I am a very small and new streamer, however I loved the first part. Its cute and very much enjoyed the mystery behind everything. I know my comment will get lost in the 'comment sea' but I want to help out even though I got like no money. I will def have money stored away for the upcoming chapters. If it helps the most I have to offer is my voice for...well voice acting but if that can help then I don't mind helping out no price tag attached. Keep up the good work and I look forward to the nest chapters! :D

Indigo Park is great! I love Rambley and all the other characters. It has so much potential to evolve and be its own thing. I don't mind waiting a while for the next chapter to come out since it takes time to polish out games, their characters and tell a fun and good story. It's better to do that than to rush new chapter releases like Garten Of Banban.

As a person who was sort of experiencing burn out and feeling unsure about pursuing my own ideas regarding an Indie Horror I want to say thank you for making this. It’s been a positive light seeing someone blend together lightheartedness and horror the way you and the team did with Indigo. You brought my spark back honestly.
Dude as a game dev graduate, this shit takes so long solo compared to a group project, back in uni, my group would be able to complete a short game experience in a semester, but by myself, (working when I feel like it), it took me over a year to get the base gamepley working for a game I was working on, not including all the art assets, sound and UI and animation stuff id have to add in.
On the upside, I did gain a bit of experience with pixel art and animation.
I love this game so much I really hope that you will release chapter 2 season

Take your time with the game. Making a good game comes with practice, and you hit a home run. From seeing the trailer to having a terrifyingly fun ride on Rambleys Railroad to "Being hired while running for my life from Molly Mackaw", it was perfect, and it was original. The details im still noticing after my 5th playthrough is a testament to the games introduction. Don't Fnaf the game and spazz out chapters, make the story and the characters like you did chapter one. Well thought out, great precedenting events, good cool down times. You may be new to making a game, but by god have you struck gold. I have a small question, is the OST Copyright free? And if so, may I make a series of visualizers dedicated to the OST? All rights would be yours still and I would not want money from it. I would leave links to both the channel and the game on steam if you would like. You made a fan out of me.

Me, my sister, and my baby duck love indigo park (he pecks at the screen when I watch play throughs) and I’m really excited for whatever chapter two is going to bring (especially because I’m obsessed with Finley lol). I’m not a big fan of horror games (I like poppy playtime bc of the lore and the characters are cool lol) and I don’t play them, but I’d love to try this game someday, as I love it so much. One thing i find very confusing is when in mollie's landing pads you are climbing the slide and see mollie for a split-second, there is blood dripping from her, which is pretty weird because the last time someone visited the park is 8 years ago, alll blood would have dried up in that time
A cool thing would be less find a key open a door and progress to the next park area maybe do something else than that since most games have that idea of key hunting
