You know that it was Tinybuild (The Publisher) and not the Dynamic Pixels (The Developers) that tweeted those, and that Tinybuild's CEO also apologized for the tweets in Matpat's subreddit. Right? And also the fact that those tweets were like years ago
I've always loved the detail after Mollie gets decapped that Rambley says "I can see that youre scare-- angr-- upset..." It's such a small detail but it genuinely builds the scene so much because you can actually feel/imagine the face the Player is making that the computer would have a hard time picking apart "scared" from "angry" and settling on a general "upset" because their face is so contorted in fear and dismay of what they just saw. I hope this gets seen, if nothing else because I want the writer of that scene to know that that little detail got noticed
Rambley keeps mentioning facial tracking data, so he likely has a program dedicated to working out what mood you're in. Either the protagonist's expression was rapidly changing or the program wasn't certain and kept throwing out different results. Either way, Rambley's speech synthesis would change to the new output immediately, rather than complete the word like a human would. It's only my interpretation, of course, but I think it paints a neat image of Rambley as being sapient but still very much a computer. He doesn't think the way humans do.
@@ReddwarfIV I agree, and it leaves the Player's expression up to interpretation. To me, I imagine a static face of abject horror and concern, which is not something Rambley would be trained to spot as it's not a face kids would or should be making at the park. To others, is could super easily be read as the Player's face changing as they go through various thoughts and emotions, unable to settle on feeling one way for long enough for Rambley to even know what you're feeling and only being able to "average" it out(so to speak) to "upset"
Eh while that makes sense, I believe a bit more in what a few other people speculated about it, which is that he still has programming from the park on things like scripts, things to say, things he CANT say, etc. In this case, your park mascot AI saying "scared" or "angry" probably wouldn't be allowed, so when he tried it glitches and he's forced to go with just the general, more "soft" term of just "upset". Which I can believe considering you can tell he has scripts and pre programmed behavior for certain things based on the way his sprite moves more rigidly during those moments, but to be fair I can see either that or the face tracking thing to be true! And honestly like both speculations there lol its a very nice detail either way
I find it hilarious how Game theory completely missed that Lloyd was actually the ORIGINAL big mascot for the park. With him being painted in the gate instead of Rambley in the old Isaac video, with the Rambley ride most probably initially being Lloyd ride and with statue of Lloyd being behind the stage in the theater - the same type of statue that is now Rambley and Isaac at the gate. Lloyd was most probably replaced by Rambley at some point (even "he hurts Lloyd" could be attributed to that). Rambley is actually the "Donald Duck" here.
To those curious, at 8:41 you can see the gate with Rambley painted on the right. Two seconds later, you have the Isaac video with Lloyd clearly painted in that exact same spot on the same gate.
Another thing, the photo of Lloyd and Rambley in the Rambley's Railroad might be a reference to Mr. Toad's Wild Ride being rebranded to The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh where a photo of Mr.Toad handing the deed over to Owl was left in the ride as an easter egg, this along with the Lloyd Limos signs left over imply the ride was originally Lloyd Limos.
HE IS NOT EVIL!!! THAT IS JUST BULL**** If Rambley DOES turn out to be Evil; YOU CAN KISS MY INTEREST IN THIS GAME GOODBYE; BECAUSE I WANTED HIM TO BE THE SAME ANTITHESIS TO PORTAL'S GLADOS THAT WE SEE HIM AS IN CHAPTER 1
@@New3DSLuigi364 Just because he's cute and cheerful, doesn't mean he can't be evil! So that's all a character needs to be to FOOL EVERYONE? Cute, happy, and cheerful??? Too many people want him to be a good guy, but THAT'S WAAAAAAAAAY TO PREDICTABLE! It would be nice to have this cute and cheerful creature turn out to be the Mastermind behind it all!
Rambley is soooo cute and so great to have as a companion. I'd actually be sad if he ended up being evil, just because it's something new in the genre and he seems like a great character who's genuinely concerned and compassionate.
They should go with the Moon route and while making him suspicious, not make him a villain. My personal theory is... that there is no villain! At least not directly. Whole thing is more closer to natural accident similar to Disney Discovery Island, what was infested by dangerous amebas. Just with killer hybrids. So I personally would imply series of unrelated local dramas, which such institutions are full off. But the core one would be that hybrids were created illegally as off book hidden attraction for rich clients of particular tastes. But then escaped from cages when park was actually closed for renovation. Someone on top closed it under fake excuse, to cover illegal activity, but didn't have enough pull to actually recapture rogue assets. But thing is that those people are long gone and probably would not care. Hint toward that is actually lack of promotion of hybrids as attraction and as wild animals they could not work with humans, without supervision. Though employees heard about new mascots, they may not actually know anything about it. That is my take at least and it actually would be more interesting.
Afer finishing watching it. Yeh, it is clearly a red hearing. As some people pointed out Loyd (Lion) was actually the original main mascot. But now we see Racoon statues all over the place. Despite narration claim that they didn't have even proper costume before. I think Rambly did something what give him status as new star mascot and that could work as explanation why park was closed (killer mascots would be something well know, if it would happen during park opening). They basically were replacing assets in it with Rambly, but then things go south. So yeh, while there is a clear tension between two, I do not think AI is actually the bad guy here.
It'd be interesting if this was a "No villain" scenario. Aside from the company and abusive employees, but they're all gone and seemingly no longer an active threat.

@suspiciousamogus That wasn't the point, I'm saying the way that dialogue is written is unlike the ones for the other collectibles. For the other collectibles, it's the main character recounting their own experiences "I once drank so much, I threw up" "She was my mom's favourite" "I remember these" But for the Poodle Plush, it's written like some second person is recounting the main character's memories for them "You've never seen one of these before"

This feels like where the DM listens to players as they make theories. And checks their notes to see how close they are. But also, congrats on getting a theory on your game!
If in the end the player has to kill or destroy Rambly I'll literally cry. extra DTFU (damn that's f*cked up) points if he frantically pleads for his life or something as he is being/about to be destroyed. still will be sad in the end if that happens because I love that cute raccoon. The part where Rambly goes into the monologue after killing Molly is really good.
do not ever tell them want you want to not happen, because some men just want to watch the world burn (this has happened to me with a cartoon that was new, i cant quite remember it, it was back in 2012 I think)
I'd honestly be super disappointed if Rambley turned out evil, having an AI character being on our side is such a breath of fresh air. Mascot games like Fnaf have always seemed to be about destruction and ruin and the one thing I noticed a lot of people have always seemed to want is to restore the characters back to what they once were. To repair them. So far I can't recall a single mascot game actually doing that, at best it's been about picking up the pieces and putting things to rest, especially whatever ghosts seems to linger. I don't know if Indigo will go that route, but there seems to be hints of it given Rambley's plan, then again... there seems to be hints pointing towards all sorts of conclusions. Honestly the thing I'm most curious about is that Ramble berry, how in the world did it get out of the arcade game?
@@squiboco Oh... you're right, I didn't even realize that until you mentioned it. It is "helping" more than "repairing/fixing", but it does fit. The game completely slipped my mind when thinking about mascot games.

Honestly the double eye texture issue just looks like light reflections in the eye because it’s so dark black, I would have thought nothing of it and the light was just reflecting lol
Just a personal theory, but I think the noise that wards off Lloyd is just an alarm related to the heart monitor feature that Rambley mentions the Critter Cuff has when you get it. Getting "up close & personal" with Lloyd was Ed's 1st real brush with the living mascots. His heartrate spikes in panic, the alarm goes off/lights up, & Lloyd's driven off. By the time of Mollie's chase though, it *doesn't* react. Ed's gotten into the swing of things enough to keep his cool (enough to try - & fail - to fight Mollie off when she catches him instead of freezing like he did when Lloyd grabbed him).
I'd like to add on the idea of fight or flight and how that might also make sense to why the alarm might not have triggered against molly. With molly, the player notices and registers the threat from enough distance to let their flight response kick in, but with Lloyd, he catches the player off guard, grabbing onto them and practically closing off any way to either fight or flight, which in turn would raise your sense of dread and likely your heartrate more. Just some food for thought.
As long as Rambley is genuine and just a lil loveable guy tryna help, I will be perfectly happy. I refuse to watch that particular GT video cuz I am too scared they will make a good point.
They don't besides maybe one? Most of them are just "well sure this COULD be him being silly, but what if it ISN'T?!" I'd say the best point they make is the Molly Macaw animatronic saying "Rambley hurts Lloyd!" over and over, which is definitely suspicious. Also I'm surprised he didn't mention the terrible voice acting from one of the guys in the rambley mask voice recording- I mean, it could just be a bad casting, but it could also be one of them reading from a script and it's meant to be an actor acting as.. a bad actor LMFAO Edit: okay so its a reference xD but not a bad thought
None of the points they brought up were even worth a dime. If anything I just felt worse for Rambley. Viewing as a misunderstood child. (DON'T RE INTERPRET THAT IN A FNAF WAY)
If Rambley turns out to be evil, I hope there's a story arc where the player can be evil too. Rambley is friend shaped and likes trains, I'd commit horrific acts of virtual violence to earn his favor ~
Ed: But i can fix him... Laura: my brother in christ he's trying to kill you In all seriousness, i am willing to bet oh so many things he's not going to turn evil at all
@cursedGalataea Or the "rewriting history" is him trying to protect his own mental health by creating a narrative where he didn't just kill one of his friends (in a justified self-defence situation). People lie to themselves all the time, doesn't mean they have malicious intent when they do it. The rest of Rambley's lying could also be attributed to him wanting to believe the park is still operational (because he would get to do what he was made for and not be lonely), and he _drops_ that self-delusion when a guest is in harm's way. If he was actually evil, if he was responsible for the mascots going feral, he could have just kept the staff room door closed and let Molly kill you. He didn't.
@@cursedGalataeaI believe he repressed that memory because he couldnt cope with the fact that he killed molly, and instead convinced himself that he helped her. Or something like that anyway.
Talking about the similarities between Isaac and Walt reminded me of the old myth that Walt Disney was cryogenicly frozen under his statue at the theme park so that he could be brought back to life later. Could you imagine if the big twist was that it wasn't a myth in the Indigo Park universe and he was actually frozen under the theme park somewhere? ...Isaacs statue does move it's head to look at you when you enter the park.

12:45 I completely agree with how great this part is. It's SOOO GOOOD when a character shows genuine emotional vulnerability and opens their heart to another character. It's a sign of maturity, trust, and affection. I love it.
I feel like when the animatronic says “he hurts Lloyd” they are referring to the employees, remeber rambley is still in the digital world so he can’t do it, the animatronic even says “not rambley”, lastly remember how the characters act more animal rather then human, and think how lions act, aggressive and dangerous, so the employees with have to hurt Lloyd to get him to behave

21:13 Bro, that 'I know what happens but need to shut up' feeling has got me looking back to when I watched Death Note with my family and I was the only one who knew the story beats already. With my how my mum loves trying to solve the mystery along with the characters (big fan of detective shows) I felt like I had to poker face as hard as Light. "Oh, you think so? That's interesting to think about" type beats.
Hey my mum enjoyed Death Note too! But yeah, I know that feeling; except with Dangan Ronpa...she pretty much whipped through the trials when we watched the anime together.
29:26 Game Theory didn’t show the entire scene. Sure, Rambly got jealous, but they cut-off Rambly asking why his friends didn’t get one too. He got mad for them and stuck out for them since only Lloyd got one. That’s the problem with this theory; Mason paved out character details during production about how Lloyd acts and he’s a jerk, Rambly tried to gloss-over what was happening since he just wants someone to talk to and help Indigo Park(if they’re desperate enough, they tend to see red as green), and why would Rambly kill Mollie? He has the motive for Lloyd, but not for Mollie unless if it was an act of mercy or a last resort for Rambly. Edit: Uniquegeese’s video: Meet the Cast-Indigo Park, at the 6;23(In that video), Mason states that Lloyd is self-centered and that the cast can barely tolerate him. So, even more of a reason why Rambly doesn’t like him. Imagine having this cocky jerk get this special merch while you and your friends get the normal merch…of course, you’d be mad at that.
Sometimes, Game Theory just needs to do more research on the Developer and their dev logs or else they miss crucial details like Mason directly stating that Lloyd is so self-centered, the main cast can barely tolerate him.
This is a great Theory and all, but personally I don't think Salem or Rambley are the Villains of Indigo Park, but maybe a different Mascot entirely. One which we haven't seen in the game at all yet, perhaps a new character in a future chapter.
Rambley does get special merch... His normal plush, spray-painted gold. The difference in effort between that and the retro Lloyd plush is night vs day.
Why would Rambley turn out to be 'evil'? Rambley has very much laid out his motivations already: --Hopes the player will trust him and be his first friend since being abandoned 8 years ago, so he won't have to be alone anymore. --Hopes to restore Indigo Park to be the amazing place it was before it was abandoned, because.. --Hopes to give his guests the best Indigo Park experience they can have, since this is his whole purpose in existing. --Wants to keep the player alive, because the player dying would fail all three of the previous goals. Rambley has already demonstrated the ability and willingness to break rules/protocol/his script in order to save the player's life; this shows he is not rigidly defined by his programming at this point. He has also expressed willingness to be open and honest with the player, and lying to the player doesn't benefit him in anyway related to the above motivations. He was really surprised and panicked when he saw the player being chased by Mollie, too. Every sign points to that Rambley really does care about the player. Sure, there are no small number of questions to be answered, but we only just met him and started our adventure. I'd love a chance to just stop and ask Rambley some questions about what he knows of the state of the park, and the mascots in particular, but given that we seem to have a silent protagonist at the moment, it doesn't seem like that would happen. I really like the idea of Rambley being an antithesis to GlaDOS, though. I enjoy the concept of having an AI friend helping me through the park, and trying his best to keep me safe because he genuinely cares about me. And I especially love the idea that I am _his_ ray of hope, too. Knowing that I am, in Rambley's words, his spark of sunshine, motivates me to brave an abandoned theme park full of killer mascots and who knows what other dangers, all just so I can help this lonely abandoned AI who has had it so rough, to finally have a purpose again. The idea of Rambley turning around and trying to murder the player at some point is almost unthinkable to me. At least, I don't believe he'd do so of his _own_ accord. Granted he's been abandoned and alone for almost a decade, and given the state of things, some kind of mental breakdown at some point is not something I'd put out of the question. Even so, Rambley gets the benefit of the doubt in my book. I _am_ a little dubious about the idea that the park can be restored, but if Rambley thinks it can be done, I'll gladly place my trust in him. And hey, for all I know this 'magic kingdom' of his really does have a little magic left in it...
I’d actually be happy to see him being a friend, but I’d also love the idea of him having some breakdown that causes a little doubt. Kind of like Weatley, but not power mad or anything and probably not as much destruction. Maybe more like a nervousness about the main character leaving him. I’d be happy with Rambley being good though, but I’m also interested in seeing what uniquegeese plans on doing.
One small issue. AI's are currently unable to feel emotions, meaning that Rambley is unable to have a mental breakdown. He's an AI, he only knows what we teach him. It's impossible to actually teach emotions. Or at least very hard to do so. Emotions is pretty much just chemicals that our brain interprets as emotions.
Please god if Rambley is evil I will cry so hard like I genuinely love him so SO much I don't think I can handle that kinda betrayal man-- like I'd just die lmao
Welcome to another episode of "what's worse?"! Today's question; what's worse?: A) Watching your comfort character turn out to be the bad guy and have the main character have to kill him or B) Accidentally seeing gore of your comfort character You decide!
My theory: the macaw animatronic says "that's not rambley, he hurts Loyd, he hurts Loyd" Rambley got a costume and a mascot..... He isn't in control of this mutant raccoon. One that looks like him but is much much more dangerous than the ai assistant
I for one, just hope we get a mascot horror game where the cute friendly mascot assistant that is actually friendly to the player and doesn't betray you down the road.
At the very end of his livestream two weeks ago (the one where he watches Matt patt play. I just watched it and this was at 2:28:00 I think?) someone donated and said they needa know if Rambly will turn evil for their own mental health and he confirmed Rambly isn’t evil. I haven’t watched this video yet but since it’s gonna get more views than the end of a livestream he’s probably intentionally more vague so people can keep theorizing, but yeah, he isn’t evil
29:36 I think this point is kind of weak because it isn't just that Rambly doesn't have one and is mad that Lloyd does. He is angry because Lloyd is the only one that does. He asks why the others don't have one either after the theorists cut him off.
Hear me out: Rambley is secretly evil, but not intensionally. He genuinely wants to help and restore the park, but he has no concept of the bad that could occur due to the restoration, nor how much pain the mascots were in.
@@pemanilnoob Not entirely true. He could be so focused on his park and “bringing smiles to the children” that he robs his “friends” of free will and is basically torturing them. Salem is probably also evil, but is basically just holding a mirror up to Rambley. One of those “we aren’t so different you and I” kinda of things.
@@blackchibisan8116 you didn’t say a single thing to imply that rambley would be intentionally evil And I generally disagree, but i will not do any sort of lore argument discussion crap
@@pemanilnoob I think this is less lore discussion and more if one has to be intentionally causing harm to be evil. Neglect is still a form of abuse and abuse is an evil visited upon others. Even if we listen to Molly’s VO on the ride we can tell she isn’t enjoying what she does but Rambley seems entirely clueless… or is playing clueless.
The one thing that keeps coming up for me is that mollie is in the cage in rambley rush, but seconds later she’s out in the open, being corrupted by Salem, and at no point do you see her pass you. This wouldn’t make any sense, unless, the one you fight is not actually mollie, but some sort of evil clone. Salem might be keeping the real mascots hostage, and she may have replaced them with evil clones, thus “and all my old friends are united again”. Rambley’s plan might be to get rid of the imposter clones, by killing them off 1 by 1. He might need the help of the real mascots who have physical bodies, to kill Salem. This also explains Lloyd and why the critter cuffs have a built in deterrent, which I assume rambley installed. Also in the music video, where he “fixes” mollie, could be replacing her evil clone with the real mascot. “He hurts Lloyd” might be him trying to hurt the clone. There is proof of a physical Rambley, in the fact that when you show the Rambley mask to Rambley and he plays the audio, the two staff members talk about being replaced, and right after they got the RACOON costume. These might not necessarily be clones, but also rogue physical counterparts in the sense that all of the characters might have an AI like Rambley, since Rambley has a physical counterpart. This also makes sense because Lloyd used to be the mascot before Rambley was, as seen in the intro video with Isaac indigo. This could make sense, with how Rambley is trapped in the entrance until you free him. Each of the AIs might be trapped in a different area of the map. But that’s just a theory, a GAME theory.
Also, I’ve checked back on mason’s playthroughs, and he takes damage during rambley rush in all of them. Having created the game, it’s safe to assume that he has played through this numerous times, and must be pretty good at it. I searched TH-cam, and cannot find someone who played rambley rush without taking any damage. I believe that there may be secret lore if you beat it without any damage taken. Mason did confirm that there were things that nobody has found yet, and I believe this could be it. Unfortunately, I don’t have access to the game, so I can’t test this, but I was wondering if anyone has beaten rambley rush without taking damage.
_My_ game theory is that there are multiple murderous mascots of the same character running around. Proof: that absolute nonsense at the beginning of the Molly chase sequence where she teleports in front of you and goes "nothing personal, kid"
I mean the build up to that phrase is fantastic: "Do YOU know why RAMBLEY the Raccoon loves RAMBLEY's railroad?" (wait 1.5 seconds to make you think while trying to assess the situation) " 'Cause I like trains!" [-> me on my way to laugh and cry while getting one of my biggest smile in 6 months of nonsense and constant work. ;) ]
Salem Skunk's name could be a reference to the Salem Witch Trials (1692-1693). People were falsely accused of witchcraft and had to confess or be hung. Their spell (or witchcraft) could've been seen as a bad influence on the other mascot, when she’s actually doing something good (just like Tom said). I posted this in the Game Theory's comment section.
I can only guess his name is Edwin. Reference to the mystery of Edwin Drood where the characters in the unfinished story try to solve a murder. Edwin must have some sort of unsolved mystery relating to their past in the park.
I think one of the many things that indigo park devs got right when making the game is how well the story is distributed. no matter if game theory is correct on it the lore or not, most of the recent indie horror games, such as Poppy playtime, have executed the way they only hinted at certain parts of the story allowing the player to come up with their own theories of what might’ve happened in the story, makes indigo park an actually good game, because of how well the lore and story of what happened to the park is nicely timed and not revealing too much all at once, not allowing the player to automatically know what’s going on in the story- Props to you guys on that! ^^
8:25 I would love to see that the protagonist’s name would be a reference to hoot and chief or other influential figures in Disney urban exploration, since that’s basically what the protagonist is doing and it’s a fascinating subset of Disney parks fandom
I hope rambley is a sweet villain, someone who just wants to be free from the AI but doesn't want to see anyone truly hurt and wants to protect the player. I think the end with him closing the door on molly was him reacting to a code that has him required to help/save the humans from harm. I truly think he will be a sweet boy who only does bad things to his friends when necessary to protect humans. I also think the animatronic saying rambley hurts lloyd is talking about the cuff the player gets at the beginning of the game. I truly think he doesnt want to hurt the mascots.
I newly learned about Indigo Park and already, I like what I've seen. Rambley is so cute and I missed out on the plushies, but already, I like him. I can't wait to see more. I really hope Rambley is just a little guy, a little buddy.
Oh boy. Was waiting for you to react to this. You uploaded it quick today too. But yeah, I think it's funny people are theorizing Rambley to be evil when you confirmed he wasn't multiple times. 😂
I will point out, not being "evil" doesn't mean not being an antagonist in the story, or doing no wrong. I fully believe Rambley's just a little guy, who just earnestly wanted you to have a good time and for the park to be put back together, but like... he interprets things a bit differently. He doesn't really seem to _get_ that Mollie was trying to actually _murder_ the player, and does not acknowledge either that Mollie is dead, or that the player's life was at risk (though, he cuts himself off when he mentions the state of the mascots at the end of the Mollie chase, so I suppose we don't know what he actually thinks). It's not that he is, or will ever be malicious, he just _doesn't understand._ And my theory is that this is exactly what is going to cause some big problems. He's definitely gonna have you do some things you shouldn't be doing, and he'll be _just as surprised as you are_ when it goes poorly.
I love Rambley and hope he's good, but he literally says "you never really know what lies beneath the surface..." If anything, I hope he's just like Monika or something where he just wants companionship and goes too far but he's not totally evil or anything lol
I already know the MC has got to be named Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist. He's going on a similar journey of bringing the park back to life like Edward brings his brother back to life.
UniqueGeese could do a animated shorts series of Rambley and friends, including Lloyd, doing a QnA giving vague, to avoid spoilers for future chapters, yet canonical answers to the community's most asked questions. X3 plus it will sate the fandom's hunger for lore and answers while the devs work on the future chapters. X3 Plus the QnA could help flesh out the character and Personalities of the living mascots. X3
Dude, it has to feel like you're constantly about to explode, watching someone try to solve your game's lore and just having to sit there and be like "Interesting..." when internally you're just SCREAMING about every detail they're getting right or wrong
Not to mention thinking to yourself, "How can I possibly insert this cool possibility the Game Theory team has brought up into the next chapter, without causing a lengthy delay or changing the pre-existing script in an unnatural way?"
Just a quick thing here for any future theories on this game, Pay attention to the opening sequences. Two friends are chatting about RETURNING to a park they went to as kids. And throughout the game, through the collectables, see the same thing. you have obviously been to the park before. Now, if you take a quick listen to a few of Rambley's first words to the player, they are "I don't seem to have your face in our guest list. Is this your first time here at the park? Or did you just get plastic surgery?". This is a small detail, but might imply that the player might have been involved in some sort of accident at some point. Either that, or the 8 years difference might be affecting it... or its just for emersion. Anyway, W game, I've been looking forward to it for so long.
Honestly I interpret this as more less due to how much time has passed since Ed has last been to the park. We know that at minimum it's been 8 years or more. Can't really assume age but Ed was likely a child during his last visit. While I am not sure this detail was planned this way, but even the best facial recognition tech we have today struggles at matching childhood pics to adult one. I work a lot with this tech professionally. So while I can't really confirm if the limits of this real world tech were thought about when planning this dialog line, this detail alone screams more like a lot of time has past instead of it implying Ed had plastic surgery or some sort of other disfigurement, to me at least. This line seems more like a prescripted generic line Ramblry's AI would use when he doesn't recognize a visitor.
@rawrdino7046 That's also possible. The fact is that we as players don't know how long it's been since Ed was last at the park or how long the Rambley AI has existed.
Here is what I think about it: I don’t think Rambley is the villain, if you think about it the park was closed for years which means nobody could fix his problems and maybe because of that he can be sometimes wrong about things. And about the Rambley hurting Lloyd maybe what she meant was that she was answering someone’s question if Rambley hurts Lloyd and she answered it that it wasn’t him but he (maybe the staff) hurts Lloyd.
My guess is that the Rambley hurts Lloyd line is in reference to the critter cuff emitting the noise that scared off Lloyd later in the chapter. Which could easily be an automatic trigger and not Rambley our AI friend's conscious doing.
About what the Anomatronic Mollie's statement we have to acknowledge that she was damaged and her voice module was probably on the spritz so what we heard over the static may not have been the complete statement.
Yeah… I’m not convinced she was actually saying anything. It’s certainly not distinguishable. I really think the “he hurts Lloyd” line is really weak evidence for any theory on this game.
In terms of Rambley lying, or perhaps a hint at something else, I took note of the fact that after he mentions how he doesn't have eyes in the backstage of the theater, a camera is in there watching us
Rambley’s Railroad foreshadows the order of the characters in the chapters. 1-Mollie (confirmed) 2-Finley (teased) 3-Salem (seemingly) 4-Lloyd (not impossible)
we saw lloyd before properly meeting mollie(even if she was stalking us in the train ride) does that mean he'll be elsewhere? might be, he isnt dead exactly. but like-? yknow? that makes the (not impossible) make sense tbh. i think we're gonna meet finley for sure- i mean- we did go into oceanic odyssey which is his ride yknow? he might die which- worrisome tbh. more deaths is- eheheheh- youtube is gonna have a funky time with the playthroughs if the deaths get gorier. what if they're all fluffy? that'd be funky!
Honestly, I'm just excited to see this game grow and improve. It's going to be like reliving the release of the original Bendy and the Inc Machine. Seeing the game get more fleshed out while also improving graphics, models, animations, etc with the release of new chapters.
I extremely love how all Mason could do is just sitting there unable to say anything while having a LOT to say in mind ( i can see him holding his smile many time it's so cute😂) Also, the way he spamming "I can't confirm nor deny it" is kinda funny to me. He's trying his best to not ruin the fun for us... can't wait for next chapter
i think that rambly is honestly good since he just wants to help but I think he knows what happend and maybe he also knows that there is no saving his friends and wants to rebuild new ones ones that arent evil or under the influence of abuse or intoxicated
I'm more in the mindset that the rambley WE follow through the game is good. Like no joke, or trick or anything. Pure good natured, since he was stuck at the entrance. While a different version or upgraded one is like Lloyd or Molly. If there can be two Mollys there can be two Rambleys. While I theorize there was another AI, which got corrupted. Possibly after an attempt to hack the park by a competitor went horribly wrong. Is the one who caused the whole park shutdown. Corrupting the other AI, rambley being immune to an extent at least the one at the entrance. This AI being Salem, ironically used as the park's security system as opposed to Rambley being more of the greeting tour guide. While the supposed hackers being the ones where that Lamb plush originated. Since as Rambley said it wasn't an Indigo Park object, must be from another place.. Belongs in the trash.
not sure its ai- like- physical rogue creature is probably closer to what you were saying but thinking of ai in the same sense as rambley just- doesnt click especially since you said two mollies that being likely ai and physical mollie. yknow? fleshyyy juicy body mollieeee hehe
Mr. Geese, Rambley is not evil! You must prove to the fans that Rambley is pure good all the way! I know you can! Just don’t let any nonsense like that get to you! Just prove them wrong! Prove to them that Rambley is a really good boy!
Now let's not get ahead of ourselves. We don't know the story of the game yet. True good proves itself in the end. Trying to get him to change that could backfire and make the story worse. Let him cook.
i remember being a fan of uniquegeese a long time ago seeing him get so much recognition and fame from a project that he and many people love is so amazing to me i hope you and indigo park grow even more
We love a developer like Unique Geese I mean cmon a humble and an overall a bubbly personality... what more could we wish for. Loved this video and the game itself! Great work!
I think the Salem The Skunk has something to do the park, because Mollie said "Get back in you're cage Bird" btw Mollie (Robot) Said "He hurt Lloyd, He hurt Lloyd"
You can see him struggling to not say something all of this video and I love it. Also - I haven't had the time to play the first chapter, and the DSAF reference was a bit of a jumpscare. I freaking love DSAF and Playtime with Percy, the references are all getting to me and it makes me feel like there are more I'm not getting lol.
Even if nothing can be confirmed or denied in the video, it's still pretty fun to see the reaction to it, along with the small comments throughout. Me and my brother would talk to each other about the shows we watch, and sometimes one of us didn't watch the show, and neither of us likes spoilers, so we would try our darndest to talk about the moment so that we don't spoil, and to convince the other to watch the show. This video feels like that. I saw the thumbnail of Game theory's video on "Rambley being Evil" and didn't click it, because I don't feel like seeing evidence to support it, lol. There's a lot of cool stuff in their video besides him being evil, so I should've watched it. Seeing the title made me feel like hearing the theories like, "one of the characters in the show was in a coma all along and dreamed up everything" thing. Also, reading the other comments, the idea that Rambley doesn't understand he's doing evil could be interesting, but I prefer a buddy in the game. So...some of the theories align...I see, interesting.
I'm a big Disney Parks fan and I loved seeing all the references! Indigo Park is actually the first indie horror game I played since FNAF. I loved seeing the Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln reference banners on the mane stage and the rounded trash cans! It's something I haven't seen anyone mention yet and I think it should be appreciated :)
Can’t wait to see Chapter 2. Also, just out of curiosity, the Rambley Mask that has an audio recording, when a guy says “old sport”, is that a Dayshit at Freddy’s Reference?
He did thankfully confirm that in this video, which does make more sense than Gatsby (the only character I think of that says old sport) working at Indigo Park
I hope Rambley doesn't go evil because well theirs been so many different types of games where the trusted companions turns against you it would cool if Rambley stays as your companion from start to finish in this game and the character you are playing as and rambley well reopen indica park once all of the evil things are clear and safe for the public. Anyway i guess we will have to wait and see where this goes but im sure the dev is most definitely reading the comments not just here but everywhere else and knows how much people adores Rambley hopefully Rambley will never go evil but like i said we will have to wait see where the story goes
Unrelated to the video, but I just had a realisation of how big this game is Rambley is the top campaign in makeship, and as of writing this there are 9549 units sold, and assuming the sales cut is around, let's guess 70/30, that's 200k dollars ON TOP of the kickstarter that's about to hit 250k dollars. *That's almost half a million dollars off of a single fucking chapter and the numbers are still rising...* It's genuinely bizarre to watch Mason's videos and streams ever since he had around 90k subs 3 years ago and then see him getting this huge of a success, and I feel nothing but happiness for him, and if I, a rando on the internet that just happens to like his stuff, am this happy, I cannot imagine how Mason is feeling right now
We love our good boy! It's so refreshing to have a good companion. Too many games do the obvious and it's so nice to FINALLY have a friend through the scary stuff. We love our beloved Racoon.
I genuinely hope not. I'd much rather he pull an Alex Hirsch and make fake leaks or smth to mislead than actively change the vision he has right now. Changing it based on theories just leads to messy bs
@@kokirij0167 kinda reminds me abt how bendy chapter 3 was originally not going to be about alice angel but audiences loved alice so much that the dev team essentially rewrote all of chapter 3 to center around alice
I hope not. Works of media that do that often end up being worse off, because the creators rejecting correct fan theories means giving up on hints or foreshadowing they wrote in originally.
NightHawk made a theory too! I really like it, and I just noticed Mollie's art has no hands but her irl counterpart does(which goes with his theory) Also NightHawk defends Salem in another theory vid!!
I really hope Rambly isn't evil. He's my favorite silly boi! And I can't wait for Chapter 2 of this amazing game you're working on! I'll be waiting for it, but until then, toodles!
The game definitely deserves a chef's kiss. If you manage to get Rambley as a real life AI bot for people's cell phones, I would not be surprised you made extreme amounts of money from it. The world is beautiful, the chase areas work, the voice work solid, but congratulations, Rambley has stolen the hearts of many, and is the cornerstone to your success.
My theory on the music video is that rambley isn’t “rewriting history”, he’s just repressing the memory of killing mollie because it hurts him to think about, and he would much rather believe he saved her.
One thing i would of liked to see is when Rambley is getting information on you at the desk is one failed attempt to login on that screen then doing an override login with admin or something just showing him going out of his way to get you in. I can understand that this is a very minor thing that could of been added just think of the hidden lore that could of been out there. loved the game can't wait for the next chapter.
I just watched someone play this and it's genuinely good. I thought I would hate Rambley when he first showed up, but he is the best part of the game. The voice acting, animation and writing are awesome. Super glad this game got funded. It's free and it's better than a significant number of paid games I've played
Yeah, not realizing i can click the collectibles for extra dialogue was something that happened to me as well. a "click to show to Rambley" tooltip when hovering over the collectibles would be very helpful
As someone who usually takes a while to warm up to games (except fnaf and undertale which were immediate loves) it took me till chapter 3 to get on the poppy train I have to say I almost immediately loved indigo park! It reminds me of that first excitement I experienced when security breach came out! I love the little play on to Disney and it just looks amazing over all! Keep up the amazing work my friend! You’re doing great! I love all the designs you made they’re all well thought and lovely
I'm loving the game itself so far. The music is really on point for me and my 4 year old sings along and asks for the Rambley Review. Good job with Chapter 1. Can't wait for more of the game!
Eds real name could be eddison: i mean Thomas eddison invented lightbulb, in the credit song one of the lyrics are "you have given us a spark of sunshine to this kingdoms faithfull devotee", what does give out light like lyrics say: lightbulb. Edit: yes I know eddison is a last name but it sounds like i name. Im not american.

At least the dev isn't like the one from Hello Neighbor that begged MatPat for theories.
He has my respect there.
iirc wasn't that just the publisher trying to push their messy game for a gt video
You know that it was Tinybuild (The Publisher) and not the Dynamic Pixels (The Developers) that tweeted those, and that Tinybuild's CEO also apologized for the tweets in Matpat's subreddit. Right?
And also the fact that those tweets were like years ago
people need to realize that the publishers are not the developers
Because by the time hello neighbour was fully released, it was irrelevant and hated
alpha 1 is much scarier than released 😢
I've always loved the detail after Mollie gets decapped that Rambley says "I can see that youre scare-- angr-- upset..."
It's such a small detail but it genuinely builds the scene so much because you can actually feel/imagine the face the Player is making that the computer would have a hard time picking apart "scared" from "angry" and settling on a general "upset" because their face is so contorted in fear and dismay of what they just saw.
Wasn't confused also sometbing said? Or am I imaging thing lmao
I noticed that and I thought it was depressing
I think the phrase animatronic Mollie was saying is "Not Rambly - he hate Lloyd". Maybe a joke playing part in an older routine?
@@greenstarlover1 I keep trying to hear "he hates Lloyd", but that's a very strong "ur" sound between the "h" and "ts" sounds.
To those curious, at 8:41 you can see the gate with Rambley painted on the right. Two seconds later, you have the Isaac video with Lloyd clearly painted in that exact same spot on the same gate.
@@GeassX fair.

I'll be sad too 😢 I don't think the cute AI character will turn against us or become evil
I very much doubt rambley is a villain…

I can honestly see that happening, game theory worthy 👍
Makes sense why Mollie doesn't trigger it.
Ooo I really like that
This makes a LOT of sense.
As long as Rambley is genuine and just a lil loveable guy tryna help, I will be perfectly happy.
I refuse to watch that particular GT video cuz I am too scared they will make a good point.
You’re sigma
They don't besides maybe one? Most of them are just "well sure this COULD be him being silly, but what if it ISN'T?!"
I'd say the best point they make is the Molly Macaw animatronic saying "Rambley hurts Lloyd!" over and over, which is definitely suspicious. Also I'm surprised he didn't mention the terrible voice acting from one of the guys in the rambley mask voice recording- I mean, it could just be a bad casting, but it could also be one of them reading from a script and it's meant to be an actor acting as.. a bad actor LMFAO
Edit: okay so its a reference xD but not a bad thought
None of the points they brought up were even worth a dime. If anything I just felt worse for Rambley. Viewing as a misunderstood child. (DON'T RE INTERPRET THAT IN A FNAF WAY)

No, it's evil of Rambly to lie and say you saved Molly instead of killing her
@cursedGalataea Or the "rewriting history" is him trying to protect his own mental health by creating a narrative where he didn't just kill one of his friends (in a justified self-defence situation).

Game Theory didn’t show the entire scene.
Edit:
Uniquegeese’s video: Meet the Cast-Indigo Park, at the 6;23(In that video), Mason states that Lloyd is self-centered and that the cast can barely tolerate him.
@@ryanbourke7398Obviously the poodle did it
Why would Rambley turn out to be 'evil'? Rambley has very much laid out his motivations already:
--Hopes the player will trust him and be his first friend since being abandoned 8 years ago, so he won't have to be alone anymore.
Ah yes, the ye olde magik of the great wizard, Dr. Moreau
I’d actually be happy to see him being a friend, but I’d also love the idea of him having some breakdown that causes a little doubt. Kind of like Weatley, but not power mad or anything and probably not as much destruction. Maybe more like a nervousness about the main character leaving him. I’d be happy with Rambley being good though, but I’m also interested in seeing what uniquegeese plans on doing.
this!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
One small issue. AI's are currently unable to feel emotions, meaning that Rambley is unable to have a mental breakdown. He's an AI, he only knows what we teach him. It's impossible to actually teach emotions. Or at least very hard to do so. Emotions is pretty much just chemicals that our brain interprets as emotions.
that just means rambley has good/noble intentions
he can still be EVIL without being against the player
Please god if Rambley is evil I will cry so hard like I genuinely love him so SO much I don't think I can handle that kinda betrayal man-- like I'd just die lmao
I hate that damn raccoon I hope he's evil and I get to erases him forever I'd like him to beg as I press a big red button that delete him
Welcome to another episode of "what's worse?"!
Today's question; what's worse?:
A) Watching your comfort character turn out to be the bad guy and have the main character have to kill him
or
B) Accidentally seeing gore of your comfort character
You decide!
My theory: the macaw animatronic says "that's not rambley, he hurts Loyd, he hurts Loyd"
Rambley got a costume and a mascot..... He isn't in control of this mutant raccoon. One that looks like him but is much much more dangerous than the ai assistant
Yeah! Like you’d describe a clone of yourself as the “not-you”. So “Not-Rambley” would be his living mascot and if he has any of his hatred of Loyd….
I agree!
that makes so much sense- oh my god- i hope we can see how fluffy mutant rambley is- that'd be the best!
At first I thought she was saying "Yes, Lloyd- Yes, Lloyd- Yes, Lloyd" which I thought was something weird 😭

Yay!

Then he’s not evil
To be evil is to intentionally want to hurt people, if he thinks he’s doing what’s right, he’s not evil, just wrong
@@pemanilnoob
Not entirely true. He could be so focused on his park and “bringing smiles to the children” that he robs his “friends” of free will and is basically torturing them. Salem is probably also evil, but is basically just holding a mirror up to Rambley. One of those “we aren’t so different you and I” kinda of things.
@@blackchibisan8116aren't his "friends" not real and mutant animals though
@@blackchibisan8116 you didn’t say a single thing to imply that rambley would be intentionally evil
And I generally disagree, but i will not do any sort of lore argument discussion crap
@@pemanilnoob
I think this is less lore discussion and more if one has to be intentionally causing harm to be evil.
That is a pretty nice theory
Thanks!
it's supposed to represent the mascots being mistreated by the staff
Also, I’ve checked back on mason’s playthroughs, and he takes damage during rambley rush in all of them. Having created the game, it’s safe to assume that he has played through this numerous times, and must be pretty good at it. I searched TH-cam, and cannot find someone who played rambley rush without taking any damage. I believe that there may be secret lore if you beat it without any damage taken. Mason did confirm that there were things that nobody has found yet, and I believe this could be it. Unfortunately, I don’t have access to the game, so I can’t test this, but I was wondering if anyone has beaten rambley rush without taking damage.
interesting thoughts!! i do like this idea :>
_My_ game theory is that there are multiple murderous mascots of the same character running around. Proof: that absolute nonsense at the beginning of the Molly chase sequence where she teleports in front of you and goes "nothing personal, kid"

33:15 It would be interesting if Salem’s section of the train ride secretly foreshadows how they might die if we are to encounter them later on.

Possibly, though if they were alluding to that, they would’ve named her Anne Hutchinson or something similar.

TIL about Charles Dickens’s unfinished novel. Interesting.
so I read somewhere that Rambley is a good character. he's just programmed this way and truly wants the best for everyone.
I think one of the many things that indigo park devs got right when making the game is how well the story is distributed. no matter if game theory is correct on it the lore or not, most of the recent indie horror games, such as Poppy playtime, have executed the way they only hinted at certain parts of the story allowing the player to come up with their own theories of what might’ve happened in the story, makes indigo park an actually good game, because of how well the lore and story of what happened to the park is nicely timed and not revealing too much all at once, not allowing the player to automatically know what’s going on in the story-
Props to you guys on that! ^^
Dude not even a day later 🤯🤯🤯bro is quick

He likes game theory that makes sense
I can see him growing a bit overprotective or possessive, but out of genuine concern. After all, you are the first friend he’s had in eight years.
Dang that placeholder for the interaction where he would yap about stuff got me laughing up like "yo thassa egg man idk what to tell ya" 😂

R.I.P for the top hat rambley we never got to see
I newly learned about Indigo Park and already, I like what I've seen.
same lol, love GT but I literally got the video on my recommended and just said ''my boy is NOT evil leave him aloneeee😭''
WHY ARE YOU EVERYWHERE
@@i2eptilian he has the mind of a 3 year old~

I love Indigo Park so much good job on the game development. Can't wait for part 2 to come out
Just a quick thing here for any future theories on this game, Pay attention to the opening sequences.
Or maybe they didn't had AI when he went to the park
@rawrdino7046 That's also possible. The fact is that we as players don't know how long it's been since Ed was last at the park or how long the Rambley AI has existed.
Here is what I think about it: I don’t think Rambley is the villain, if you think about it the park was closed for years which means nobody could fix his problems and maybe because of that he can be sometimes wrong about things. And about the Rambley hurting Lloyd maybe what she meant was that she was answering someone’s question if Rambley hurts Lloyd and she answered it that it wasn’t him but he (maybe the staff) hurts Lloyd.
I always thought it was "hes not friendly, he hurts lloyd,he hurts lloyd" not rambley lol
Rambley is NOT EVIL. He just a cute raccoon mascot :3
In terms of Rambley lying, or perhaps a hint at something else, I took note of the fact that after he mentions how he doesn't have eyes in the backstage of the theater, a camera is in there watching us

There's a lot of cool stuff in their video besides him being evil, so I should've watched it. *That's almost half a million dollars off of a single fucking chapter and the numbers are still rising...*
It's genuinely bizarre to watch Mason's videos and streams ever since he had around 90k subs 3 years ago and then see him getting this huge of a success, and I feel nothing but happiness for him, and if I, a rando on the internet that just happens to like his stuff, am this happy, I cannot imagine how Mason is feeling right now

Congrats on Chapter 2 being funded! Can't wait for it!!!!! Loving this game so far!
I noticed the Jurassic Park and the DSAF references. I see you, and it’d be really cool if this project takes off
Wait, what was the jurassic park reference specifically?

Imagine Geese just deciding to contradict the theories on purpose, just to make the theorists lose their sleep 🤣
Bro would be taking pages out of Scott Cawthon's book; being a massive troll 💀
Please no, I don't want Indigo Park becoming Hello Neighbor
NightHawk made a theory too! I really like it, and I just noticed Mollie's art has no hands but her irl counterpart does(which goes with his theory)
Also NightHawk defends Salem in another theory vid!!
I really hope Rambly isn't evil. He's my favorite silly boi! And I can't wait for Chapter 2 of this amazing game you're working on! I'll be waiting for it, but until then, toodles!
Rambley is love rambley is life
.....DO NOTTTT-
Wake up babe, new comfort character dropped
The game definitely deserves a chef's kiss. If you manage to get Rambley as a real life AI bot for people's cell phones, I would not be surprised you made extreme amounts of money from it. The world is beautiful, the chase areas work, the voice work solid, but congratulations, Rambley has stolen the hearts of many, and is the cornerstone to your success.
My theory on the music video is that rambley isn’t “rewriting history”, he’s just repressing the memory of killing mollie because it hurts him to think about, and he would much rather believe he saved her.

i actually saw that collectible as i ran past it, and i was like "DANGIT I MISSED IT" but kept going cuz i didn't wanna do it again.
I feel like a "listen to Rambley" text box type of thing on the collectables would help
I was also thinking of some sort of animal experimentation or something because of that "get back in your cage, bird" line
I love old Rambley voice, like that its included. Current Rambley is awesome.
I'm glad the kickstarter fundraiser was successful! Great job, I can't wait to see chapter 2
Bro this is your big opportunity to really be a pain for game theory (in a good way) and to be honest you've handled it extremely well. Kudos Mason.
As someone who usually takes a while to warm up to games (except fnaf and undertale which were immediate loves) it took me till chapter 3 to get on the poppy train
I have to say I almost immediately loved indigo park!
My personal theory is Ed is just Kevin Defunctland
WHO WROTE THE INDIGO PARK THEME THO???!!!!
INDIGO'S CRITTER CUFF: A COMPLICATED HISTORY!!!!!
This theory is interesting. Please dont go down the Hello Neighbor devs route and try to adjust your story to match or twist the theories people make.
23:31 OH THE BRITSH
23:26 This made me crack. "OH, THE BRITISH"
Honestly, I do think Rambley may turn out evil/bad.
Trust me, he won't
Eds real name could be eddison: i mean Thomas eddison invented lightbulb, in the credit song one of the lyrics are "you have given us a spark of sunshine to this kingdoms faithfull devotee", what does give out light like lyrics say: lightbulb.
Edit: yes I know eddison is a last name but it sounds like i name. Im not american.
Ed could also be Edward
