That's a great idea about the gold chain. I haven't tried putting one on this bag since the leather strap isn't removeable. They do have a gold chain version of this bag available and it is called the numero un mini! Hope that helps :)
I've been thinking of a Polene for a year. Thanks for the review,didn't realize that there were so many options with this bag! Would you say the gray is a taupe gray or a slate gray? Now to decide between Un mini or this !, Thanks!
Hi Kristine! I usually use Cadillac leather protector amzn.to/2XRFLMW but definitely try at your own risk because every bag is slightly different. I would try a small unnoticeable area first before spraying it over the entire bag.

Hi Rachel. I don't own the new ipad air so I can only give you estimates based on the measurements that I could find online. It appears the ipad air 2020 is 247.6 x 178.5 x 6.1 mm (9.75 x 7.03 x 0.24 in) while the polene backpack is 8 x 7 x 3.5". So based on this I would say the ipad won't fit.

It leans more taupe gray to me! The mini looks cute too but not convertible. If you like the chain strap, the mini is the option for you. Good luck!

Hi Mary. This is a full grain leather. I believe the Numero Un nano also comes in that as well as textured calf leather.
