What a lovely and meaningful gesture to give away these bags instead of keeping or selling them, both are fine, but giving them away to a better home is just that extra special and shows how beautiful a person you are! Have both these bags and love them (for the mini, I knotted the metal chain on the inside to convert it to a draped top handle like Chanel 19 9 and attached an adjustable leather strap to wear as a crossbody - works a gem!) XO

Ughh I’m so conflicted. I ordered the tricolor nano size, but the clasp was sewn on crooked. When I contacted customer service, they said it wasn’t a defect, so I just ended up returning it. It was a pretty disappointing experience as I’ve been looking at that bag for over a year. I’ll be taking a break from the brand, but glad it works for some people and I still think the shape is adorable.
It’s so funny that you compared the nano to the Chanel mini- I wanted a mini but with the price increases and quality issues I sort of gave up on the dream. Then I saw the Polene numero un nano and fell in love. I also love the minimalism of the brand yet how artistic the designs are. I now have two, one in black and one in camel and am in love. I highly recommend the black one- it looks great with everything! I’ve received so many compliments from strangers and was even stopped on the street by someone wanting to know what brand the bag was. I still love the timeless look of Chanel, but my Polene will just have to do!

I have the nano in the exact same color! I got it early this year and really enjoy using it this spring and summer. I think the name of the color "Lilac" is absolutely misleading and leads to wrong expectations. But it fits really well into a wardrobe with lots of neutrals and pinks.
So wonderful that you are looking to part with these two to the subbies! I think the black would absolutely be one you would reach for and maybe enjoy more. I understand the intention to try something new, but sometimes the classic/neutral colors are what make us more comfortable and maximize enjoyment. I’m rooting that you get a black one! 😀
I find the magnetic closure gets easier after many uses. I initially have problem like you said, but now it’s bearable. And I don’t snaps the button when I’m using the bag as I don’t find it easier to take out things from the bags. Also, I find this bag is heavier than Celine pico though they fit the same amount.
I have the Numero Un Nano in Cognac. I love it but it isn’t an everyday carry for me. It’s a little too small. During the week I need to carry two large cell phones plus my daily essentials. I found that the strap is too short (I’m plus sized) so I took it off. You have to angle the pegs in the strap to get it off. I’m using a strap that I got off of Amazon. I also added D rings to the included strap as well as strap extenders to the original strap in case I want to use it.
