You and Gavin are 2 of my most favorite people to watch on TH-cam.
Your images and destinations travels over the past six weeks or so have been phenomenal! My sense of geography, photography and nature have been tremendously enhanced.
Those minimalist images of the sun splashing the ocean and cliffs are truly the best of the lot. They really communicate the feelings of the Faroe Islands.
Wow,wow,wow! The mood you captured in the shots across the sea...pure drama. Love these images you manage to capture of scenes most people would just ignore.

I agree, you have captured the lighthouse beautifully, but the various "beams of light" in the ocean are more impactful and artistic.

I know, it's an over a year old video, but Adam, I come back, over and over again! I just luv that dramatic point at minute 8 to 9 as you point out that it could be rain or snow ... And I love that dark athmosphere of deep hanging clouds and that music you choose! Such a uniqueness szene! Love it! 🖤🖤🖤

My favourites by far are those gorgeous shafts of light from the black sky onto an unbroken sea, I can never get enough of these when I get the chance and it is great to see your take.
Since I discovered your videos, I have wanted to buy back an SLR (in the past I had a Canon 60D) and put your precious suggestions into practice. I especially appreciate the fact that your advice is focused on the philosophy of photography, and not mere technical suggestions that are found in abundance everywhere now ...

Regarding the initial drone sequence, you're much braver with your aerial resources than I am with mine. Stunning footage!
The shocking image of the blue vested puffer was diabolical and I may, in fact, have to recalibrate my screen because of that visual pestilence...
The combination of snow dusting and muted palate presented a very fine and fresh perspective on the fjord we've seen before.
The soundtrack, sounding to me like Celtic pre-sacrifice warm-up music, is a good choice for the Kelsoy sequence. And, the "brooding" chiaroscuro cliff/seascape images do stun, and I appreciate the insight as to your processing approach!

As always, you seem to be able to create outstanding images even in the face of adversity! Demonstrates what a great eye you have for detail and the ability to think out of the box. Great stuff Adam, and these are some of my favourite images of the Faroe Islands! That shaft of light onto an empty sea is priceless! Wish I could have seen something like that.

I love the drone shot in the beginning. I loved seeing the rain? I want to say rain, wiz pass the camera. 👌
Drone flight through the snow? Amazing ... I never dared to do that. That spot is a great one and for the good reason became so popular :) The snow for sure adds a lot ... I was there during my first trip to Faroe but during the next one I decided to skip it and look for some more hidden gems. There is so much to discover ... I wonder when the Kalsoy hike will become another paid adventure there ... but totally agree with you these cliffs up there are just stunning

I hope the new drone laws in Canada don't stop your flights when you get home. I hear the commercial done pilots licence exam is very hard and time consuming to study for. I've seen so many photos of the Faroe Islands but never the light show you photographed that was out on the ocean. Some really great photos. I would say from quiet light too quite the light show. Definitely the red jacket! Looking for a beanie that sat says Grumpier.

Being the " Old Fart " that I am & no doubt " repeating " myself once again, I really do appreciate your approach to photography because it parallels what I try do when I'm in the field, except you do it far better than me!
I don't want to ramble on here on " why " I haven't picked up the camera in over a year now ( heaven forbid ) but I just want to say thank you yet again for the time & effort that goes into these presentations...

Your photos of light on the water are fantastic. Sometimes there is more drama in the unexpected.
Beautiful moody images Adam! To me these sorts of images say the most about a place and yet most people seem to want to visit places on a nice warm day. I happen to be of a different mind and follow what Billy Connolly once said "There's no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothing, so get yourself a sexy raincoat and live a little." Words I try to live by :D
Don‘t worry about the missing light on the cliff or lighthouse. Those 4 or 5 images of the clouds and the ocean are absolutely fantastic and well worth getting a bit cold!
