Loved your video! I didn't know Stormlight Archive is finishing ?!? I started Oathbringer 2 years ago, but I had my theses to finish, then I started working and never got back to it! You just gave me a big push to startit again 🥰

Ahh yes! There is apparently going to be a Stormlight Era 2, but the author said he won't even be starting on that for another five years or so, and the fifth book coming out this year finishes the first series. 😊

I love how your videos are filmed outside! Evokes warm, peaceful and happy feelings.
Our bookclub picked up Don Quixote and only 1/4 people read it 😅 and I was not the one who did. Oops.
But my true book of shame is Anna Karenina. I've been stuck on page 300 for a year or more

That Jules Verne cover is 10/10. My most beautiful book cover of all time - Jack Glass by Adam Roberts

I haven’t done this tag yet as I’m busy preparing for the Garbaugust reading event. But the best sequel I’ve read is Epitaph by Mary Doria Russell. It’s the follow up of Doc. Doc is about Doc Holiday and Epitaph is about Wyatt Earp

Oh cool! I just watched Tombstone for the first time earlier this year, which is about those two. It was a great movie!

@@OnefortheBooks Oh. It's been ages sins I've seen that film. I thought it was pretty good at the time though.

I pretty much just started my journey to becoming a reader again a little less than half a year ago, and even if that wasn't the case, I couldn't follow the "hot new thing" like they're two hour theatrical releases. I've only read four books and it looks like each one took me about a whole month. Granted, most of them weren't short, but they weren't like a thousand pages either. My only option is to take notes on what people say is good, and read it if it sounds interesting to me. I would be the worst booktuber, most of these questions don't even seem to apply to me.

Reading four books is great! It doesn't matter how much you read, as long as you're enjoying it. I went years without reading after graduating from college, I just got back into it a few years ago as well. I probably read more because I have this channel, but I like that the hobby of making videos motivates me to read more. 😊 I made my channel partially because almost no one in my life reads, and I just wanted an outlet to talk about books.
What's been your favorite of the books you've read so far?

@@OnefortheBooks It doesn't sound like it would be your cup of tea, and would probably be a controversial answer for most avid readers anyway, because it's:
      1. Co-written by a first time author who is known for film directing.
      2. A sequel novel to an existing film that's thirty years old.
      3. Partial to headhopping even for small chunks in already incredibly small chapters. (but basically close 3rd person)
      4. Written in present tense. (Not sure why that's so despised but, yeah.)
But it's definitely "Heat 2." I'm a cinephile, and I figured reading books with ties to movies with familiar actors would partially ease my transition into reading - somewhat - since I have a really good ear for dialogue, and the cadence of specific actors. I thought it would help me better hear what I'm reading, if not see it. Coupled with the curiosity of "can this person really translate effectively to the page what they do well on screen?"
I had already read Quentin Tarantino's book, the novelization of "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" by that point, a movie I already don't really like and... it was awful. Truly terrible in virtually every way imagineable. So it was kind of surprising to hear from there that Michael Mann had written a sequel to his Al Pacino/Robert Deniro heist movie recently, and that was _also_ a best seller. So I threw caution to the wind a second time and dived in. Didn't regret it.
I get what you mean by getting back into reading because it seems like no one else does, and starting a TH-cam channel to stick with it. I was tired of going to Booktube channels saying "I don't really read books anymore, but..." So I didn't have to start one to get motivated, but it probably took longer. I like that you seem to be looking for quality reads, rather than going for low hanging fruit.
In case you're curious, my first try at getting back into reading was Brandon Sanderson's book Elantris. Didn't like what I'd read, but circumstances conspired for me to lose that one before I finished it. So it got binned either way. Didn't try again for a few months. Then I read George RR Martin's "A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms." which was heavily illustrated. Then Tarantino's terrible book. Then another crime novel called "Five Decembers" which was recommended by another booktuber, then "Heat 2"
Only book I actively disliked was Tarantino's. Haven't read in a couple weeks now. I'm having trouble deciding on what to read next. I have a few options already, I took a couple notes here, just in case.
      (I talk too much)

@futurestoryteller If you like nonfiction, you should check out some actor memoirs! I think that would be a good blend for you. Jeanette McCurdy had a crazy popular one a couple years ago, but I'm sure there's a few actors you like that have probably published one. 😊
