This man is so arrogant, rude, judgemental. He repeats himself, is completely wrong about women, & then power thrusts to dominate the conversation. You handled this hot mess of a "coach" so well. He definitely goes off on tangents & practically yells to contradict you & go on with his crazy ideas. Deep respect for how you handled this

Mr. Letgo doesn't need to be a coach....he needs to SIT DOWN AND SEEK OUT THERAPY FOR HIMSELF!!

Ok. I need a refund from my therapists because after years attachment style never came into play.
This is a very needed conversation and I wish they had not derailed by asking about "advice coaches" because we "should" all know they are mostly for the views.
In the analogy the hosts provided where she described a woman's desire for the best and what not is a typical mask for an anxious attachment person, which most are women.
After going down the rabbit hole a few times, I have discovered I have disorganized attachment and I can present both types of anxiety described by the gentleman.
Why didn't I know that? Why was that part of my counseling? Probably because I would not need to continue therapy because I am finally growing and understanding why I behave the way I do.
I always used to say, it's me and not you. Partly because I always wanted to be accountable and not be a victim. But it really is me and always has been me.
We get hurt as children and people on the outside looking in think we are living a good life because perhaps we are not living in poverty, but our EMOTIONS are impoverished. I had the benefit of having both my mother and my father abandon me and on top of that care takers, who were adults, dumping toxic information about my parents on me as a very young age.
I identify wholeheartedly with the escapism. I am guilty of that- especially when I am emotionally triggered and cannot self soothe. But like I said, I only recently discovered attachment style.
Everyone throws around narcissism like it's candy these days and some of it may be NPD but a lot of it is the attachment style.
I am hoping that I can find more information on how to create healthy attachments or identify the insecure attachment factors sooner.
Bottom line - anxious people see the good in everyone and avoidant sees the good in no one.

This was a great interview! I know people may not like him, but he did a good job, and I respect him addressing the fact that we need to work on relationships on every level.

Enjoyed this interesting sit-down BUT ALISON is right, as a woman, mother, approaching 30 y.o and beyond, running my own life, you DO think about body count, risking your body, happiness, desiring marriage, etc and so if we still choose or want to enjoy sexual relationships, we want them to make it worth our TIME because you don't get that back. That unserious guy who just wants sex is taking our time, attention and using our body and life force, blocking us from the better man...so make it make sense! Similar to a car, we're depreciating in some areas like our body, so as owners of ourselves, we want the right man to show value in us and show us they are worthy of our time, sex energy, body etc because WE ARE AN INVESTMENT rather temp or permanent, not FREE, or dumpster or convienent store.

I'm both avoidant and insecure in my attachment. For me if a man's not investing he isn't really interested but even if he does invest it doesn't mean he is interested.....i just ended a 2 year relationship because he thought he did invest he didn’t with his heart. So i disagree that woman just want stuff

I think this interview would have been better if they would have talked about how to heal or create a healthy relationship with yourself to no longer operate through those attachment styles.

No one like to talk about “daddy issues” it plays a huge part of how people think, especially women about relationships

This man isn’t even married. Does he even have a great track record??! Also, why does he keep speaking about what a woman wants. Speaking for all women. And he keeps contradicting himself by saying “I’m not a woman, so I could be right or wrong.” Dude, you’re WRONG!😂

Mr. Let go is not a coach for the masses. He’s only for a small amount of ppl. I watch several relationship podcasts & he was hard to follow and even tho he made some good points, his theories and explanations didn’t hold my interest. He kept goin away from the actual questions. She had to keep trying to reel him back in. You have to at least consider that Alison knows what she’s talking about because she IS A WOMAN. I’m Leary of men tryna explain women to other women especially when their bullet points aren’t making sense for the majority. Relationships aren’t as complicated as ppl portray them to be. Healed ppl make better companions hands down but that doesn’t mean an unhealed person can’t have a satisfying and gratifying relationship.
