So we pick right back up with the sequel to Halloween 2018, with Halloween Kills. This movie is a direct sequel and picks straight up from the last movie. The nightmare isn't over as unstoppable killer Michael Myers escapes from Laurie Strode's trap to continue his ritual bloodbath. Injured and taken to the hospital, Laurie reunites with Tommy Doyle, the boy she was babysitting on the night Michael began his reign of terror. As Laurie continues to fight through the pain, Tommy leads an angry mob of vigilantes to rise up against Myers and destroy the evil once and for all. This one really went there with displaying for people who’ve never seen Michael Myers, just who he really is and how terrifying he really is I love this one even tho it’s not favorited as much .

Loomis wasn't a deepfake. They got a guy who looked like Donald Pleasence, and put makeup on him. He actually worked on the film behind the scenes. Another actor did the voice of Loomis. They recreated Michael Myers house on a sound stage! They recreated everything in the flashback to match the original 1978 film, like the cinematography, cars, costumes and film grain.
Yeah that whole flashback scene is such a treat. When I watched this in theaters last year I was so happy when it came up.

Lonnie was in the original movie. He was the kid that bullied Tommy at the school and was the one scared away from Michael's house by Loomis
I agree. In a small town like Haddonfield, why wouldn't they team up to take on a serial killer? This is my favorite Halloween storyline too. Great reaction!
Now this is Michael Myers…Lonnie was one of the bullies in the 1978 original that was bullying Tommy at the school when he fell over and smashed the pumpkin…The Lomis in this film was an actor who looked liked the original actor Donald Pleasance….would like to add that Michael wasn’t going after Laurie…the only reason Michael and Laurie crossed paths was because the doctor took Michael to Laurie….
I loved this movie, i haven't seen Ends yet but i have a feeling the opening credits may have a pumpkin rotting which would be cool signifying the end. Also, the flashback scene in the beginning shows what happend after Michael was shot off the balcony in the end of 1978

Did you miss the fact that the old cop/guard was Sheriff Brackett from the first two? His daughter was Annie, Lindsey's babysitter killed in the car.
Fun fact: That's real firefighters in the beginning fight and kill scene.

To know that the town is still deeply haunted by what happened 40 years ago (the survivors keep the memory alive) I can see why they turned into Frankenstein mob. Some of that well if I would have been there… umm hmm.

The hospital stuff alone is more over the top than a fast and furious movie at least those are dumb fun.

I enjoyed this one. It wasn’t the same Tommy actor but I love Micheal Anthony Hall who played in the movie the Breakfast Club and Vacation.
Anthony Michael hall played this version of tommy. The real actor Brian Andrews was the original lil tommy Doyle in the 1978 film. Not too sure on the REAL reason he didn’t reprise his role as Tommy in Kills.

If all of the hospital stuff had been trimmed down by at least 50%, I would’ve enjoyed the movie so much more. Most of the time spent at the hospital felt like the movie pushing the brakes imo. Or just have something else happening there. Idk, I just didn’t like that stuff lol. Also, the “Evil Dies Tonight” chanting got so old so quick.
Positives would definitely have to start with the kills. I thought Michael was brutal in 2018 but wow, they really stepped it tf up in Kills.
I don't get the hate for this film, I thought it was a balls to the wall killing spree, yet showing the violence bleeding in to the town.

Being that Michael Myers does what he does and is the embodiment of evil. Just through the Halloween lore, in general, up has Michael always, moved on his own volition? Or has it been an evil force making him do what he does. Similar to a video game character being able to move with a controller?
Or is Michael the one with the controller and his body is merely the avatar?

I liked this movie. I don’t get the hate
The only problem I had with this movie was that the dialogue was very cringey. On the level of Jason X and Freddy Vs Jason. Michael never really went after Laurie in this new timeline. She sought him out. He was just killing at random. For forty years he was Laurie's every thought while he probably never thought of her once.
I mean we all know that Halloween ends isn't going to be the final Halloween movie because it makes money good or bad it does I'm not saying anything about Halloween ends but it makes money
