Cody is clearly the one friend you can't take to the movies unless you've already seen the movie once cause he's gonna be that guy who states, "Lizard looks like a Goomba" in the heat of an emotional Spider-Man scene and make you laugh out loud so that everyone in the theater turns and labels you a psycho.

Honestly Michael's condition here makes a lot more sense if you think of his final killing spree in Kills as him running on adrenaline or a second wind, and then the beating he took reaaaaaaaaaaally took a toll on him.

34:38 I liked it too. My only issues were Corey's motivations for some of his kills just being that he was bullied a bit and there should have been more Michael scenes.
Right I get that! But that’s also to me where some bit of supernatural feeling came in, he connected with Michael and as Laurie was alluding in the beginning “let evil in”. I like the concept, would’ve been a little better had they built it up over the 3 movies but I still appreciated something fresh feeling. As an individual movie, it’s sucks there’s not more Michael, but it also works in context of the story they made. I know people hate seeing Michael so clearly weak tho (but again, that fact makes Halloween Kills ending and all a bit more impactful to me, cause they really did mess Mikey up at the end there before he massacred them all 😂)
@@BRIDGECO1 I didn't mind weaker Michael. It made sense given the beatings he took in 2018 and Kills. And people forget that in the original he was superhuman and hard to kill but could be hurt and killed. It was only really the 4-6 continuity that overexaggerated him into being supernarural.
@@bklynkat23 Yeah. But still literally god damn insane he was still alive after a throat slit, stabbed in the Lungs, had his leg broken, arm snapped. Like damn bitch just die already. My god. I won't be surprised if he survived the meat grinder at this point.
Definitely should have been more Michael. He had 10 minutes 11 seconds screen time. At the end when Laurie had him pinned to the table, she very clearly said “and you’re just a man” before she killed him, alluding to the fact that he is just human with no supernatural element. Makes zero sense.
I walked out of this movie feeling I just watched something refreshing but also confused. After a second watch I actually enjoy this movie and the chances they took. It would have been much better as a stand alone side story or a anthology movie only focusing on Cory.
The relationship between Michael and Corey very much reminded me of a syndrome called, "Folie a deux." There was a case of this in twin sisters not too long ago who shared a psychotic break and in turn fed each other delusions. Sabine and Ursula I think. One was well adjusted with a family while the other had mental problems. They had been apart for years but when together one duplicated the other's actions almost by instinct. In their case one was more the "receiver" which Corey reminded me of. Great reaction, I liked this movie.

It was a solid film that told the story of the impacts of trauma VERY WELL. As for Allysons arc....trauma stunts your growth and sets you back. You get stuck. Let me say this, I really did love this movie. With that said, I have some questions as it pertains to what the director, I think of the first one, said when they were planning other ones after this. Main question: what is going to be the main story line now for more possible movies given what we know happened in this one? At the very end of the movie, I hope people picked up on two main things that could pertain to future projects. One: The very last line of Strode's book she was writing. "Evil never dies, it just takes a different shape." and the last movie frame of the book writing room and on the table in the middle of the room is Michael Myer's undestroyed mask.
My one and only issue about the movie is it felt like Myers was a bit of a background character. I'm not upset with him dying the guy was pushing 70 and got beaten pretty badly last movie so he's not what he once was. I enjoyed it but do feel like they could've done more. 7.3/10

I think about the state of Michael. Initially he's institutionalized for 15 years. He breaks out and spends a few days killing. Then, he's caught again and locked up for 40 years. Given 3 squares, some sunlight, a bed. Then, he breaks out again. And while he does a lot of killing, he is seriously messed up. Set on fire, has 2 fingers cut off, shot and beaten by an angry mob. But instead of getting caught again, fixed up and going back to getting taken care of, he's been living in a sewer for 4 years, without receiving medical attention. Of course he's going to be a bit weak. I think they handled Michael perfectly in this film.
Michael was pathetic in 90% of the film, a huge letdown, allowing a brand new character(Corey) to dominate the last film beyond stupid A huge slap in the face to long time fans
I'm very happy that you liked the movie, I found this different approach interesting, I loved the characters, and the final battle between Michael and Laurie was simply epic, evil died tonight
Not sure about everyone else but I personally enjoyed Cory's character and where they took him, reminds me of the psychiatrist that in first one in 2018 that took Michael's mask and wanted to know how it felt to take a life. Other than that this movie was not what I expected.
@@kadeemjones30 i agree, they should have established that sooner, even though it was a gradual change over time for him turning psychotic, in one movie still feels a little rushed, felt like the message was mostly that anyone can become michael?
@@antisocial904 i did too at first but when they stared at each other, Idk it seemed like they somehow linked in some way, I took it as they both are one in the same, they are alike , and im guessing Cory embraced that.
This one was so different from the rest of the franchise. The acting this time around was so good. Jamie Lee Curtis gave a stellar performance. The fact that this was the last we saw of Laurie Strode.. She truly came full circle. Corey Cunningham was a well-written character, but because of him, Michael Myers was totally sidelined. The opening was haunting and I truly enjoyed it. The ending sequence with the final fight was so powerful. It should've just been longer. At least thrice as long. The last 15 minutes I had tears pouring down my cheeks all the way until the end credits. Those were tears of happiness, sadness and bitterness of how they finally killed Michael Myers. When they killed off Karen in the last movie, the same thing happened to me. Being a diehard fan of the franchise, I will go watch Halloween Ends at least 3 more times. Happy early Halloween! 🎃
So glad you both liked it! In a sea of negative reviews, it's fun to see some positive ones. I liked the film quite a bit, though I had some legit criticisms at times.
I feel the connection Myers and Cory had was a call back to The Cult of Thorn from Halloween 6. I personally loved it as well, I was worried because of all the negative things being said about it.
I personally enjoyed the movie thoroughly. I think too many people watched so much of the marketing material for this movie and formulated in their heads exactly how they thought the movie would end. I'm glad that this movie subverted expectations and surprised the hell out of me. Even down to the music at the beginning of the movie. I remember I was in the theater and I literally jumped because the music just surprised the hell out of me.
Couldn't agree more, and this is coming from an OG Halloween uber fan. So glad we didn't get another scenario of MM doing the same thing he's been doing for the last 40 years. This was a perfect way to end the current trilogy imo.
Fair point. Homeless man said he’d drag people in sewer, but that was probably just to barely keep himself from just dying off. I know tons of people would’ve been happier if he was just rampaging again like in Kills but then had the final battle with Laurie, I enjoyed the story arc they formed tho!
A lot of people are complaining that the final fight between Laurie & Michael is really short, but the thing is that both of them are in their sixties. They're just too damn old to go all out.
Why wasn't Lindsay shown in the procession at the end? Hell they even showed that kid Julian from Halloween 2018 but no Lindsay? Did they show her and I missed it?
While I wasn't a huge fan of the story, the kills were fantastic, the tongue was so creative and will haunt my brain forever. The end with the town finally getting rid of Michael was excellent.
Definitely watch The Thing, saw at the theater in 82 a magical time going to the movies every week something good, still my favorite Halloween movies are Halloween 3 and Rob zombies version, thanks again!
I liked the movie, but it doesn’t feel deserving of being “Halloween Ends”. It was Correy with all the screen time. & he had 12 kills in total to Michael’s 3. This movie was expected to be a personal battle to be settled with between Laurie & Michael. That was the main plot of this trilogy. So, this movie just feels out of place. But, I still enjoyed it.
Idk if it's just me but Micheal in this movie looked weak being over power by a regular person after being this unstoppable monster in kills it's kinda sad
Only thing that explains it is he became weak due to age until he gained his strength again with having another person take over his kills, like he gained his powers back for the final fight with Laurie. I’m just guessing though lol
The way I see it, it’s the “Evil” finally rejecting Michael and moving on into Corey. Thought the team up kills with him and Michael was a cool and original touch
@@scottwarnick5126 For this saga it is the end. If you’re expecting something next October for a new Halloween movie that will be years or decades later in the future, but no time soon. This Michael Myers is dead and gone until they decide to reboot the series up with a newer story focused around the new generation and protagonist.
Through 4 years since Michael last beating really took the pain him, even tho the last movie was a lot killing. Also expected the ending be more continuous but enjoyed it 🎃
She was the last one to have the Myers Jedi mind control, after the homeless guy and Corey, so maybe they are hinting that she has taken on part of his soul / evil 🤷🏻♂️
I think the one thing that got missed or just went over everyone’s head here is Laurie said in Halloween 2018 “Michael is a human being and we need to understand.” That being said, anyone can attach any lure to explain Michael: the more he kills, the more he transcends, he’s a little kid trapped in a grown man’s body and he has superhuman strength and “You can’t kill the bogey man” and evil dies tonight and all of that but evil is a possession that takes over a body when the person gives up spiritually or the spirit is weak. We don’t need Michael explained or what motivates him. This was The Curse of Michael Myers, how his evil can change form and someone else can be effected by that. Michael in this is already in his 60’s, the four years he was in hiding was because he didn’t have his house to go home to that gave him his power and he took a helluva beating in Halloween Kills. All of that factors in and this is the Michael we are left with. This may not be every fan’s story they would tell but the creators thought this was the best way to end Michael and Laurie can live out her days without living in fear and looking over her shoulder. I liked its it’s not perfect but it didn’t suck and definitely not the worst horror movie I’ve seen. Thank you for your thoughts and your opinions. You rock!
A thought..I don't know if it was intentional but the opening scene, of a joke that goes bad, mirrors 2 other Jamie Lee films. Both Prom Night and Terror Train have similar opening scenes.
People are split down the middle some people like this movie and some people didn't like it so I don't know it's crazy and thanks I haven't seen the movie yet but I'll hopefully see it tomorrow anyway great review and god bless

Really glad to see you guys loved this so much! I went in with really low expectations and feeling a little deflated by the reviews and online word of mouth and I loved this movie. Oddly, reminded me of John Carpenter's Christine a lot.
my main issues with this issue is after saying Michael isn't supernatural, this movie implies some pretty supernatural elements to Michael and Cory. Plus why did Michael go after Lory like I know Cory was there with his mask. But that can't be the only reason, After making it a main point he was never after her. Overall both Michael and Cory's motives are very confusing is Cory possessed by Michael or? Is he just killing people after meeting Michael because reasons?
Both this one and Halloween 6 raised so many questions instead of giving answers, like Michael was already pretty supernatural in 4 and 5, but 6 took it to a whole new level, and the same thing here, how Michael and Corey got linked somehow. Also, side note, Ronald is supposed to be Corey's uncle.
Different continuity and characterisation. In H20 we're still stuck with the 'brother/sister' stuff and are to believe Michael's obsessed with her. Here, Michael doesn't given a shit about Laurie until he finds out who Sartain has taken him to in the 2018 movie.
I liked the movie for the most part. Only issue is that they didn't make the power gap between Cory and Michael big enough. It felt a little disrespectful to Michael Myers. I would've also liked if they ended the film in a way that had us questioning if Michael is really gone.(I know it's a bit overplayed)

But instead of getting caught again, fixed up and going back to getting taken care of, he's been living in a sewer for 4 years, without receiving medical attention. Of course he's going to be a bit weak. I think they handled Michael perfectly in this film.
Michael was pathetic in 90% of the film, a huge letdown, allowing a brand new character(Corey) to dominate the last film beyond stupid
A huge slap in the face to long time fans
I really enjoyed it. Not what I expected at all, but I thought it was executed so well
I'm very happy that you liked the movie, I found this different approach interesting, I loved the characters, and the final battle between Michael and Laurie was simply epic, evil died tonight
Not sure about everyone else but I personally enjoyed Cory's character and where they took him, reminds me of the psychiatrist that in first one in 2018 that took Michael's mask and wanted to know how it felt to take a life. Other than that this movie was not what I expected.
Michael got manhandled and got turned into a bitch. I hate this movie and I want all of my time spent watching in back.
But the problem is they waited until the last movie to introduce him
the part where michael strangle cory in the cave shitt confused me
@@kadeemjones30 i agree, they should have established that sooner, even though it was a gradual change over time for him turning psychotic, in one movie still feels a little rushed, felt like the message was mostly that anyone can become michael?
I liked the film quite a bit, though I had some legit criticisms at times.
i’m so happy that i’m not alone that i absolutely loved this film. it does has it faults but i love it more
I feel the connection Myers and Cory had was a call back to The Cult of Thorn from Halloween 6.
I think it would be a good stand alone movie without Michael meyers. Not enough Michael or Laurie in the movie.
I gave a 👍🏻and watched the intro but skipped the reaction because I plan to watch the movie eventually.
I think the connection was just that Micheal seen evil like him in his eyes. He knew. That's better than the weird supernatural thing.
Michael was staring at his own reflection for ages, hell yes he'd recognize evil when he saw it.
Loved it as well. I always enjoy when they do something different and this timeline ended on a breath of fresh air.
Keep in mind this took place 4 years after kills so Michael is weaker because he hasn’t killed
Fair point. Homeless man said he’d drag people in sewer, but that was probably just to barely keep himself from just dying off. I know tons of people would’ve been happier if he was just rampaging again like in Kills but then had the final battle with Laurie, I enjoyed the story arc they formed tho!
@Lorenzo Smit he wasn't shot, stab fingers blown off in prison he's slowly withering away with burst of energy they show it
Michael's lack of screentime and worn down actions seemed to be an attempt at acknowledging the complaints everyone had about the end of Kills.
Oh i watched this last night, im so excited to watch your reaction, i thought it was okay, just weird.
The most refreshing part of Ends was the characters not acting brain-dead like in Kills, lol.
A lot of people are complaining that the final fight between Laurie & Michael is really short, but the thing is that both of them are in their sixties. They're just too damn old to go all out.
I actually love the movie and I love that it took inspiration from the movie Christine. Jamie needs an Oscar for this movie.
Would make sense if she got one, Award Ceremonies usually give awards to mediocre shit.
@@chrissweet6369 Bitch, I know you did not just call Jamie Lee mediocre 😂
My mouth was wide open for like 2 minutes straight after that fall scene at the beginning. Wow.
We love Rob Zombies as well 😂
This one is my favorite in the new trilogy for sure. Such a powerful ending for Laurie’s story.
The blue HALLOWEEN ENDS is reminiscent of HALLOWEEN III as in maybe they will go back to trying anthology Halloween stories?
I liked the movie, but it doesn’t feel deserving of being “Halloween Ends”.
It was Correy with all the screen time. & he had 12 kills in total to Michael’s 3.
This movie was expected to be a personal battle to be settled with between Laurie & Michael. That was the main plot of this trilogy.
So, this movie just feels out of place. But, I still enjoyed it.
I hate when I watch people predict things so well. Makes me feel dumb lmao. Great call on the foreshadowing with the truck grinder thing!
I loved this movie too. Its my favorite from the Franchise now.
your guys' reaction to the beginning was my reaction too. i was just like "was that really necessary"
I have a theory that Corey's still alive and is supernatural like micheal Myers and took his powers
Agreed! You can hear breathing in the final shot!
"Evil FINALLY dies tonight!!!!"
- Cody
I loved this from beginning to end. Perfect ending to the series in my opinion.
Agree
This is not the end of the Halloween series
@@scottwarnick5126 For this saga it is the end. If you’re expecting something next October for a new Halloween movie that will be years or decades later in the future, but no time soon. This Michael Myers is dead and gone until they decide to reboot the series up with a newer story focused around the new generation and protagonist.
@@blackwidow8805 basically that's what I just said but said it differently
Through 4 years since Michael last beating really took the pain him, even tho the last movie was a lot killing. Also expected the ending be more continuous but enjoyed it 🎃
It's four years. The prologue with the kid's death is one year after Kills, the rest of the film is three years after that.
4 years between kills and ends
Love you guys but I can't watch this as I have not yet see the movie myself....
Will comment again after.
Luv y'all!
Also, the town is the plague, and if that's the route they go there is so much that you can do with the evil of Michael Myers.
The opening was so goofy bruh😭😭😭 that shi was amazing
First time sub, 😃👋🏼 enjoyed your reactions!
No spoiler alert I thought this was the second movie ten minutes in 😂😂
27:04 That Seth Rollins "Charlie Irvine" Stomp was Epic!!!!
Laurie was also wearing the same kind of blue shirt she wore in the original Halloween.
This is our Halloween 3. That movie was trashed at first, but gained a huge cult following as time went on. The same will happen with this movie.
That Jeremy kid wanted to be the icon, Julian, from the 2018 reboot so bad, but failed so hard💀
Laurie was also wearing a similar outfit she wore at the end of Halloween 1978 at the end of this movie.
CODY.. you start gently placing your grocery items in your cart. Lol 😂
Idk if it’s just me but I heard breathing in the final scene when they show the house.
She was the last one to have the Myers Jedi mind control, after the homeless guy and Corey, so maybe they are hinting that she has taken on part of his soul / evil 🤷🏻♂️
I like Corey and kinda hope the last scene would have been Corey getting up again like in halloween 2
You rock!
Did yall notice corey dissapears when he lured the cop into the tunnel? You never see him go inside.
Imagine a new Halloween comes but Micheal is a ghost/demon and controls people's body and make them kill
there’s different evils theres normal trauma resulting to a monster than there’s pure evil
A thought..I don't know if it was intentional but the opening scene, of a joke that goes bad, mirrors 2 other Jamie Lee films. Both Prom Night and Terror Train have similar opening scenes.

This movie fucking rules! I’m so happy with it
People are split down the middle some people like this movie and some people didn't like it so I don't know it's crazy and thanks I haven't seen the movie yet but I'll hopefully see it tomorrow anyway great review and god bless
27:30 now that's some art the Clown sh*t right there
My gripe is that it could've been longer. It felt a little rushed.
I'm really glad that you guys enjoyed the movie. I saw it last night and I love it Alot, my only complaint is there wasn't enough Michael. Laurie was great, Corey was awesome and Allison was damn good. Overall I give it a 4.5/5.🔪🎃🖤
I completely agree! I do like the junkyard scene! That one was crazy!
Really glad to see you guys loved this so much! I went in with really low expectations and feeling a little deflated by the reviews and online word of mouth and I loved this movie. Oddly, reminded me of John Carpenter's Christine a lot.
That's what David Gordon said that this Halloween movie is gonna be similar to Christine.
my main issues with this issue is after saying Michael isn't supernatural, this movie implies some pretty supernatural elements to Michael and Cory. Plus why did Michael go after Lory like I know Cory was there with his mask. But that can't be the only reason, After making it a main point he was never after her. Overall both Michael and Cory's motives are very confusing is Cory possessed by Michael or? Is he just killing people after meeting Michael because reasons?
i think your gonna need more then a dr had me rolling hard
Both this one and Halloween 6 raised so many questions instead of giving answers, like Michael was already pretty supernatural in 4 and 5, but 6 took it to a whole new level, and the same thing here, how Michael and Corey got linked somehow.
Also, side note, Ronald is supposed to be Corey's uncle.
10:28 actually Laurie did move away after she faked her death we find out in h20. Micheal just comes after her there lol.
Y’all are the best!
