So we are back and Today is FRIDAY THE 13th and ITS OCTOBER! It’s only right for this holiday spooky season that we go back to Crystal Lake and check out the Last Jason Movie we have and this is FRIDAY THE 13th from 2009. Against the advice of locals and police, Clay (Jared Padalecki) scours the eerie woods surrounding Crystal Lake for his missing sister. But the rotting cabins of an abandoned summer camp are not the only things he finds. Hockey-masked killer Jason Voorhees lies in wait for a chance to use his razor-sharp machete on Clay and the group of college students who have come to the forest to party. This absolutely not my favorite but it does get the kills right and jump scares for sure! Jason is still at the Top for me regardless

What makes this Jason scary is that he's a legit hunter. He stalks, plays with, traps, and butchers his pray like any animal would.
Exactly. I didn't like the random teleportation in later movies and it just got silly and cringy lol. This made him MUCH scarier and he can run. This is early stage Jason too.

I love this Remake it’s refreshing and it’s basically telling the story from the First Four Movies but in this way and this had one of the best Jason in the Series he was Moving in this one and he was brutal and ruthless basically a hunter

This Jason was definitely the scariest in a long time. It was such a great remake!! One of my favorites
Thing is, in this movie Jason isn't dead yet. They we're supposed to make sequels to this one where we'd get to the Jason we know and love. But for some reason they never did
This Jason was a nice change of pace. This one seemed more ruthless.
Still my favorite version of Jason. He's terrifying and ruthless, imagine seeing this big mfer and then he's fast af as well, oh hell nah. Also, the traps and stuff.

This is basically parts 1-4 combined. What I like about it? The whole beginning! Jason’s just absolutely brutal but after that it goes down hill for me. I don’t feel it’s a terrible movie. Something’s missing from it. They definitely needed a Crazy Ralph character to say “It’s got a death curse!” Oh well. Its still entertaining & that sleeping bag kill ouch!

The first time I saw this it was in theaters, and after the first few minutes of Jason killing we all applauded.

According to the writers this version of Jason didn’t actually drown, he made it out of the lake but went missing which is why his mom thought he was dead. They chose to go with a more realistic take on the character, a regular mortal that’s highly intelligent and a psychotic territorial survivalist which means that the ending scene was most likely Whitney having a nightmare due to being extremely traumatised, similar to Alice in the first F13 when she had that nightmare of kid Jason pulling her under water.

Jason in this version, doesn't fuck around. This is a reboot that encompasses the first three movies
That fact that Jason could run after you, was scary alone.
And the fact that Jason in this hauls ass and not looking like he’s just jogging
I hope you guys enjoyed this reboot because sadly there will not be a sequel for it but the guy who played Jason killed it i just hope they bring him back after the Crystal Lake TV series because there talk of a potential film afterwards

This is my favorite Jason but maybe not my favorite friday the 13th. But the character is awesome. It makes everything make sense with the tunnels and how he survived in the woods. Really wish this one would of got a sequel
I love this remake. He doesn't have supernatural elements and instead of somehow teleporting everywhere, the underground tunnels gives an excuse why he's so fast around the camp and I LOVE that part. The old man trucker I think was the guy who played in the remake to the Texas Massacre movies. The girl reminded him of his mother, much like in the earlier movies so that was a callback. This is one of the better movies in the franchise by far. My favorite Friday the 13th movies: This Jason was intelligent. I prefer this scary Jason over anything Supernatural. Supernatural Jason does become ridiculous sometimes especially the random teleporting lmao. That got annoying in later movies. This Jason was more of the older movies. Jason doesn't need to be a Supernatural demon to kill. This movie combined all 4 of the first four movies that's why you didn't get your love-able unrealistic supernatural zombie Jason lol. This is his early stages and if they got a sequel? They probably would of eventually brought in 'Zombie Jason' but make it more realistic.

They wanted to completely reboot the series with this movie, but historically reboots redos and remakes bomb
I thought this did the callbacks better than halloween 2018 they felt very forced in that film compared to this you can tell DGG forced that stuff here it felt more natural without being thrown in your face and this jason was brutal fast and the reason he held the sister captive was because she reminded him of his mom and he naturally wouldn't hurt someone who reminded him of his mom.
Forced? Nothing about it was forced. 2018 Halloween is leaps and bounds better then this film as a whole.

🔪 🔪 🔪 Hands down - Rambo Jason is my favorite. I LOVED this version of him. Its not perfect film however there are things i really enjoyed. First, the look of it..the lighting, the fog, that grainy look, the cinematography plays a big part. The soundtrack, it works, especially the chase scenes. But most importantly, i just love this Jason. Hes rambo Jason. Extreme survivalist, shows no mercy :) unless you remind him of his mom. I dod very much enjoy the character of Clay (Jared Padalecki) i loved that a character finally had a purpose. Loved him as a final. 🔪 🔪 🔪
I like this movie even tho Michael Bay put his on spin on it , the only thing that I didn't like is is the fact that Michael Bay tried to humanize him by having jason use traps , because from what I remember from the very first jason movie and the rest before this one he never used traps or had his own tunnel system and alarm bells to locate people where people are running too , I dont remember if he ever took a hostage but I do remember that Jason doesn't delete a women that resembles his mother
I'm not exactly sure , but some of my friends told me that there's a possibility that Jason movie was inspired by an actual massacre that happened in Finland in the 1960s , some campers got killed at Lake Bodom campground
3:32 - it's more than a simple Michael Bay production. This Jason film is actually set in the same world as the Transformers movies. The rich asshole kid in this movie is the same actor (and character) from the first Transformers movie
