I watched a reaction to training day here on TH-cam and the young woman reacting was telling her viewers that the gangs were created to protect the neighborhood from the police… I was blown away with the amount of credit she puts on criminals.

As a matter of fact, her grandfather was one of Al Capone's drivers and heroin mules. Her uncle was a drug Runner in the 1970s in Chicago, she has several cousins that are tied to the mafia even to this day. If you look at the purge list or the new list of laws that you can't be arrested for in Chicago, every single one of the laws are common laws that mobsters and gang members commit on a daily basis. Especially second-degree murder, arson, kidnapping and domestic violence.

I’m right there with you, i teach my kids to say “yes mam”, “no mam”, “thank you”, “no thank you”. It’s so very important to learn to be respectful. Hell, i still say it to this day to everybody.

2) There are good and bad people in all professions
3) All kids should be taught to respect authority. In the event that authority commits a misdeed, follow that up with due process. It’s not smart to argue in the moment. (That’s the advice my parents gave us.)
4) We all have to attend to what’s going on in our own homes first, before we can address the larger community, and the world.
I also get why you “had blinders on.” Your energy was focused on your family. It sounds as though you raised very responsible young people. Your job description can expand to include researching a broader world view. I commend you for the efforts you’re making.

So I'm all different races my mom had the ancestry blood test done on her so I'm half of what she is she was 26 percent Sub Saharan African, 51 percent came from the Basque region which is an island between France and Spain and some other stuff lol but I'm still considered white why I have no idea I look Mixed or Mexican or Porter Rican is what I get told. I had my son by a white man my son looks mostly white but has black hair brown eyes. My point is what I'm saying is I have told my son from day one love everyone you can date and be with whomever you want as long as it's a woman!! Should I tell him instead black people hate you so you should hate them.... No do what her parents did get along show respect to everyone God made us all the same.
