abhi tak pen drive pe hamar apka sabka experience raha hai.. ye kam karti hai without any problem.. kyonki maximum pen drives FAT32 based hoti hai.. so it supports easily..
lekin jab ham bat karenge 2.5 inch hdd ki to hard disk ka jo experience hai wo thoda alag hai..
ek bat ye ki hard disk zyada power leti hai.. aor dusare
hard disk NTFS - MBR - GPT support men hoti hai.. to directly OTG se mobile OS support nahi karta.. connect hone pe hard disk corrupt ka msg deta hai.. lekin yahan pe apko jald bazi men format nahi kar dena hai.. is ke liye next steps ..
han agar directly open ho jaye to theek hai .. so better may be kisi mobile men supported softwares hon to koi bat nahi.. warna..
aor agar mobile se power support hard disk ko mil jata hai.. to hard disk working men aa jati hai warna power failure ki wajah se hard disk men click sound ati hai .. is condition men hard disk ko fauran remove karna chahiye.. aor use nahi karna chahiye..
jab hard disk ko power load mil jaye to .. support dene ke liye.. apko use karna hoga do softwares.. ek search karenge... play store pe - ntfs type karke - jo software ayega.. wo hoga.. microsoft exfat/ntfs karke.. ye install karna hai.. aor ek dusara software hoga.. files ko open karne ke liye.. play store pe search karenge.. total commander -- ye bhi install karenge.. to ab ntfs wale app ko open karke apko otg se hard disk laga ke mount kara ke.. total commander men kholne se apki hard disk open ho jayegi..
to ye kuch concepts hain jo ki experience karne honge.. apko khud hi..

First of all.. thanks for comment...
I hope that will be in working condition if that hdd is not roughly handled between that long period of time..
Now I want to explain the importance of hard disk attachment.. This is the situation when we will use the hard disk attachment, there is none other way to confirm that my hard disk is working now or not..
Simply we will connect that hard disk with attachment and connect with our PC , if it is in working condition it will display all of the partitions in My computer.
You will also check the situation of hard disk in - Computer Management - in win10 - Right click on my computer - click on manage - (Now in computer management window-) in left pane - click on Disk Management - it will display all of your hard disks connected to PC - You can check last hard disk like - disk 1, disk 2 ...... and the last will be yours recently hard disk if it is working..
You can check partition and other information related to your this old age hard disk.. hope you have found the way of checking..

according to the logic it should support to the TV also, if there is memory support of 500GB or 1 TB in that TV system.
it may work according to memory support..
I didn't check till now I dont have TV.
plz read user manual of TV related to memory support and then check the hard disk into TV..
plz dont connect if there is less memory support than your hard disk space..

If you have PATA hard disk you should have Pata usb attachment for hard disk. Because SATA attachment is not compatible.
So you need to search and purchase PATA usb attachment..

bilkul aap apne lcd tv se connect kar sakte hain.. par ye tabhi kaam karega jab tv lcd men usb storage support capacity match karta ho.. matlab agar apke tv men 128 Gb external storage supported hai to 250GB ya 500GB hard disk is pe connect karne pe show nahi karegi ya agar show kar bhi jaye to kam nahi akregi.. aap khud hi try karke dekhiye aor comment karke bataiye bhi.. shukriya ..

I will suggest you to try find out exact problem point.. if there is problem in usb attachment or in hard disk..
to find this..
Step 1 - try to attach any other working hard disk in your existing usb attachment... and connect it to laptops - this will clear any problem in your attachment..
step 2 - find that your existing hard disk is ok or it is having any issue.. to find that - try to connect hard disk to other pc or usb attachment.
this way you can find exact problem..

If you will use caddy, you can attach two hard disks internally in your laptop or PC. That is fix with your laptop, no need to carry extra item with you.
If you will use USB attachment, you will care to carry extra item with you.
Performance nearly equal in case of caddy vs usb 3.0.
So I suggest if you are working always on same PC you should use caddy..
and if your PC is being change within alternate time period you should use USB 3.0

is case men mere hisab se do tarike se problem ko resolve kar sakte hain..
1-password protection ko kisi tarah focely remove kar diya jaye.. wo koi tariqa ho sakta hai.. is par research karke iska solution kiya ja sakta hai..

Mere laptop me windows 10 hai aur ek laptop hai jo karab ho gaya hai, lekin uska hard disk may windows 7 install hai, kya mai yeh device use kar k Windows 10 login aur Windows 7 login dono kar sakta hun kya? Matlab mera jo laptop hai jisme windows 10 hai , oosi laptop may yeh device use kar k external hard disk ko b bootable kar k windows 7 login kar sakta hun kya? Matlab ek he laptop aur Windows 10 internal aur Windows 7 external bootable possible hai kya? Agar haan tho kya karna hoga aur agar nahin tho kyun nahi possible hai?

Ye possible hai.. Lekin dual boot banana padega..
Agar do system hain aor dono alag configuration ke hain to windows boot ek ka dusare men support nahi karta..
Isko confirmly check karne ke liye ap ek kam kariye ... isko bhi connect karke boot menu se is hard disk ko select karke boot karaiye.. boot menu F12, F9 ya kisi aor key se khulega ye aap search kar lijiye..
Ye ek bat hui... agar ye support kar gaya to theek hai aap boot menu se win7 boot karake kam kar sakte hain..
Ye ek alag tariqa hua matlab ye qanun ke hisab se nahi hamari trick ke hisab se hua..
Qanun ke hisab se ye hota ki ki pahle aap dono hard disk ko lagaiye..phir ek men lower version of windows install kariye phir Uppar version ... aor pahle version ko bina format kiye dusra veraion alag partition pe dalne se dual boot ban jayega .. is tarah se apko boot menu pe nahi jana padega..
Apko windows ane se pahle dono windows dikhega jisko chalana ho wo aap aelect kariye aor chalaiye.. ye sahi tariqa hai..
Note... kabhi bhi external hard disk se system ko as Boot OS nahi chalana chahiye.. means jaise windows chalana hai to permanent fix hard disk pe hi hamen windows ya other OS run karana chahiye.. bahar se run karane se kabhi hard disk hil jaye disconnect ho jaye to hard disk aor windowa dono ke crash hone ka khatra rahta hai..
