My HDD signal and power pins are the same but the last set of pins has 8 pins compared to yours which has 4 pins

Hi, wanna ask if failure hdd still can read by this cable?
Some few HDDs have a chance to enter a read only state when failing
This is very rare though, usually only SSDs have this
This adapter won't magically fix a HDD that already can't be read by a computer, you'll need data recovery services by then
This is because to safely open and repair a HDD, the environment must not have any particles. If any particles get on the drive then it is lost
Attempting to open and fix it on your own is very risky however technically possible

Mine was working fine until I attached it to one particular HD. At that point it whirled up, then turned off. After that, it did the same with ever HD.
Bro I bought new one like this converter but my phone connected and showing read memory only with my phone I can't able to delete or move my file on to hdd what should I do ,😢😢😢

Yes it won’t, need a power supply for 3.5” but in 2.5” no power supply needed.

I wouldn't call it a charger, more like a power cable since its supposed to power the hard drive and not charge a battery

I was told by a shop owner whom I bought it from to not use it frequently as your HDD will be at risk from getting damage due to being use continuously. So if you plan it to use as a main permanent HDD console you will only damage it and turning it as a main drive will damage it worse. Use it sparringly.

You don't have to buy the exact one, just buy a trusted brand if you don't feel safe. Buy one that doesn't need an adapter just to plug into the wall outlet

Worked out great ,installed my old HDD into the converter and have it running in 60 seconds. Then reformatted it and wiped the old OS off ready to rock and roll in less than 2 min not counting the 3 min it took to read up how to.
